Avoid

This company is registered to a rented room in central London. They cold called my elderly mother 150 miles away and then over charged her for unnecessary work. The paperwork they left was only signed with initials so we have no idea who actually did the work. We are now going to have to get another company in to put right what they have done.

Preying on the Elderly

I was asked to attend a job that this company had carried out as they were unsure if it was necessary.
Upon visiting the property (as a MCS certified contractor)

I found that they had cold called the elderly homeowner and had informed them that they needed a replacement inverter as the existing one was old.

They fitted a growatt inverter, a direct replacement for what was fitted, I estimate this to be a 30min-1hour job. And they then charged £3000.

A couple of weeks later the homeowner recieved another call from the same company telling them that they needed a replacement PV surge protection unit (unnecessary) And they then charged £5000 for this

In the final invoice they had also sold them a service and maintenance package for £1500.

Discusting business practices preying on vunerable elderly people.

Advised our customer(90 year old man)…

Advised our customer(90 year old man) he needed a new charge controller for his battery as his was faulty.
We were asked for second opinion as he didn't sleep worried about the £7000 this company were charging him.
No problems with the system and no errors logged in the inverter.
Just trying to Scam an elderly person into paying out a lot of money for nothing.

Note my experience before you agree to anything

Company rang me 3 days ago (using the name RS Solutions, to say that MCS has asked them to check my solar system as it was now 12 years old. A guy called Tom came today to inspect my system. He told me that the solar panels regulator fitted under the solar panels on roof had failed within the past 1-6 weeks and that it was a major fault which they would have to refer to MCS and may result in my FIT being stopped. They planned to fit a new regulator in 2 days time at a cost of £3995. MCS have told me that they never ask companies to go out and check systems. Risingsunshinesolutions are not MCS certified at present but informed me that the companies which they use to carry out any work are MCS certified. I have cancelled my order and requested a refund of my deposit of £500 which they say they have processed. Risingsunshinesolutions was incorporated as a company on 18 March 2025.
