So I bought a new pair of Rockport. It tok a long time and many angry emails before I got... a pair of sunglasses from China! They had already taken my money for my shoes and my bank couldn´t reach the Chinese sender.

Ripoff on Returns
The shoes I purchased from Rockport online were terribly uncomfortable so I returned them. The ad said "free shipping". Typically online stores provide free returns. Not Rockport, they force you into a "Happy Return" (6.95 fee) and not only that charged me for the "free shipping and tax" and a restocking fee! What a ripoff. How do they keep customers?

I have been a loyal customer of the Rockport brand for 15 years. I have purchased 20 + pairs of shoes during this time. I have never complained until today. Recently purchased the Rockport Eureka mens shoe. I only wore the shoes twice when the sole separated from the main part of the shoe. When calling customer service said they would not warranty shoes because the shoes were purchased from Amazon and not directly from Rockport. Amazon says contact Rockport and Rockport says contact Amazon. The old blame game. Rockport definitely lost me as a customer for good.
Shoes were 2 sizes bigger than what the tag said
Rockport sent me shoes that were 2 sizes bigger than what was on the tag. The return process is terrible plus they will not refund the shipping costs even though this is their mistake. I just received a pair of Rockport walking shoes.
I had been anxious to receive them, as Rockport had always been a shoe that was both comfortable and well-made.
The shoes I received were anything but. They were tight. The shoelace holes looked as if they had been punched by a man in India with his pocket knife.
They were, as you guessed, made in India. Cheap materials. I had always admired the work that went into Rockports 25 to 30 years ago.
Now, I'm not even sure I will be able to wear them. I am so sick and tired of this that I will not bother to return them. I would sooner respect myself and throw them out.
2 weeks and still hasn’t shipped order
Placed an order for shoes on May 29, 2024 and 2 weeks later, Rockport has not shipped the shoes. I have contacted customer service and they say it will ship soon, they are experiencing delays. But not actually saying when the order will ship. There is no mention of long delays in shipping on their website. If I knew it would take this long I would have ordered somewhere else. My husband needs these shoes for an event and I don’t know if we’ll receive them, when we’ll receive or if they will fit. I would hate to have to deal with them for a return! I should have read the reviews before ordering. There are tons of negative reviews about Rockport. I thought they were a reputable company, I was wrong. Don’t order from Rockport! This is just an unacceptable way to run a business.
Ordered shoes -- Never shipped.
Ordered shoes, and received a "your order has shipped"message a day or so later. Checked with ups and there is no record of shipment ("shipping label printed"). Waited, then called a week later -- still had not shipped -- as was told I couldn't canel the order for 12 days. Now 22 days later I called, and finally got to cancel an order because customer service rep could not explain when order would ship. Undependable, and fradulent emails that say they are doing things they are not.

Poor customer service. Paid $22.95 for expedited shipping. Shoes were shipped UPS GROUND. I had the option for UPS ground when placing order for under $10. Wanted shoes expedited so I paid $22.95. Shoes were shipped the cheap ground service after I paid $22.95 for expedited. Rockport refused to make it right. I paid expedited they shipped cheap ground service. This store is a disgrace, I wasted my money. They do not provide an ounce of customer assistance. And they also use the company EVRI which does not deliver. I had to pay to look for this shoe in all the buildings around me, I did the missing item investigation work on my own. And when I finally found the shoe I had to return it and pay an absurd price to return it!

Rockport is no longer a good company
Rockport is no longer a good company. Their shoe quality has dropped over the years and their shipping policy is something out of the 1980’s.
I ordered a pair of dress shoes for a business trip. Because I was leaving in 5 days I spent $32 for “1-2 day shipping”. Yes, I know that’s crazy but I needed these new shoes. The shoes aririved 6 days later, a day after I left for my trip.
When I called to return they stated that the full purchase price, including shipping would be refunded. After returning I received notification that I was refunded only $72, the purchase price but not the tax or exorbitant shipping costs. They said that they require 2-3 business days for processing, and the 1-2 day delivery is added to that. Nowhere on their site is that stated. When you pay for 1-2 day shipping that is what you’d expect to get.
I’ll never again buy Rockport.

Rockport treated a huge customer with disrespect
I have receipts showing between my wife and I over the last 10 years we have purchased over $3,000 in shoes from Rockport. I have never, ever had a problem - until recently. They had clearance shoes where they stated the shoes could not be returned for a refund - that's the only condition listed. My history and record with them shows I have always, always worn (and ordered) the same size shoe over the years. The ones I recently received were ridiculously oversized - clearly a manufacturing defect. I went online to do the "exchange" since I wanted the shoes but needed them in a smaller size (I've never had to wear in my life) but that was okay as long as they worked. I checked online first and confirmed Rockport had in stock the smaller size I needed. They tell me I can exchange them. Their listing NEVER said anything about not being able to exchange them (especially since the shoes were incorrectly manufactured to an incorrect size). I told them I'd even pay their ridiculous $5 per pair return fee they charge - they still said "no." So, I know had over $150 in shoes (after the reduced sale price) I could not wear. I recently gave them to Goodwill since they do me no good. I immediately closed out my account and blocked their emails with my Outlook security features. I did try to email the CEO - I got a response telling me they would not forward my email to Rockport's CEO. I have that email as proof for anyone who wants to see it. I'll bet their CEO would love to see that email. Anyone know how I can bypass their CS department and get it to him/her?
