Quality has plummeted
I ordered a Road ID bracelet in December for a family member who does ultra-marathons. The product was nice--stamped metal, nickel-colored with a sturdy bracelet. Just ordered one for myself four m months later and what arrived was a cheap plastic ID that was about 40 percent smaller and not even stamped. It was just printed and it was so small you could barely read it. One swipe on a rough surface and the lettering was gone.
Not sure what others are mad about
Not sure what others are mad about. You get exactly what you ordered. Not amazon fast but quick enough. I camp alot. Nice to have in the event of something terrible happening.

--- This is one of the worst products I have ever seen.
--- For what should be nothing more than a simple bracelet, it is difficult to set up and it falls apart very easily. Is very flimsy and loosens up so easily. These are substandard characteristics for something that is intended to be a source of information in the event of an emergency.
--- We have decided that this product is not reliable as a bracelet. However, since the information on the clamps are very useful, this item will be carried in the patient's pants pocket, assuming that, in an emergency situation, rescue personnel will check all of the subjects pockets when looking for information on the subject.
--- Meanwhile, this product clearly needs to be redesigned.
Oxidation and clasp sealed shut
I started buying the product three years ago. When I first bought it. I bought Rose Gould class for two different bracelets, and I bought three bracelet colors. And then I brought four additional Id bracelets for other pieces of jewelry i’ve been working with the vendor because the Rose Gold clasp The color is wearing off. One of them won’t open her clothes anymore. With just your finger. You have to use a little screwdriver to open it to then squeeze the buttons to release it. The red medical alert ID tags that go on either side. the under side is flaking enough like rust on metal I don’t believe they see them properly to be able to deal with the acidity on a person skin. i’ve been a Member for three years. But I think at this point it’s time to move on.
Hard to put on
The opening in the clasp is barely bigger than the thickness of the band. This makes it difficult to put on, especially if you are bigger than average - although I suspect average and even smaller people have a hard time with this.
Expensive for what it is as well.

I've had several Road-ID bands over the last 10 or so years, I recently bought a plate for my Apple Watch band and it arrived super fast and high quality, I also invested in their "ID Protection" for a few € and I'm glad I did, I've changed address and being able to get my ID updated by just paying shipping was fantastic !!! I also messed up my order and with the fast responses of Randy The Robot & Bethany G they sorted me out in less than an hour, I can't understand why some people have had bad experiences, for me it's been 10/10 for 10 years !
How did this screwup happen?
I placed an order and included my current email address. Somehow they used my old, disabled email address for the order. Now to see the order and shipping status a code is required to log in. Guess where the code is being sent? My old disabled email. Hopefully it will arrive, like I always say, time will tell.
This company should have better reviews…
This company should have better reviews than it has. Its probably one of the better companies I have seen in a long time, very customer friendly and delivered with humor. They took care of my problem immediately, in fact after I wrote to them they contacted me to make sure there would be a solution. It wasn't a major problem, I just didn't like the clasp. A new product is being sent to me. I just paid the shipping fee.
Dissapointing
Order process was simple but it goes down hill from there. The delivery period was in my opinion awfull, 19 days from order. The product does what it says but I feel it is very overpriced for what it is. Customer care is non-existent, I sent 2 emails while waiting for delivery to ask for an up date and I still have not had a response.
OVERPRICED AND UNDERWHELMING I bought the stretch band with one…
I bought the stretch band with one badge and tag that comes with it. I paid $36 ($6 was shipping). This is one of the most overpriced and outrageous rip offs I’ve experienced. It is a glorified rubber band that has nothing fixed to it. The badge and tag have to be clipped on and they both float around the band. They are very flimsy and don’t seem like they will hold up too long. I just feel at this price that they could at least have a tag that is fixed to the band and have it made of quality material. I’m guessing their material cost is no more than $1.50.

However NONE of their wrist ID’s have an American color scheme. You earn your money here but fail to honor the hard working people who provide this country with its success! SAD!

Excellent Customer Service, excellent product
Excellent Customer Service, excellent product. The customer service knows his job, they listen to your needs and do their best so that the customer is happy. I had a problem with the size and they quickly SOLVED it.
The product is of quality and is very comfortable. I have had several and this one is the best.
No way to change the shipping date even when you place the order
They have a place to put instructions so I requested a shipping delay. After they shipped it they sent a useless email saying they couldn’t delay it and included a statement to reach out to my post office to hold my mail. Not possible.
Great customer service
Good product and very quick response from customer service!
Amazing Customer Service + Product
I just received my Road ID bracelet and it was exactly what I wanted! I also received a hand written card from Becky who packaged my order and it was very kind and genuine. Such a lovely company + amazing product. Provided very great tracking info for my product as well.
I really want to like RoadID but I just can not...
I really want to like RoadID. Their ideas are great but their customer service is nothing short of horrid.
Recently RoadID decided it was a good idea to complicate the login process to their site, which now requires they send you an e-token every time you want to login. Other than bureaucrats and politicians, who thought complicating things was a good idea? With the new login process, I cannot even get into my RoadID site to update my new information for emergency points off contact, etc. Their "updated" token idea did not, and still does work for me, nor for my wife, and others in our cycling club (and many reviews reflect the same for other customers), so we cannot replace our missing tags, nor our dogs' tags. Calling them is pointless, even though they say they return EVERY message. I emailed them and all I got is a snarky reply from Bethany who "removed" my access to everything, even though I have paid for a subscription to their database for emergencies.
I recommend avoiding this company until they can get their customer service staff retrained on what customer service actually is, and until they can unbugger their login process. Once I get a call with a real fix I may consider staying with them, but until then, they can kiss my RoadID good-bye.
terrible shipping experience to Canada
I purchased a RoadID tag due to a recent medical diagnosis and selected the fastest shipping option at the checkout for delivery to Canada (since I have a recent medical issue, I wanted my RoadID ASAP!).
That option was UPS, which cost $30 CAD. I still have not received my order after 7 business days, and also got charged $25 CAD 'customs brokerage fees' by UPS on top of the $5 CAD in Canadian government taxes and import duties. I don't mind paying the import duties/taxes but if I'm going to get charged a whopping $25 CAD for 'brokerage' on top of the already exorbitant $30 CAD shipping fee, RoadID should specify that up front!
I have sent two separate emails to RoadID customer service about how difficult the shipping has been with UPS and got nothing but generic responses from them.
I'm overall extremely unsatisfied with the shopping experience, do not recommend purchasing from this store as they are unresponsive and have terrible shipping options.
Loved Road ID until the new version…
Loved Road ID until the new version came out a couple of months ago, now it's lost past rides (not a big deal but it was a few hundred) and it's all a bit wishy washy colour wise now. Still does what I want but the change hasn't made it better
NEVER ARRIVED
Bought dog tag. Never arrived have tried on numerous occasions to get help from them and find out what happened. No luck. They don’t reply to emails. So be wary when dealing with.
Great product and amazing quality
Great product and amazing quality, have got it several years ago for my kids and the faceplate still has no scratch at all and the text engrave looks as new. Now got one for myself, this thing will not wear out.
