I love Riverside. It's easy to use, the interface is very intuitive, and when you record online there are different uploads for you and your guest which is useful if there is. a noise on one end, like a barking dog, which is often my case.

Poor poor poor. For the money they charge, there are always issues. We will be moving when our annual sub expires!! No native Windows version of the software is another joke.

The software is so clean and easy to use. It makes you feel like a professional editor even when you are simply a layperson! There is enough 'stuff' to help professionalise your recordings without feeling overwhelmed and it's intuitive interface means that you can hit the ground running.

Locally created files ensure full quality without broadband-related problems. Cool AI tools are speeding up postprocessing. They also have customer-oriented support. Some time ago, I accidentally paid the full-year subscription, even though we had a planned break a month later. I've been refunded, even though it was clearly my mistake. After the break, we happily came back to the Riverside.

The Mac app frozen and shut down part way into a live presentation - with many of the audience leaving as we tried to re-enter via the browser. Won't be using it again!

Love Riverside, it's been very helpful and easy to learn. I've manged to do three videos a day with it for a month, without much effort. So highly recommended.

Always amazing customer service. You can't really receive this level of service these days from any other comapny at comparable price tags. The software is updated frequently with new features to help us provide easy edits to our podcasts.

This is the best service, for the "jack of all trade". It is user friendly, and has all the bells and whistles to create an efficient, and lightlabour . My team and I love this especially interviewing and podcasts from different regions that may not have same quality of bandwidth or equipment (mic/camera).

This is what happens when a company rushes to implement AI features and releases a product that should never have been put on the market, even as a free program.

Furthermore, it's as if they did absolutely no UI/UX research. Basic features of editing software are either missing or don't work. For example:
-can't join clips
-content lost when splitting clips
-auto-generated transcript is out of order if someone interjects while someone else is talking
-no way to separate two people talking at the same time, even though they're on separate tracks

Returning to the sub-par, rushed to market AI features, using the AI pause and filler word removal results in horribly chopped up clips in which the beginning and end of words are cut off and no pauses are left in between edited sections.

Lastly, you can only export individual tracks of the full, unedited recording, so if you've suffered through trying to fix all the terrible AI editing and can't make certain edits because of the lack of basic functionality, as mentioned above, and want to export your tracks to a reliable platform (like, say, Audible, which is free), you'd have to edit the entire thing over again manually.

Someone should be, at the very least, incredibly embarrassed to have shipped this. But even better, someone should have lost their job over this garbage.

I have used Riverside for nearly 18 months now. Overall experience is great. They keep adding new features which makes a lot of difference to the general experience. It is not 100% all the time but who is? Certainly great experience all round 👍🏾

This platform is garbage. 80% of the five-star reviews are from people with only 1 review... anyone who can vibe code a terrible platform like this can also amass an army of fake Trustpilot accounts to cover up their terrible work.

It just doesn't work, support were fast to reply but didn't help me at all. Don't bother.

Riverside.fm was a game changer in terms of how I record and create content for my channels. I had tried other options, and after much frustration, gave Riverside a try. I was surprised to see how easy it was to record, add captions, screen text, and weave in b-roll. They continue to add new features regularly, which helps keep me up to date with current trends in social media and podcast content.

Riverside has met every expectation and exceeded them!
