Quick and simple process for a good result
I am an elderly nephrology patient, with diabetes and have had a heart attack, who does not have a family doctor. My nephrologist is very busy and so my kidney clinic nurse recommended Rocket Doctor as a convenient and quick way to get renewals for my medication prescriptions. I found Rocket Doctor to be just that, convenient, quick, and helpful from caring doctors who have actually taken the time to review my medical records and then discuss them with me.
It is very convenient because I work out of town and it is difficult to see a doctor. I have always had good experiences with the doctors at Rocket Doctor. In my most recent appointment the doctor was very helpful. He asked me questions to make sure I understood the medications I was requesting. At the end, he asked if there was anything else which reminded me that I did have another issue I had been meaning to check on.
I phoned Rocket Doctor and then had to race home because I was given an appointment for half an hour later. That is far easier and more efficient than even going to see a doctor face to face. Excelent service and as usual the doctor was excellent!
I was listened to. I wasn't left in a crowded waiting room well I was feeling very ill. The doctor asked me all the questions that would be asked in a walk-in clinic. Very compassionate and a great bedside manner. In fact, better than I have had at physical clinics or emergency dept.
They set the time for your appointment and they are on time. Very easy! Skip the sick waiting room or clogging the emergency departments and use this service all covered by ohip.
I had some weakness and dizziness and wasn't able to get myself to go to the doctor so I wanted to see how I could get a quick appointment online. I was impressed on how quick I got reached out. The doctor was kind and well spoken. He was quick and direct as well.
Efficient and quick service. They call you to book an appointment with a doctor the same day you put in a request online.
Dr. Cherniak, Myla booked me an appointment for 12:45 today. I waited an hour past the appointment time then called and sent an email. She then responded with I missed my appointment at 2:45 and is charging me $40 for as no show. I now am going without my medication due to her incompetence. This is not good service. I do have the email stating the date and time if you need to see it.
In response to yours, that seems to be what you tell a lot of people.

This is not a critique of Rocket Doc as much as a critique of the advertising policies that may or may not be the result of RocketDoc policies. I was attempting to book an appointment with rocket doc today but was seamlessly redirected to an advertiser selling a service similiar enough to rocketDoc I never noticed the switch from rocketDoc to the advertiser. The advertiser asked for a $5 refundable fee. When I approved assuming it was validating my ID a $80 charge from "Askadoctorhelp.com" appeared immediately. I called my credit card company and Immediately canceled my cards and contested the charge which will no doubt noe cost me hundreds of dollars worth of my time. Worthless scam, there is nothing Askadoctor help.con can do that the premium chatgpt I already pay for cant do ten times better....unless they can order labs, prescriptions or referrals, which I'm sure they can't and is the only reason I was using RocketDoc in the first place.I have generally had good experiences with RocketDoc itself, they have good Dr.s generally willing to really listen and mobilize the public system resources we cant access due to long wait times, burnt out or indifferent doctors who see their role as rationing access not optimizing health. But they need to be aware of how their front end is being exploited by AI models to fleece as many of their clients as possible with worthless services making unauthorized charges.

I had a phone appointment in BC (that I paid for) scheduled for 7:50am and waited until 10:11am before sending an email to customer care because I hadn’t heard from a physician nor any updates. The customer care person who followed up via email at 11:33am was kindly apologetic but could not offer reasoning for the situation and would “keep me informed about any progress” regarding the missed appointment. I sent a secondary email, at 2:35pm, which was
at the three hour mark from when I was last responded to, and finally got a phone call from customer care at 5:30pm. On the call, customer care explained that the physician was sick and couldn’t make the scheduled appointment time, which I find a bit strange because the first customer care representative literally booked me in over the phone at 7:41am for a 7:50am appointment, and our whole booking conversation lasted 4 minutes based on my call log- so with the little information I have the physician seemed to have gotten sick in a 9 minute window from booking to appointment time and then it took customer care 9+ hours to inform me with no cancellation notification until they rebooked me over the phone at 5:30pm… I can only speculate any further reasoning why there were issues. I ended up talking to a lovely physician the following day who reached out to me in a very timely manner and fulfilled my request with no further problem.
It’s understandable that high workloads may cause delays, and it is blatantly stated that the team is managing a busy setting, but waiting for over 9 hours from the time of missed appointment to resolution is irresponsible. Especially concerning if experiences like mine are not a one off, and based on the other reviews it appears I’m not alone.
I’ve had 2/3 great experiences with Rocket Doctor for prescriptions. Specifically, an appointment with Dr. Galas in the past was nothing but helpful and so was customer care at that time. I was more than willing to pay for this service because of how fast it had been but I, and assume many others, don’t have time for it to be a hit or miss and it is not an inexpensive hit or miss either. This particular negative experience has changed how I feel about their services and the explanation I was given by customer care for the missed appointment feels odd based on my review of the communication timestamps.
Rocket Doctor’s online mission statement includes being “quick and convenient”, and I hope they continue to strive for this because telemedicine has potential to serve the community if done appropriately.

I am so so so grateful for rocket doctor, I used them when I lived in Toronto during the pandemic and it was so great and easy to get a doctor. When I moved to BC I was pleasantly surprised that they cover rocket doctor appointments here and being in a small town. It is so convenient and the staff is always really nice and I have never had a bad experience. I also like how they have a doctor who's best qualified to address any of my specific needs, I highly recommend rocket Doctor! It's convenient, professional and I've never had a bad experience. So grateful they are there!
Well after a shitty 3 experiences with Rocket Doctor this one takes the cake. The first one was when I was travelling and because I was visiting someone in Alberta they couldn’t help me so intake person said they would call me back the following Monday when I returned to BC. That call never happened, I got an email later saying they were trying to reach me which was a complete lie, they tried once! I emailed back giving a date and time to call me and that didn’t happen.
I tried a third time with rocket doctor and I had to pay this time around of $38 bucks. That got me about 30 secs of a doctors time. She didn’t really care, didn’t ask me questions, had me wait 40 mins to pick up the call as she wasn’t working that day. I got a referral to get an ADHD assessment from her that’s it.
I just got a call from that office and because the doctor I got from Rocket Doctor is in Ontario they can’t book me an appointment. I have to see another bloody doctor in BC.
Needless to say this service is absolute shit and a waste of money.
Sincerely,
Frustrated and pissed off

I have had some good experiences with Rocket Doctor but unfortunately also some really bad ones. Several doctors miss booked appointments and even when you have an appointment they fail to send your prescription. So you think your problem is going to be treated to be left with the run-around of trying to get them to track down the doctor to get your prescription sent to your pharmacy.
I’ve had doctors miss appointments at least 5 times and also not send prescriptions after the appointment is finished several times. Not good considering this is paid health care.

Appointment was for 10:30am. I joined the session at 10:25, and stayed in session until 12:25. Not a single call or anyone joining session. Tried calling customer service multiple times with no answer, emailed customer service as well and no answer there either. Not impressed

I now believe this site is a working fraud, A Dr's appointment was made and the Dr could only use the "chat" feature in the video meeting, this has been reported many times in the ratings. I required a signed form for a simple medical declaration, I was told in followup emails that this document would be returned within 7 days signed for a small fee which is normal for this document anywhere you go, in person or otherwise. In polite email I stated if this is a misunderstanding please explain and I would give them some time to explain or produce the document. Now all emails are being ignored, I am convinced this site is a fraud if not a fraudulent site it the most incompetent Dr's and system I have encountered. I am now left with no choice to inform my banks fraud department and the respective Physician provincial boards and warn them, further to this the RCMP internet fraud department needs to be notified as well.
Note,
you will receive delaying emails of "I'll look into this," this is a stall tactic I believe, the emails look professional but I feel now they are potentially AI replies given the quick turnaround of the replies. When you call the number to speak to someone no-one picks up and then you get a text reply. I did have one in person conversation regarding payment and that was it.
If this is a misunderstanding on Rocket Dr's part or a backlog of work it needs to be explained ASAP before I submit complaints to the proper agencies, tomorrow the 13 Jan 2026, is the deadline.
I will write another review or remove this one if I receive my doccument, the added review will be the with the Dr's name and all involved in the email as a warning to all if this is not resolved by tomorrow.
Jan 13 2026,
now convinced this is a complete "Phishing" site for information and identity theft.
please note the reply below from rocket Dr, I replied to their email request and no reply, this seems to be the norm.
Jan 13 update, this site has been reported to OHIP in Ontario as well as my banking department as fraud, BC and Alberta are in process of complaints being filed.
Pay special attention to the standard reply to all the negative reviews, save all forms of communication, texts, emails, chats and use your screenshot feature.
Jan15 update;
My bank has determined this company is fraudulent it appears within 12 hrs.
Look at the reply details from R/Dr, AI Im thinking. If this is not a scam then I would have received my form completed and returned to me as they have my text number and email, this is NOT the case.
Jan 26 2026 update,
no contact from this service other than a request for payment for the completed form. I locked my credit card and there were strange amazon purchases pending, I think this was a "test" transaction that didn't go through. I requested that Rocket Dr send me their EMT details as I do not do credit card transactions now, well that was the end of them after that, no communication. If you are reading this it would be wise to lock your credit cards and get a new one, I have a suspicion credit card details are being sold or "Phished" for by this site, strange purchases will be small as not to draw suspicion.
It is worth noting that when I told them to send me their EMT details it was a "bot" reply within minutes of each other and the same msg twice.

Arranged an appt for this evening and was cancelled within 2 hrs of appt time by staff. They arranged another appt for the morning and just cancelled that appt. Once is acceptable but twice in a two hour time frame- unacceptable and would not recommend.

They canceled my scheduled appointment with no reason. Trying to contact them was impossible. Left voicemails and sent emails and also tried their chat line with no results. Absolutely pathetic

Poor service from Dr. K. Ayesh. She refused to use the camera and asked me to communicate only by chat. When I asked questions, she did not want to provide detailed answers and took a very long time to respond. I felt rushed and not properly cared for as a patient. Based on this experience, I do not think she should be part of the Rocket Doctor platform, as the interaction felt more focused on completing the appointment than on patient care.
