I bought HD2 dash cam and give you two…

I bought HD2 dash cam and give you two years warranty, in last two years I sent it more than three times to repair it. Can’t power on if you use it for a few weeks. Not worth it and go for nextbase dash cam.

do not buy from roadhawk website they send out cheaper crap items then tell you they are an upgrade when the item they send can be brought for 25% of the price elsewhere they said i can return which i did then had to open paypal case to get the refund but they still not even pay return postage which by law they have to so reported to trading standerds

AVOID

Our DC-1 has always worked as it should until google maps stopped working. On ontacting RH they advised a software update is needed - but it is not available for the DC-1.

It is appalling to find another company that takes one's money and then leaves one in the lurch. To keep being told it is the same with everything is of no interest. Our interest is our DC-1.

Complete Rubbish !

The worst camera I have ever owned. Out of the box .. app connected once, had no control over the camera at all, menus dont work. WIFI said it was connected but app kept saying it wasnt. Spent most of an afternoon, app simply does not work. Took out the SD card, what had recorded when played back on a laptop was just green lines. For 2018 this is just junk, do not purchase this camera. Quite simply total rubbish. I have posted remarks on Roadhawks face book page, plus one of the videos.

Camera lasted 36 hours and appalling customer service

Bought Roadhawk Vision as wanted a mid range camera. Firstly the app wouldn't download files, then the camera stopped working after 36 hours.
Customer service is appalling. It took over 24 hours just to email me a standard returns label, 48 hours to reply about the app problem, then when I was notified that they would be issuing a refund (at my request) I had to chase them several days later to get it.
One star is too much.
Never again will I buy from Roadhawk (who are owned by Trakm8).

Recordings date wrong.

The date on the recordings is always wrong. I set the date and time which is correct but when I review a recording the date is wrong. I returned it to Roadhawk but they said 'no fault found they said'. So I have very disappointed with this unit and also found it slow to down load and review pictures to the phone via wireless. Quicker to remove the card.

Roadhawk HD-2 camera

I have used Roadhawk car products for past 6 years but recently upgraded to HD-2 version. It unfortunately has a processor / firmware glitch which causes a power failure and camera becomes unusable. I’ve had multiple replacements but problem persists. HD-2 model now no longer marketed but not providing refunds / replacements. Customer service when based in Cornwall excellent but since transfer to Birmingham last year it is now slow and very poor. Great shame. Their older products are still working well but obviously product development has been an issue.

Road Hawk customer care bottom shelf

Road Hawk camera great, after service and memory cards rubbish.
Dispite the biggest card they sell, quoting to work with my product it doesn't and when emailing to get it sorted out no reply was ever received.
Customer care sucks.

Great piece of kit, so compact, I look fwd to experiencing it on one of my motorcycle runs (when the temperature rises a bit. Merry Christmas all !

my camera keeps calling off the screen, poss a bad suction mount ?

the camera keeps falling off the screen. I rang and mentioned this and was told a replacement screen suction mount would be sent out to me. That was two weeks ago. Been told today that another mount has been sent out so expecting all to be good and will update review when I've had a chance to use it i have now received a new mount and this one seems much better so now a happy customer

Poor customer service

Nice piece of kit but Roadhawk never bothered to respond to an emailed query about payments - and in my book that counts as poor customer service. It gave me the impression that once they had my money they didn't give a stuff about anything else. I'll probably buy from someone else next time.

Quick service, shame about the American twist

I've bought from them twice, never had a problem. They lose a star for jumping on the Black Friday bandwagon. I'd have been more than happy to have been e-mailed about a pre-Christmas discount, but to have it associated with an American marketing gimmick just annoys me.

Bullet R+

Great compact camera for biking and mounts available to use in the car. Only tried it in the car so far and picture quality good for the price and pixel. Downside like so many bike and dash cams is the battery capacity. 1 hour is just not enough with todays technology. Hard wiring is risky for someone not technically minded and expensive to get main dealers to carry out. This applies to both bikes and cars. Cables hanging everywhere are unsightly. Cant understand mobile phone battery technology can't be incorporated.
