I bought the Riverside Woodcraft Chatsworth Slate Roof Bird for £300.

I am reporting them to Trading Standards. It is described as having a slate roof - it does not! It is plastic!! Notwithstanding, the entire thing is an appalling pile of poor-quality junk!

I have taken many photographs of how it arrived and will be providing them to Trading Standards as evidence.

It arrived in many, many bits. I understood that some assembly would be required, but so much? For £300, this should have been fully constructed/made up already.

Nevertheless, the stand was broken, the roof slats were broken, screws were not fully fitting and were standing proud or bent, the feet of the stand were broken, the list goes on...

It is certainly not as described. The website gives the impression that they make them (there is a video of them putting one together). This is misleading. In my opinion, they receive them in kit form, and all they have to do is have to put them together, which they do very, very poorly.

Do not use them they are a con!

I ordered a bird table from Riverside woodcraft what arrived was a master piece the quality of the work was amazing. The beauty of the table stands well in my garden. The quality and workmanship is unbelievable. I am totally happy with my bird table and so too are the birds that are feeding from it. A master piece in the centre of my garden

They are efficient and have a fabulous product. I was kept up to date on the progress of the handmade hedgehog house and delivered promptly.
I can’t praise them enough.

Great product

We’ll constructed hedgehog home with a very good water proof top; which I hope is used by one of the local hogs this Winter.

Disappointed with theRiverside Woodcraft Golden Brown Hedgehog House.
The entrance is nothing like as shown in the adverts, it is no where near as nice.
They have scrimped on the screws, not as shown on their site.
And annoyingly the silver badge which i think finishes the box off nicely, IS NOT INCLUDED, apparently it is a cost saving but i think for £72 it should arrive as it's advertised.
No joy with emails & due to that i think i will be returning it.

Solid, waterproof houses. I have four of them. They have withstood the wet winter and I’ve had hedgehogs safely hibernate in them. They are cleverly constructed to prevent predators from getting in. The customer service is great. My emails have always been answered promptly. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a nesting house or feeding station.

I think this company is doing a brilliant job for hedgehogs and Wildlife ✌️ and I like to support them 100% for that.
I wonder if I could make a suggestion to give an option to buy a higher level of roof as my hedgehogs are rather large and I almost feel like they might be banging their heads on it – there are hedgehog sites that suggest that more space and therefore more circulation of air Would be good for them? I am very happy with the standard of build for my hedgehog house and feeder. They are wonderful.

The bird table lived up to expectations, it was nicely made. It did take 3 weeks to arrive from the point of ordering, so bear this in mind if you want it for a specific date, such as a birthday. The bird table was delivered in two separate parcels, one for the stand and the other was the bird table its self. The packing of the respective pieces in the boxes was not to a good standard, allowing for movement of the pieces. The bird table had suffered from transit damage as a result and need some remedial repair work where one of the roof ridge pieces had pulled away from the roof. Overall, I was pleased with the product.

A very well made extension to my existing hedgehog house to make it cat proof. Was easy to order, I was kept informed of progress of the order and it arrived quickly once dispatched. It was also very well packed. It was easy to attach securely to the HH house with the screws and bars supplied. Very happy.

The products are top quality, easy to put together and solid 👌🏼 just give yourself time to order if its for a gift as it about a 3-4 week wait

Placex order on 5th may and was told delivery would be 12th may. Asked for an update when it was a week late and was just told courier had split delivery. A small part of order then arrived on the 22nd and nothing more. There is no way to track the order and the company don't seem to care that they have taken money for something they haven't delivered

Really nice company to deal with. They kept in touch really well regarding my order and the product was really nice when it arrived with good assembly instructions.
