Rod Society went above and beyond to ensure we had a great trip in Trentino.

As experienced fly fishermen who have used other services, what made Rod Society stand out was the personal attention, direct communication, and quality of guiding. The fishing days themselves were challenging but beautiful and memorable. Our guide Alex was incredible, the accommodation options were perfect, and we would absolutely use Rod Society again for another trip.

On a whim decided I’d like to do the Prestigious Alpine Waters trip in northern Italy, visiting with family from USA. Last minute booking with not much availability but Rod Society, Andrea, and Paolo made it happen for me!! Very grateful. It was an amazing experience and my guide Paolo put me on some amazing fish. Got the grand slam and new PB. Highly recommend rod society for your next fishing adventure.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Rod Society. We had planned a trip to fish in Slovenia with a non-fishing Italian stay preceding it, but we discovered the Rod Society website a few months ahead of time describing all the Italian fishing opportunities. So we ended up fishing 3 different locations in Northern Italy before heading to Slovenia. We had a blast.

What made it so good was the quality of the local guides and their knowledge of the best local techniques to catch fish. We had good success, catching many wild browns, numerous rainbows, and one marble trout. All the settings where we fished were beautiful.

The Rod Society is very organized so getting instructions on where to go, what to bring, and how to pay was easy. Plus the owner kept up on everything that was going on and stepped in immediately when required.

You don’t hear many people talk about how good the fishing opportunities are in Italy. My wife and I can attest that they are plentiful, and that using the Rod Society is a great way to take advantage of those opportunities.

The Rod Society was able to accommodate us for fishing and lodging on short notice, adjust and adapt to different levels of anglers experience and offer other side quests outside fishing for an all inclusive, positive, fun, learning experience. There’s nothing like eating freshly made pasta for lunch then just rolling back into the river for an afternoon catching quick Mediterranean browns.

Hernán was a super proficient guide, with a lot of patience, he helped me correct my technique and was willing to look for the best spots to make me learn

the platform for booking was also great, the guys provided me with all the information that I needed to do the trip, definitely will try it another time with them

We had an incredible time fly fishing in Lago San Juliano with Albert, our guide, organized by the Rod Society. My son and I went for the first time fly fishing and the experience was truly something we will always remember.
The landscapes, the trek, and the incredible lake to fly fish were something exceptional. My son and I fished in total over 20 trout and were very happy with the overall experience.
Andrea, who organized it, was also very attentive to ensure everything we needed was in place. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to have some really great memories to cherish for the rest of their lives. Thank you Andrea and Albert for this incredible experience!

Rod Society gave us an incredible showing of Italy well beyond what many tourists usually experience - beautiful rivers, truffle hunts, mountain hikes, and so much more. They made it very easy for us to just show up and have a great time, which is a blessing in a country like Italy with very complicated license and access regulations for fishing! Rod Society took care of it all and took good care of us. Strongly recommend.

Rod Society, Andrea, and Hernan provided an incredible experience for my wife and I on our honeymoon.

Hernan was able to accommodate a significant difference in fishing style preference - I fly fish, while my wife had not caught her first fish until our trip.

Both my wife and I had the experience of a lifetime being nestled in the Andes Mountains while Hernan took us to breathtaking fishing spots and got us on fish.

The conversation was great. Hernan was more than attentive with making sure we had food, coffee, and yerba mate.

The spot for lunch on the beach was perfect and Parilla Hernan had an exquisite menu of ribeye, salad, and Patagonian beer and wine!

When we come back to Bariloche we will certainly be on the water with Hernan and company again.
