Great service & product. Highly recommend ⭐️

I was really pleased with the service I received. I was a little worried about delivery times as I know that some companies have struggled over the last few months - but Roof Lantern Shop were able to finish the project just in time for the Christmas break. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼

I have been conned

I ordered a korniche roof lantern on the 7th November with a 3 week lead time.on early December I made enquiries on the progress.impossible to get past reception with promises of call back that never happen.
Have sent multiple emails and many phone calls with no response Further tentative enquiries suggest that I will not receive my rooflight seems like they have obtained my money by deception and I have a funny feeling there are many more than me.
Please take to social media to warn everyone!!!

AWFUL SERVICE taken money/no communication and no product

I have been trying to get an update on my Korniche Roof lantern for over 3 weeks now (Originally ordered beginning of November) on a 3 week lead time.
I have called them every day and am told that customer service cannot transfer me to order department or have any manager for me to speak to
I have been told 9 times that they will send an urgent message and get someone to call me back that day
And no one calls back
I have called today again to demand to speak to someone regarding this order, which is over due with no communication since payment on when it will arrive.
I have a whole programme of works waiting on this delivery and associated costs.
I am now lodging a full complaint with the financial ombudsman, contacting bank to make a fraud alert (taking money for a product not delivered) and taking to social media.
A simple phone call would suffice but nothing.
Awful service and no product has arrived

The customer service was awesome

The customer service was awesome. I just sent my quote, and they answered in 24 hours. A week later, they were with me to give me my new doors. The whole process was easy and quick.

Terrible company will not use again

Placed an order on the 24th May where we was told there was a 3 week lead time. We have now waited 6 weeks in total for our order and every time we phone we are continuously told someone will phone us back with an update and we never hear anything back. We've now had to cancel our order and request for a refund. Terrible customer service will not use this company again.

I have been trying to order a Korniche…

I have been trying to order a Korniche rooflight from this company for nearly a week, but they do not respond to emails phone calls, voicemail or online chats. It is extremely frustrating not being able to place an order or get a response.
I am now very concerned about the ongoing customer service if they are so cavalier about even taking the initial order.
It has the appearance of a business being run on a shoestring with few staff working from home perhaps.
Having just read previous reviews which are quite damning I feel it is probably advisable to seek an alternative supplier

Thanks for your review. You first contacted us yesterday, and we feel this review is based partly on other reviews you have read of situations that are ongoing and being dealt with.

I know you have recieved a response via online chat as it was myself that responded to you, and also via email. You haven't ordered from us and so I feel a 1 star review may be a little misrepresented. We are having issues with staff due to covid isolations unfortunately and we are extremely busy because of our brilliant product and prices. Sorry you haven't been gotten back to as quickly as you would like.

Horrendous customer service!!!!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING! Since my roof lantern has been delivered all parts of the glass were damaged due to no protective film on them. I have been on the phone to them most days since then which was approx 3 weeks ago to try and get replacement glass sent out. I keep getting told someone in the sales team will ring back ASAP but no one rings back! I contacted them 5 times in one day and still no call back! My roof lantern is due to be fitted on Monday and I still have no replacement glass! Now I am having to pay the builders a days pay as the roof lantern Shop have still not contacted me to even tell me it won’t be here before Monday! Absolutely horrendous customer service! They are always happy to help when it’s taking you money but after then do not want anything to do with you!
I wouldn’t even give you a 1 star.

Thanks for the reply. Both me and my partner have checked and there definitely is no email from 10am this morning.(I have even checked the junk so I don’t know if you sent this to a different email). I have sent another email regarding the parts of the glass which need replacing. Please could you check it and call me to confirm as 4 parts need replacing now as the part that got delivered today is also damaged as shown in email I have sent today). Thanks

Update - 10th jan
I have tried to call numerous times today but just stuck on hold. I replied to email with photos of the stickers but then you replied saying I had not replied? I replied again but had no reply. I am still waiting for someone to call me back after leaving a voicemail as well. Can someone call me urgently as I have now had to book the builders in for Monday after already having to pay them a wage for Monday gone where they could not do anything due to no glass.

Update 11th jan -
Called numerous times again. Got stuck on hold for most the times. My partner got through and told them we needed a call from the manager asap so they said they would put it through as urgent at approx 11.30am. Still no phone call. Called back 3pm - told the girl the situation again. She put it through as urgent …. Still waiting for the phone call back. Got an email saying out glass will be delivered Friday. So I replied will this be all parts? And said again to call me as emails are getting me no where. You replied no only some parts will be coming Friday. So I still have not been informed when the second date is for the glass. Still waiting for all phone calls!!!! You also told me you called me numerous times but you did not as I have no missed calls other than the one time you tried to call me on Friday but I was at work and missed the call….. I will await your call from the manager? …

Update 12th jan -
Called again in the morning since I still had no call back… told again someone would call me back. No call back all day…. Had to call the glass company myself to try and find out what is happening with the glass. Got more sense our of the glass company and we’re much more helpful in the 5 mins I spoke to them than the rooflantern shop have been in 4 weeks since it first got delivered. The glass company even said that they would try and contact the roof lantern shop to tell them to get in contact with me. Still did not get any contact from the lantern shop today.

Thanks for taking the time to write an honest review of your experience, and I am sorry you have had a bad experience.
I can assure you that as soon as you reported that your glass was damaged on 23rd December, we reported this back to the manufacturer. Unfortunately it was then the Christmas shutdown, and as explained to you, we were waiting for them to reopen before we could provide you with a date for your replacement glazing. I also noticed you were calling out of hours and on some occasions late on the Christmas bank holidays, I do apologise but this is out of our working hours and so you wont have recieved immediate replies.
My email at 10am this morning has given you the date the replacement glazing will be with you, I also followed this up with a voicemail as I didnt get an answer on your mobile number.
Thanks for your repeated updates on your review, just to reiterate as per our emails and voicemails, your replacement glass is going to be arriving on the dates you have been given to conclude the matter, although we are also still awaiting a reply to our email with the updated pictures of the damage to the glass panel as requested repeatedly. The glass company got in touch with us to tell us that you had called them also, but you had been given dates for your replacement glass at this point and they could only reiterate the information we had already told you.

I hope this reassures you that we certainly take customer service very seriously, apologies Christmas and New Year did hinder our ability to get back to you so quickly.

Roof Lantern

Our Korniche roof lantern needs 4 panels of glass. We're now on our 3rd replacement piece due to faulty manufacturing.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place as we needed the lantern and couldn't wait another 10 weeks to go with another supplier so had to just work with Roof Lantern Shop as best we could.

To their credit, they did keep ordering replacements without argument however they don't seem to care about customer service on the whole. Rang twice to try and escalate, told I'd get a call back as a priority but never happened.

Delivery isn't overly quick, delayed the project by over 3 weeks as kept needing to wait another week for another piece of glass.

We're now currently in a battle as to what to do with the faulty panels we have left behind (still awaiting a solution).

They're just a middle man in the process who are clearly trying to keep their overheads down. If you strike it lucky and don't have an issue with the delivery on your first attempt then may be worth a shot. If not, prepare to have to constantly chase and feel regularly frustrated and let down..

Update:
We requested a third call back over a week ago now, again unfortunately this has not taken place. It has been three weeks since we escalated the issue regarding the faulty panels in need of collection. Happy to take our money, just not the damaged goods they deliver. If we had to do it again we'd avoid this company, we'd advise you do too.

With regard to Roof Lantern Shop's reply below, unfortunately this is not factual. I never had a missed call. The glass took a week to arrive each time (as they could reportedly only deliver on a Thursday) and the refund amounted to 5% (partially in vouchers). That was after chasing for weeks and getting nowhere.

The glass needing to be replaced three times is a fact, but perhaps tells you all you need to know.

I would recommend a Korniche roof lantern as it's stunning, just consider ordering from elsewhere.

Hi Chris, thanks for the honest review regarding your experience. When you were calling to escalate, we did try to call you back, we are sorry you never recieved this call but we were in constant communication with you, hence we knew about the damage to the glass. There was not much in the way of escalating we could do - your replacement glazing had been ordered and I believe we provided replacement glazing to you within a couple of days, 3 times. The glass courier Korniche use unfortunately only deliver to your area on a Thursday and so whichever supplier you use this would be the case. On the third time I know you wanted us to take away the damaged glazing but unfortunately we do not have that capacity. We do take customer service very seriously and I hope partial refund went some way to compensate the couriers mishaps, as they are a third party company we do try our best to minimise disruption but unfortunately at times this is out of our hands.
Korniche use their own glass couriers so again, whichever company you order from your glass would be delivered in the same way and this is something we do our best to adapt to, hence offering you a refund and vouchers for something that was out of our control.

Again, apologies your experience was anything less than excellent and thanks again for ordering with the Roof Lantern Shop.

We are so thrilled with this company

We are so thrilled with this company, from the office assistants to the product itself! Really easy to put together and it looks FANTASTIC! I can highly recommend this product and this company - good old fashioned service from a 'belt & braces' company!!

Would avoid

Unfortunately I have had an extremely poor experience with Roof Lantern Shop with many issues with product and service.
Delivery service was a nightmare, delayed multiple times without even advising us so we were given a date and waited in all day for nothing to arrive. Not much in the way of apology and when we finally received our full delivery about 2 weeks later there were multiple missing parts resulting in us losing a day's wage for the builders.
When I tried to contact them multiple times I have had no response and have been chasing constantly for a call back. No one seems to care in the slightest that we are having issues.
Bifolds were also delivered with little protection and have subsequent scratches during fitting.
Even though the prices are reasonable I would rather have paid slightly more money for better service and overall experience from a different company. Really disappointed and not what you hope for when paying thousands of pounds.

Sorry your experience has been less than the excellent customer service we strive for. I know the building trade in general is going through unprecedented times of shortage, and I know each delay was communicated with you immediately and efficiently, but I also know this doesnt help when you are on a tight timescale with a building project. The bifold protection would have been removed prior to fitting regardless of how it was delivered, so if your builders damaged the product whilst fitting I would urge you to ask them for a solution, please let us know if we can help in anyway.

roof lantern

I had never fitted a roof lantern before but the help and advice from rooflanternshop was brilliant. I had an issue with delivery turning up a day late but that was down to the courier who had staffing problems due to covid, not rooflanternshop, who chased up the problem for me. Whilst checking the components on delivery I had found that one of the bolts was faulty so contacted rooflanternshop who got onto the manufacturer and the very next day had a replacement through the post I am very pleased with my roof lantern and I am hoping to fit another next year along with some bi fold doors I will definitely be going back to rooflanternshop for those Thank you again Rooflanternshop
