Wouldn’t recommend

We had a kitchen installed in July 2025. Throughout the kitchen project, there were several issues which caused delays and added stress, and some errors meant we had to change our original plans. Five months later, a leak developed. We notified the company on 16/12/25.

Appointments were arranged for 22/12/25 and 24/12/25, however no one attended on either date. A short-notice time slot was then offered on Christmas Eve, which we could not accommodate due to a specialist hospital appointment for our young child.

Following this, we were informed they would not be attending and that they believed the issue was unrelated to their installation, despite not having inspected the leak.

We arranged for an independent contractor to repair the issue. We were advised that the cause was linked to the original installation.

We were particularly disappointed by the missed appointments, the lack of inspection before conclusions were made, and the overall handling of the situation. This was a stressful experience, especially over the Christmas period, and the aftercare did not meet our expectations.

They requested payment before the kitchen was finished and we didn’t even have a kitchen tap at the time. We also identified an invoicing discrepancy which was corrected after being raised.

We recommended the company to our in-laws, who experienced issues with measuring during their bedroom project, which left a gap in their carpet.

We also noted that the company is no longer listed as a member of KBSA.

Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company.

We feel really disappointed

We feel really disappointed and let down by Rowley Dunleavy. At every stage in the process, we feel that they over promised and under delivered. They promised to liaise closely with our site manager, they didn’t contact him once. They moved forward the date of our second payment and then threatened to charge us interest if we didn’t pay. They let us know on the Friday evening that they wouldn’t be starting when we arranged on the following Monday, and started 10 days late. They promised 2 kitchen fitters, we got one, who kept on leaving our site to do other work. They asked us to pay the final amount before the job was complete and once again threatened us with charging interest if we didn’t pay. Finally, when a handle broke and came off a cupboard, 2 months after completion, it took them 3 MONTHS to finally send us another handle (didn’t offer to come and do the work themselves), but they sent the handle in a flimsy large letter envelope with no padding and needless to say the envelope broke open and the handle was lost. They were the cheapest and we wish we had spent a bit more money and got a better service. The company caused us so much stress and aggravation.
