First of all dont go here

First, of all this school is disgusting. When i went for parent teachers meeting last year i finished using the bathroom and when i went to get soap there was poop on machine eww. They wont clean up the poop and the kid was just staring at me when my hand touched it.... VERY DISRESPECTFUL- when I was talking to one of the teachers they gave me a nasty attitude like they were yelling at me like dont do that i am not the one ? riverton can try me.

security

With the new construction project I find that the security of our children is a bit shaky. There are now two entrances, one of which is totally unmanned, and anyone can just walk in without being noticed.

Needs some serious improvements.

My son has been attending Riverton Charter school since 3rd grade. His first year was hands down incredible. The school had everything amazing to offer that gave a strong impression of success. Even it's lunches were curated for brilliant little minds. As the years progressed I watched the school take on changes and so did my son. I've witnessed my son's self esteem be chipped away at over the years with even most recently a teacher harshly commenting upon his appearance in the most tact less and completely unprofessional manner. With that said, changes are great for the betterment of a school and it's pupils. However, I have seen the opposite occur. My son is not highly into athletics, so he very much enjoyed the schools chess program. Which is now no more. He is now a 6th grader and there is no longer an arts program nor any form of music or instrumental studies available for his level. Even the technology classes given are lackluster. With no real world curriculum to truly benefit from. The schools library I strongly believe is not being utilized to its fullest potential. Why are the students not being allowed to borrow books and return? I understand that this is what our local libraries are for, however, our schools should be a secondary source while our community libraries are always too full. As an individual who has had the opportunity to experience both a European and an American educational system I am highly disappointed in what our children are being given for an education. It is my belief that a well rounded curriculum of the arts, fundamentalism, academics, and most recently real world computer technology makes for a forward thinking mind prepared for college and the rest of the world. With what Riverton Charter school is currently offering I do not forsee this for the future of its students.

We Love Riverton Street Charter School

I love the passion that the Principal and her staff have at ensuring that the scholars are successful. They provide support for scholars and the parents ensuring that we are equipped to assist our children. I'm also excited about the partnerships that are being brought into the school to further help our kids excel.
It's refreshing to see that the teachers actually care for the success of our children as if they were they're own.
