On Line Orders

Since 2021 the general attitude of Rivers Staff and Management has been woeful.
In Jan. 2021 one of my on line orders came in bits and pieces, some in colors that I didn't select and it took a lot of follow up to get a refund for items that they advertised but did not have.
In Jan 2022 a large part of my order has still not been delivered, although I have been given a "Ticket Number" (whatever that is). But they did have the stupidity, last month, to say that they had found a reference to the Ticket Number and asked me "if I still wanted something done about it".
I answered that email, but later found that the email address does not exist nor does any other of their email addresses that I have found, that previously belonged to them.
On their supposed phone number you get a message that says there are delays due to Covid ( what after more than 2 years! ) and then you are told that there are a high level of calls, finally you are told "too busy today", then ring back or use the form on the left ( a sort of email with no email address ).
What I did find, by accessing my account was that my order had "disappeared" Really!
Conclusions:-
(1) This is a "rubbish" company (both Management
and Staff).
(2) The Management do not know what the word
"supervision" means and the staff have no work
ethic.
(3) Any company that takes your money, and does
not provide what you have asked for, and then
does not give you a refund, comes under the
definition of two words "fraud" and "theft".
(4) Attention Mr. CEO :- You haven't heard the last
of me yet.
(5) Attention Public :- Please boycott this
"company" and put the Staff and Management
out of work.

Pity I can't give them a ZERO because…

Pity I can't give them a ZERO because that is what they deserve.
Do not ever ever use their online store.
You will not get what you ordered and if you return the goods for a refund you will not get your refund.
You have been warned.
The ACCC is a waste of time for consumers. They are only interested in fining companies and not helping consumers resolve their complaints.
I have been waiting for a refund for 2 months totaling $23.96. Taking legal action is not possible so the company just ignores all contact.

Fraudulent and deceptive
On 16/1 I responded to an online advertisement from Rivers, offering "5 for $50". I made my selection from the items illustrated, and lodged my order through Paypal. Part of the order form advised that "Deductions will be applied at checkout", so I proceeded through the checkout system - only to find I had been charged $129.88 - overcharged $79.88 over the amount I was expecting. I made several attempts to contact Rivers, eventually being advised that the excess charge was because some of the items I had selected were not included in the sale. If that was the case, WHY were they included in the advertisement. Over the next two months I continued to push for a refund, in the meantime receiving four items from my order and also three other parcels, all addressed to me, containing a total of five unordered and unwanted items. The missing item finally arrived on 16th March. In frustration, I contacted Paypal, who opened a dispute. Paypal actually secured the offer of a full refund from Rivers, on condition I returned all five original items, in their original packaging. The items I had ordered were items I wanted, and two had already been worn. I explained this to Paypal, submitting a counter offer - I would return the five unordered items, still in their original packaging, with price tags (RRP almost $250), at their expense, in return for my refund of $79.88. Rivers did not respond to this, Paypal had put a time limit on their offer, the time expired, and Paypal notified me that they had closed the case. I am still almost $80 out of pocket, while still holding almost $250 of Rivers stock, which I don't want. Dealing with Rivers "bricks and mortar" stores is fine, but their online service is abysmal, and should be avoided!

annoyed customer

I ordered shoes in Dec 2021that were never delivered and after countless emails and trying to phone them finally got in contact and demanded a refund ,to this day I have not received . This company is the worse and should not be operating as they rip off customers and avoid any contact ,they deserved minus zero star rating and should be held accountable for treating customers appaling.

Ordered Feb 22… still no delivery…

Ordered in Feb 22… still no delivery (April). Numerous calls and emails and promises of a refund and STILL not refunded. I will never shop here again. Presently disputing via my payment method PayPal. Rivers are appalling

Pathetic performance

Do not buy items from Rivers Clearance.
They used to be very good with ordering and delivery, which is no longer the case. A massive waste of time constantly having to follow up an order.
I placed an order for 16 items on the 27/02/22, a confirming email stated the items I ordered had been secured and arrangements were in place for delivery.
I received 1 item 2 weeks later, nothing since.
Sent many enquiries to rivers through their system that generates a registered customer number. A reply email would follow explaining problems securing my order items such as high volume of orders, unavailability of some items.
The last message received 12/04/22 that 3 items were no longer available and in 7 business days a refund would be sent to me.
Nothing about the other 12 items still outstanding!
So far Rivers have achieved a 6% supply of my order will holding 100% of my payment 8 weeks ago.
Owners Mosaic Ltd. need to lift their performance in a massive way.

Terrible customer service and unwarranted delays

It has been over a month since I purchased ugg shoes fron rivers and no updates since, there is no excuse for such a delay as auspost and most delivery services are delivering within a week. I am a patient person, I have waited a month for items from other retailers before but they usually update me on what's going on, but rivers hasn't even provided me with a tracking number or progress and despite raising this issue with rivers via online complaint 2 weeks ago I keep getting automated responses thanking me for my patience. What is going on? My first purchase from rivers ever and I've had the worst online shopping experience.

I used to love this brand,but sadly their online "service" is shocking.Every time I order it never arrives,unless I make numerous phone calls and emails.I am sick of the neverending excuses.I just wish to be able to purchase goods and have them arrive without any hassle.This company should be fined.

Rivers Australia Parkdale,
Never felt so inadequate as a human being in my life. I couldn't find a staff member anywhere to find out about a pair of shoes. I'm disabled, with a walker. I called out 5 or 6 times could someone please help me, as I couldn't walk around the whole store looking for someone. My carer called out louder for help but nothing
As we walked to the exit a lady called Hannah came out of nowhere and abruptly started having a go at her. I felt very uncomfortable and hannah said "You have to come to the front desk if you want help". Im disabled and clearly she could see this. She EXPECTED me to chase her, a girl of less than 20 yrs. Discusting attitude. Abrupt condecending, not suited for sales......Really bad atitude to customers.
As said previously i cant walk easily and she could.see it as i walk slowly with a Walker. I bought a pair of shoes But will tell everyone i can of my appaling experience. She should be re trained, understanding customers or realize selling is Not for her
Absolutely disgusted.

Order not received from Rivers

Placed order on 21/1/2022 for 4 pairs of shorts and 2 pairs of shoes.
Received 1 pair of shoes that came from United Kingdom within 2 weeks.
The rest I have not received. I called and sent Emails up until I received a refund. I sent Email to CEO of Mosaic which own Rivers and did not get a response.
I was a big time spender and loved Rivers. They can kiss my support goodbye for ever.

Do not buy anything from this company…

Do not buy anything from this company on line. I ordered clothing from them on 26th Feb. To date I have had countless emails making excuses for the non delivery etc. Today (12/04/2022) after threatening them with ACCC they have promised to refund the order. This is no way to run a business and quite frankly with my experience and the other reviews below if I were a shareholder I would sack the senior management team for complete incompetence! Do not waste your time & effort with Rivers, buy from a company that respects your business.

NEG STARS - STAY AWAY FROM RIVERS!

I wish I had read these reviews also before I gave any of my money to rivers & I have set up this account for the sole purpose of trying to warn others not to waste your time and money.
I have never had such a horrible online purchasing experience.
I made multiple orders and being under $100 I also paid the $10 shipping fees. Parts went completely missing parts never showed up and some did. This was approx 8 weeks now overseas are quicker and more efficient. You cannot get through via phone, any email responses are automatically generated and my complaints of orders not received were continuously being ‘closed’ as ‘resolved’ quite clearly they were not. The emails state at the bottom to reply if this is not the case, only to have every response undeliverable! So you have to go and create a whole new query constantly and reforward emails back and forth it’s excruciating they are thieves!
Fair trading and ACCC need to shut this place down now. It is evident they are taking orders on stock they don’t have and do not contact you to advise and refund, and are clearly assuming people will not keep track themselves and keep your money.
STAY AWAY FROM RIVERS

Excerise in futility!!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I have been a Rivers customer for over a decade but the current online process is beyond frustrating. I purchased 2 basic hoodies for my son, 1 arrived about 3 weeks after payment..the second is somewhere in a parallel universe! It is now more than 2 months since I bought the items and no amount of emailing and phoning seems to expedite the missing hoodie...WTH is this company thinking??! "Way to go!" this isn't going to do your return custom or bottom line any favours...ACCC and PayPal are my next port of call! To anyone considering a "BARGAIN" don't be fooled ..take your money elsewhere !!

Add my name to the list. I simply trusted the Brand name and didn't do due diligence on their performance. I will have to contact Pay Pal now with my complaint and hope I get my substantial refund. What a waste of my time and what a disappointment. Onya Rivers.

Rivers - No more purchases

I have had online transactions with Rivers since 2019, and the process used to work well, order, pay, 5 to 7 days later the purchase was in your hands.
this order (21/02/2022) was after several emails and enquiries, refunded without notice or cause (05/04/2022). If I wanted the money, I would have left it in the bank and not purchased anything ....
The irritating thing is clearly they are advertising and not holding stock, so rather than advise the consumer, they go quiet. You still get spammed with their advertising emails, but business contact is slow and the response is bot generated so you cannot have a conversation (Reply) with them.
They offered a discount for my next purchase, hope you see the irony, I won't ever use it as I cannot get my confirmed, paid purchase to start with, so nice one Mosaic, give a token that cannot be redeemed.
Anyway, enough time wasted here, hope this warning helps some one decide to purchase elsewhere as Rivers is no longer the company it used to be and clearly cannot supply or manage client issues/complaints.

I know they are cheap, but definitely not worth it.

I ordered 4 pairs of shoes online 2 months ago, still haven't received anything but a lot of emails thanking me for being patient. Tried emailing them for a refund, no reply to 5 emails. Had to go to PayPal to resolve issue, they can't even be bothered to reply there, so had to ask PayPal to step in and resolve issue, hopefully they can help.
Worst customer service I ever dealt with.

I would give a zero star if I could im extremely disappointed in river I ordered my product on the 16 of Feb 2022 I then contacted them on the 26th of feb as I had no confirmation or shipping number to them telling me it had been picked up still on the 5th of April I have not received my item they have not called me back I have tried call 100 times tge wedding has now passed and I just want a refund of my money as im out of pocket due to having to put purchases the items from another store very poor customer service skills indeed no not order from them

DO NOT PURCHASE

Please believe me, I am actually on my knees, DO NOT PURCHASE from these fraudulent hacks, Its just not worth the stress! They are happy to send out 5 emails a day for 10's of thousands of products you will never ever see once purchased, and then you try to get a refund... Good luck with that it just wont happen. You have been warned, just look at 94% of negative customer reviews. How fair trading has not got involved is truley beyond me.

Delivery

I bought products in early February 2022. Almost 2 months later I have received only half the order. Several phone calls later after been told they would follow up. Nothing. There customer care is in the Philippines and apparently they work at home completely unsupervised and are unable to connect me to a person in Australia who could help me. I now want my money back and I can't speak to anyone who understands this. I now have to follow through with Consumer Affairs to try to get the money owed to me.
DONT EVER BUY FROM RIVERS YOU MAY BE LUCKY AND RECEIVE YOUR ORDER GOOD LUCK IF YOU DO.
