I had a great experience with the RouteNote support team, specifically with Rowan and Olivia. They were very professional, highly responsive, and helped me resolve my issues with Spotify distribution and YouTube OAC upgrade. I really appreciate their dedication and hard work. Truly a reliable service for artists.

Well, Routenote is good for new artists, especially independent artists who don't have much recognition.
You can release unlimited releases, and they can help you request OAC on YouTube, claim a Spotify Artist Account, distribute to 150+ digital stores with free YouTube Content ID, and the most important part is that they are the only free distributor that provides that. You can edit metadata easily, and the typing process has been simplified, making it faster to type the metadata.
However, due to its free service, the delay on your releases is unavoidable; it usually takes 30 days or more to get your new release to update its status, and it takes a week or more for the support team to reply. Moreover, providing to YouTube Music sometimes failed.
In conclusion, Routenote is still good for new independent artists who don't have money; they have been serving free distribution for 19 years and can still stand firm in 2026. Honestly, don't talk about the delay with the releases. I respect Routenote and their team very much.

The worst company you could possibly encounter. If you want to bury your music and waste your time—this is the place for you. Total incompetence and a complete lack of regard for artists.
My release is stuck in limbo, support is non-existent, and there is zero feedback. Technically, there is a way to contact them, but it seems like the only thing they are capable of doing in their UK office is picking their noses. They simply ignore your work, ruining all your plans and promotion strategies. If you value your work, stay away and find a reliable distributor. I have decided to move my entire catalog to DistroKid, where professionalism actually exists. Absolutely disgusting.

May 8: I have officially submitted my User ID (5010103) through your verification form as requested. Stop using these public replies as a marketing tool to look "helpful." My ticket has been ignored for weeks. As a software engineer with 20 years of experience and a SEO specialist, I see right through these stalling tactics. I am not looking for "further assistance" or apologies — I demand the immediate deletion of my account and the release of my UPCs. Every day of your delay is being documented across all major review platforms.

"My final conclusion is clear: there is absolutely no point in working with RouteNote, especially for newcomers. Your support is a black hole, and you hide behind 'queues' instead of fixing your broken service.
I’ve made my decision — I’m moving my entire catalog to professional distributors that actually respect artists, such as:
DistroKid (distrokid.com)
TuneCore (tunecore.com)
UnitedMasters (unitedmasters.com)
Furthermore, I reserve the right to share my negative experience and post detailed reviews of your incompetence on all major music industry forums, social media platforms (Reddit, Quora), and review sites. People need to know the truth before they waste their time and career with you.
I’m done wasting my time on your excuses. Goodbye."

Great platform for independent artists
I’ve released many songs through RouteNote over the years and I’m still continuing to use their service. Overall, my experience has been very positive. The platform makes music distribution simple and accessible for independent artists, especially for getting songs on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and other major streaming platforms.
What I appreciate most is that they give independent musicians an opportunity to distribute music globally without huge upfront costs. Their dashboard is easy to use, and uploads are straightforward. I’ve successfully released multiple tracks with them, and the process has been reliable for my music career.
Customer support can sometimes take time depending on workload, but they usually provide solutions and keep improving the service. For independent artists looking for an affordable distribution platform, RouteNote is definitely worth trying.

Five stars for RouteNote. Natalie walked me through the requirements for my OAC step by step, including technical details about browser display. Her personal and efficient support really makes a difference in the independent industry.

Long reviews, never checked properly in the app, in order to see if you have been rejected you have to personally email support. Waste of time and money never use it.

I went back to making music and I still use RouteNote after 3 years have passed, this is one of the best if not THE BEST free music distributor (as I never used other one). People complain about customer service, but at my experience it has been really good and they reply as quick as they can, I hear complains about release waiting time but I don't think that's an issue, especially considering this service IS FREE.
I absolutely recommend it. The best free distributor at my point of view.
