Great rock choir songs singing in the sunshine with great friends. Our leader Christina is very professional and makes learning fun. Anyone who’s thinking of joining- do it. It’s a great way to make new friends.

I've been going to Rock Choir Dorchester for about 6 months now and I really can't overstate just how enjoyable it is. Our choir leader is so talented; not just musically but in her ability to create a joyful, energetic and inclusive experience for everybody. I've belonged to other choirs for many years, but the musical choices at Rock Choir are so up my street. It is such an uplifting experience. The sense of community is real and pulls you in whether you like it or not haha! I look forward to rehearsal each week and love how many opportunities there are to perform. I can't recommend it enough; it has really added something to my life.

I joined Kate Threlfall's Sheffield choir in 2019 and all I can say is I wish I'd done it sooner. The difference it has made to my life is incredible. I studied music as a child and teenager and played in orchestras and sang in choirs, but then gave it all up to be a Nurse. I never stopped loving how music could reach any emotion and sooth the soul and never stopped singing at any opportunity I could get. But what isn't in the literature it what else Rock Choir gives you. The friends I have made are honestly the best friends I've ever had❤️ Music brings people together and we are a family who are there for each other through happy and sad times. Ive never laughed so much or had so much support.
Kate is incredible. She is super talented, kind, funny and cares about everyone of her members. Her teaching style is nurturing and she listens and helps everyone to be part of her inclusive choir. She really is a huge asset to Rock Choir and they are very lucky to have her.
Rock choir isn't just about the singing. It's about being one choir together, the chance to perform, attend events, the socials and all the add ons available to us. I'm super excited about Abbey Road and the NEC and everything else ahead of me. Rock Choir has given me so much and for that I'm grateful. If I had one negative, it's that I can never get to sleep on a Wednesday as I'm just so buzzing from the session and cant stop singing😂
Honestly, don't think about it,just do it. You won't regret it🎶⭐️🎼

I have been a member of Kate Threlfall's Sheffield Choir for 5yrs and have loved every minute of it.
I joined in 2020, just before Lockdown after I battled years of major depression and anxiety.
I had always loved singing, mostly in my house or bedroom, never really having the confidence to let others hear. That was until I found this choir online and bit by bit my confidence grew.
Then lockdown hit and I found myself furloughed so had to suspend my membership which they were very supportive of, till I could rejoin after 4ms.
They quickly created an online service so as to support their members through the covid pandemic.
Which was a life line to me and so many members at that time.
When we finally came together In person again it was very emotional and I finally pushed myself to do a performance and x14 later, I've never looked back (Edinburgh Fringe 2024). Even attempting a Solo, which Kate was very supportive of.
What I love about Rock choir is our amazing choir leader Kate who makes the sessions both enjoyable and supportive.
All the songs are selected to be uplifting and positive with a mixture of old and modern songs from different genres.
The performances are community minded and for charitable causes.
So if you love singing and what to be part of something and challenge yourself, join a Rock Choir group near you, you won't be disappointed!

I absolutely love my Tuesday nights at RockChoir. I’ve made loads of friends and learned so many good songs. Even if I’m feeling tired or down before I go to choir, I come out feeling so much better.

This was a bucket list experience for me! I've wanted to do a flashmob for years but never quite worked up the courage to join one - so glad I did, it was tremendous fun.
I hadn't been with the choir for long so was pretty nervous but, I have to say, Stourbridge Rockies are a lovely group of folk, so welcoming and so supportive.
Paola Olivetti, the choir-leader is amazing - she quickly has you feeling like you can confidently join in and she leads so passionately, it's inspiring.
If you love to sing (and who doesn't, right?!) I highly, highly recommend giving a taster session a go. Best thing I've done in years.

I joined my local choir about 6 weeks ago because although I do not sing very well I do love to sing. Unfortunately, the choir is made up of lots of little cliques who save seats for each other, and I have even had 2 women talking across me when I had obviously sat in one of "their" seats. There was no effort made on their part to include in me any conversation not even to introduce themselves or ask my name. I was even asked last night how many seats I was saving!!! Someone called Ruby Ronnie has complained that they aren't allowed to save seats and complained about it being like school but saving seats is very much like what children do at school and does not give new members a chance to feel part of the choir. I noticed a few singers last night who, like me, were sitting separately from the cliques but as we were different parts of the choir I could not join them. I shall keep going until the end of term but shall have a good think as to whether I renew my membership.

I had been in Rock Choir for 14 years until recently. I tolerated feeling like you're back at school with their rules and regimentation eg. Prefects; not being able to save a seat for your friend; etc. However within my experience there is an other side to the company not seen publicly. Beware! This company auto-enrols you so even though I had not enrolled or attended for the Summer Term 2025 they pursued me for Summer Term payments. Three different departments chased me saying they couldn't 'retire' me and it was 'a matter of urgency'! My advice is to make sure you read the T's and C's. This is no ordinary friendly local choir; this is a money-driven company beneath the veneer, in my opinion. I hope this helps.

I've been in Rock Choir for almost 10 years. Can't imagine life without it. Over the years the songs and arrangements have got better and better. I've made lovely friends there too. Can't recommend it enough. Learning words, melodies and dance moves has kept my brain sharp. Love having coffee and a laugh after choir too. And performing in the community is a wonderful experience. We even recorded some songs at Abbey Road.

I have been going to rock choir for 8 months now. It is such a powerful experience to get together once a week and sing your heart out with a group of others. The songs are great arrangements, fun to learn, the choir is a really welcoming, warm and inclusive space and our choir teacher Liz is just the best mentor and an inspiration. I love that we are learning the same songs as the other rock choir groups and so can come together in the hundreds and even thousands to sing together in harmony! Just amazing!

Rock Choir is wonderful! Rehearsals each week are uplifting and fun. Our leader, Sadie in Bridport, is just amazing, she’s so talented and certainly knows how to get us sounding the best that we can be. I’d recommend anyone to come along and give it try, you won’t regret it! There’s no pressure, everyone is so friendly and welcoming and when we perform in and around our communities we have the most wonderful time!
