Roger's is destroying Canadian culture!!!
Rogers is nothing but greedy and has no problem destroying Canadian culture. How dare they take Hockey Night in Canada from us. Every single service I have with them will be canceled immediately over this.
Selling a business with Shaw and Services
Continued from yesterday with some removal of notations due to the restriction in characters available.
The request to cancel was April 2. Shaw has charged the company Visa 3 more months. I will request Visa to stop allowing Shaw to steal funds from the Visa and if they do not agree, close the Visa account. Then sue Shaw, report in the local papers, to consumer branch and to the CRTC.
The total stolen Visa/Bank is at least $2,500 plus my time and disruption of $2,000 and that of the new operator for say another $1,500.
Probably into this for $7,000.
Hope no one else experiences this.
If anyone wants to dispute what I am saying, I have all the information to go to court and would be happy to share it for reasonable requests except for Rogers of Shaw reps.
An update to yesterday. I basically took the entire day off (in addtion to half of yesterday) which cost me $$$ to deal with the above situation. I did yesterday before this review, send an unkind e-mail to one of the Shaw Reps. It was related to me getting all kinds of information on the new occupant to do a transfer of responsibility to the new operator that only the new occupant would have. My contract had ended so I have no responsibility to transfer. I did appologize but I am not sure if I should have. Anyway, I had two cell phones going with one ear bud in 1 ear from 1 phone and 1 in the other ear for the other phone. I phoned Rogers cell on one phone and Rogers internet on the other at the same time with a phone call to Visa inbetween to cancel it so Rogers cannot charge it anymore. This all day task went quite well. I got passed around a few times on the cell account issue but after the 4th person, talked to a pleasant lady and I was very very patient not getting mad after waiting more than an hour. This service was for a company I sold and my employee who works part time had the magic e-mail to get the code to access online. So I had to make due with that, I asked about the contract and she stated correctly that I had another 15 months on the contract which would cost $1,400 to pay out. It was then I realized that the new operator's new contract had nothing to do with taking over my contract. The operating and their new employee / my ex-employee thought they had successfully tranferred the account and they did spend hours trying to do this. It gets very confusing so I do not fault them. It has taken me a few months to figure it out. Somehow they got the number call forwarded back and forth to their other account and it is a bit muddled. What I am going to now that I changed the e-mail for the code to be sent to my e-mail is get the new operator to provide me with their credit card, insert it in the online account and they can be billed from now unil the end of the contract at which time they can either give me the phone back or +$500 and I will return to Rogers and close the account. This will solve this issue which cost me maybe $500 of my time. But; I am nearly off the hook from the cost of + $300 per month. I told the lady when the survey came I would give her a good review (even though at the end she was trying to get me to agree to a Rogers Mastercard) but not Rogers and that she may want to find a job with a good company. Anyway, I resolve this tomorrow and be on to the other two Rogers disasters.
Next, I phoned the number in the ticket for the service I wanted to cancel. The guy I talked to wanted all kinds of information. He wanted me to get permission from an administrator to deal with him. I said I owned the company and what who was I suppose to ask. He got the picture and sent me a long list of legal things I need to provide before Rogers can deal with me to cancel. I have everything and will send this tomorrow. It will cost me a few hours but there is light at the end of the tunnel. As a backup, we logged on the account and removed the Visa so they can never debit my account again. I feel really good that I have 2 of the Rogers accounts almost out of my bank account. Took most of the day, patience, two cell phones and some ear buds.
Tomorrow, I will tackle the 3rd issue whereby the new operator has a new contract for internet from early April meanwhile they are billing me and the operator at the same time. I need to confirm this with an invoice from Rogers from the new operator. I do have a copy of his new contract. It will be interesting for sure. I think 1 more day and cost of another several hundred dollars I should be free of Rogers. This could be my week.
Once I wrap this 4 month journey of trying to get Rogers to act professionally toward their customers instead of digging into their bank account without any conscience I will post a wrap up of the challenges of dealing with Rogers and how to approach the challenge to get your business conflicts resoved. It will include more that just setting aside a lot of time and having a year with of patience.
Terrible customer support/service
Terrible customer support/service. Spent ALL day trying to get ahold of them. So far 12 hours in total trying to reach someone, between call failed, suddenly just disconnected and still haven’t spoken to a single person. So terribly frustrated! Hire some Canadians rogers, lots looking for jobs!!!!
Garbage company
They scam me for a 2 years account…
They scam me for a 2 years account cancelation, the sales man didn't tell me its a 2 years agreement..
Now they want me to pay cancelation fees.
Customer service is the worst 🤮🤮
Being charged for equipment I returned
A salesperson came to my door and convinced me to switch companies. I received all the devices and planned to install them myself. Very first thing I started with was the internet and right off the bat it wouldn't work and to get a tech there was going to take over a week. I had been told I could cancel within 30 days without penalty if I wasn't happy. So I did. I first did an online chat to cancel. I was told I had to call in. I called and the person told me I would be charged a cancellation fee as I only had 15 days from signup to cancel - I didn't even get the equipment to set up until 10 days after I signed up so I argued and said I was told 30 days. He said well that's wrong and I said I don't care, that's what I was told. They agreed to honor it. However, it seemed they couldn't find the equipment I had so began asking me for the serial numbers on the devices I had. This call was around the 2 hour mark so the guy said he was figure it out and call me back. He called me back, said everything was good and that he had sent me an email with the FedEx return label. I boxed everything up in the same box they had sent to me and drove 20 mins to a FedEx location to return it.
Fast forward to a month ago and I get a bill for $516 for unreturned equipment. I immediately went on chat and told them I returned it. At the time I wasn't home so didn't have the tracking number. A week later I went on chat again this time with the tracking number. I was told that 3 items had been returned but the rest hadn't. I said that's not possible given that they were all in the SAME BOX. She said that she would send a request to the inventory team and I would hear back.
Well, this morning I got a letter from a collections agency that my account has been sent to them for payment! So now they are screwing up my credit because of their incompetence! Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE A JOKE AND A SCAM!
Cost at checkout isn't what's charged
Monthly cost displayed at checkout during my online upgrade displayed that my plan was 0$. My first bill and all subsequent others, the price charged is 30$ish more than what was told to me at checkout. The Office of the President regurgitates the same copy paste reply explaining my charges while completely ignoring the fact that the website has a problem - as if I've never read a telecom bill before. Horrible service and months later I'm still being charged extra - and of course I'm locked in to a contract. Do not do online phone upgrades even if you know what you're doing because they take 0 responsibility for website issues and even management doesn't value you enough to read your communications to them. I'd rather not have 5G+ and all that if it means transparent pricing, management who values you, and a functional website.
Horrible Horrible place
Horrible Horrible place, Rodgers scamm his own costumers, we got scammed from. A employee, Rodgers admitted it was them but won't do nothing about it ( all employees from India who scam ever costumers at Rodgers
Absolutely the worst customer service…
Absolutely the worst customer service experience. I’m totally disappointed that Rogers is the only service provider and that the Monopoly this company has allows it to diminish the customer experience to garbage! I have had my equipment for two days and after not being able to reach CSR because of long wait times and then 1hr and 35 minutes on hold because of being unable to activate it to be told “you don’t have an account set up, and our back end doesn’t have a record of your equipment’s serial number”!
“We will call you in the next couple of days when we find the equipment in our system”.
So, I will be out of internet and cable for another two days, but my bill cycle started three days ago even though I don’t have a verified account. Why wasn’t the account set up when I ordered my service and why would I be sent equipment that isn’t in the system?
My cable box was confirmed expired
My cable box was confirmed expired (not working) by the Rogers staff when I could no longer receive a signal and no lights would come on the box. This was on a Thursday morning. The Rogers employee said that Sunday between 8 am and 12 pm would be the earliest date they could provide to come and replace the cable box. I stayed home and passed on plans to go to my son's cottage so that I would be home to have this resolved. Sunday morning at 8:15 am a Rogers technician called to say that he was sitting in my driveway but when I looked out there was no one there. Bottom line, he went to the wrong address! I said if you have the box just come to our house and replace it as we have had no tv since Thursday. He refused to do so as he had "no work order" for our address. He suggest that I call customer service. I did and the first time the woman said they were having maintenance issues and to call back in an hour. I requested that she call me back when the the issues at her end were resolved. I waited almost 2 hours and she never returned my call. I called again and the lady on the other end put me on hold and I was cut off. I called the 3rd time and the earliest date they could schedule is the following Wednesday. I already re-arranged Sunday and now have to stay home Wednesday. When I spoke to the man originally, he had my address as it is connected to my cell number and I repeated the address about 3 times in our conversation. They charge $75 if you are not there for your appointment and when I asked where my $75 would be as they weren't there for me, the girl laughed and said you have to be kidding. I hate Rogers. Now looking at other options.

Unbelievable the one of the biggest network providers is so garbage. Took almost an hour to cancel my wifi subscription when I should have been able to do that with a single click of a button. Pathetic company

Thank you Jamie for your scripted customer service response. Your non existing empathy and understanding made me appreciate the future AI. I'm sure robots will handle my concerns with better results.
Terrible service
Terrible service. When you get a number to call it is never available. Humans are unavailable
They give you a price over the phone…
They give you a price over the phone but when you get the invoice the price is completely different. Spent around 5 hours on the phone. They always say the previous agent did something wrong, we've escalated to supervisor multiple times. We ended up writing a complaint to CCTS. We now record all calls when calling Rogers or Fido
Very disappointing experience with Rogers
Very disappointing experience with Rogers/Shaw home internet. I had no internet since June 1, three technicians came, and the issue was still not resolved. When I asked to cancel my contract without a cancellation fee, as I had been told should be possible, the representative Angela was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional during the call on June 12 at approximately 1:27 PM.
A manager eventually cancelled the contract, but the whole experience was extremely frustrating. Customers should not be left without service and then treated disrespectfully when trying to resolve the situation.
Rogers WORST Mobile Company
Unable to connect with anyone at Rogers. No Live person pick up the line when calling 611 on your mobile . Message- visit rogers.com . Frustrating experience when engaged with Rogers. Customers are getting over charged with no assistance from CRTC. Not sure why GOVT in Canada is protecting Rogers from competition.
I left Fido well over a year ago
I left Fido well over a year ago, now I keep getting calls to come back, I told them I'm not interested, yet they keep calling. So annoying. they called each day this week, some days two times. What a stupid company, please, please go away!!!!
