The ease of applying for the loan is a key factor in the high rating. Everyone was very helpful.
The whole process was easy and you have friendly people who care
Withholding my escrow check after closing a loan. Intentionally mailed it to the wrong address more than once. You can not reach any real human, there is no chat or email option.

It was a relatively simple and smooth process, however, I would have preferred that the payoff checks had been mailed directly to Chase instead of to me.

I wish I could rate a zero. Terrible experience since my loan transferred from Mr. Cooper to Rocket mortgage. Website is useless. Every time I call, my phone number and social are not “associated with my account.” Today I made a payment over the phone. The team member confirmed the correct amount so I authorized. Then I get a notification that the payment was $2,000 more than I authorized. I have sat on hold 3 times so far today for at least 20-30 minutes each to be told their system is down and to call back again in 30-60 minutes. Terrible.

We chose a four because of the mistake of a duplicate payment which resulted in a delay of our closing. Otherwise a 5 star.

This was such a smooth process. We were well informed every step of the way.
I had called for a refinance of my mortgage and a 2nd. The mortgage rep was very helpful and guided me to a solution. The loan process was quick and easy.
I’ve been with Rocket for years, and the transition to Mr. Cooper has been a downgrade in every way.
I get paid twice a month and had a system where I’d set up my bi-monthly payments 6 months in advance—never had an issue. After the transfer, they messed up one of my payments and tried to apply it as principal-only. Took me an hour on the phone fighting through their IVR just to get to someone who could barely fix it.
Then I called back later to set up my next 6 months of payments, and now they’re telling me I can only schedule 2 months at a time—and have to call in every time to extend it. Completely ridiculous.
Honestly makes me wish Rocket had sold my loan instead.

I felt throughout the entire process that I was their only customer. Always available, got the answers to any question and had an enjoyable experience.
Great communication back and forth with us to complete our loan.
Rocket team overall did a great job. My initial origination Adam French was a good communicator - he patiently gathered all my information, we assessed different options together, and determined that a 15 yr VA refinance would be the best financial solution for me - it consolidated all my high interest debt (credit cards, cars, ELOC) - I am very satisfied with the final outcome that was originated by Adam.
Getting to the final income was not easy but not all Rocket's fault - getting my VA certification was challenging as well as verifying my full-time employment.
Also, soon after I locked in my rate, I was transitioned to Dan Butterfield to finish out my loan - Dan was frustrating to work with - I eventually had to ask multiple times to be transitioned to a different loan officer. The reasons he was frustrating - he was not clear in guiding on exact paperwork I needed to pass underwriting, he quit on me in trying to secure my 15yr VA loan and pivoted me to a 30-yr without thinking things thru, he also made himself out to be too busy for me (his lack of response time was unacceptable). After I pleaded to be switched to someone who can actually communicate with me during normal business hours, I was thankfully switched to Dimitri.
Dimitri was awesome and a welcomed change from Dan. Dimitri was more attentive and helpful - he got everything back on track with my 15 yr VA refi. Everything went smooth after Dimitri took over.

Rocket’s process with the app makes it so easy to go through the loan process
Jacob Burk was excellent and professional and very respectful and honest in all his communications.
Communication with Justin Goike was fabulous. He seems to work 24/7. When he was out for a surgery, he had a team in place to keep the ball rolling. We will definitely recommend Rocket Mortgage.
