Hi Keith,
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused. After investigating with our transport team, it appears there was a slight miscommunication on our part. The delivery was not actually attempted at 6:05 a.m. The driver was unable to locate the order on his vehicle before starting his route, and marking the delivery as “attempted” automatically alerts our transport team to arrange for a re-delivery at a later time.
I can confirm that the order was successfully delivered on the 27th at 8:26 a.m.
Once again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your understanding. Many thanks, Mark.

ROXOR GROUP - dodgy goods

I bought an expensive vanity unit from a retailer who sourced the item from Roxor Group. It was easy to assemble (despite there being no assembly instructions). Two years later, one of the doors split away from its seam. I approached the retailer who advised that it was well within warranty and that the manufacturer would be happy to sort the issue out. Having contacted Roxor, they advised that the unit was not waterproof and the damage was caused because the water collected on the top lip of the door. So, why sell a vanity unit that is unfit for purpose? They had the brass neck to send me an instruction leaflet with maintenance instructions! A tad late, I said. The company concerned has just replied to this post by advising me that they have asked the supplier (Beyond Retail) to provide me with a replacement. As a matter of fact, the supplier offered me a replacement before I posted here. The item arrived a few days ago, so all good. The important point here for the manufacturer is.... why not accept that there may have been a one-off build issue there, and make it right for the customer. More often than not, customers like me will be thankful, and are most likely to come back for more purchases. I rarely complain about a failure, but this one did vex me somewhat. I hope the manufacturer has taken some learnings from this instance. If there is one thing to learn from my experience with Beyond Retail, it is about not doing the Pontius Pilot, but taking ownership, dealing with the issue fairly and equitably, and moving forward.... IMHO.

Roxor group under the subsidiary of…

Roxor group under the subsidiary of Ultra finishing Ltd. Purchased a shower tray in April 2023. The tray has a small chip on the base. They refuse to compensate putting blame on the tray legs. The tray legs have nothing to do with poor quality at expensive prices. The company wanted me to strip the shower tray down and send pics of the legs. They are selling poor quality items and their customer services is appalling . Avoid this company or beware you could be next to complain about poor quality items. I will add further the tray is of poor quality because it has been sitting on legs since April 2023. The plastic on top is thinner than paint. It was expensive and roxor at every corner have made it impossible to deal with unless I pay more money on plumbers

Thank you for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the product and the customer service you’ve received regarding your inquiry.

After reviewing your emails, I respectfully disagree with some of the points raised. In order for us to investigate this issue further, it’s crucial that we have all necessary information. Based on the images you've provided, we can see that the tray is raised off the floor. We’ve requested additional images of the underside of the tray (you do not need to remove the tray to do this) to ensure the installation complies with the manufacturer’s instructions.

If this were a manufacturing defect, it’s likely the issue would have been apparent before or shortly after the tray was installed, rather than 21 months later.

Once we receive the requested images, we will be able to investigate the matter more thoroughly. If we determine that the tray has been installed correctly and that it is indeed a fault with the product, we will be happy to replace it.

Please reply to the original email with the images at your earliest convenience, and one of our team members will get back to you as soon as possible.

USE A REPUTABLE FIRM THAT PUTS CUSTOMERS AT THE HEART OF THEIR BUSINESS!

Do not buy from this firm, their products are not fit for purpose and they do not fulfill their manufacturing warranty. They simply evade their warranty responsibilites!

I bought a radiator 4 years ago and it started to rust approximately 2 years after purchasing it, however the enamal has recently started to chip away so we looked into replacing it. We approached the manufacturer directly, they informed me because we didn't contact them as soon as the radiator started to rust, they will not replace it. The fact remains they've sold an item not fit for purpose and it remains under warranty and they still won't replace it.

The fact it has started to rust constitutes this is a manufacturer defect, because it shouldn’t have deteriorated so soon! Yet you continue to evade your warranty responsibilities!

Products not fit for purpose

I bought a basin cupboard from Drench. The handles on it were just painted chrome, not solid metal. In 2 years they’ve peeled and gone rusty. They aren’t suitable for a bathroom environment. When I complained, Drench said I had to go direct to the supplier which is this company.

This company won’t replace the handles and I can’t buy replacements from them either. They arent standard sizes so I’m screwed really. I can’t drill more holes because they will show.

Avoid this company and Drench who get their products from them.

It’s outrageous that their products go rusty and aren’t fit for purpose.

I’m sure people would pay more for decent products. After all handles don’t cost much.

Guarantee means nothing to them

We bought a Milan hinged bathroom glass screen through Victorian Plumbing with 5 years guarantee.
Within 2 years a plastic bit on the hinge got broken.

Via communication through Victorian Plumbing, Ultra Finishing refused to provide a spare part (even at a charge) and the last response was that we need to buy a complete new screen.
If Guarantee means anything to you, then I suggest you avoid Ultra Finishing or anything from Roxor Group (as they are now called)

Quality bathrooms

We are dealing with ultra finishing for few years now. They are not only reliable but also their bathrooms are great quality and in really good prices. Communication with the office is always great. Girls on the phone are always polite and very helpful. Deliveries always come very fast which is a big plus. I just want to say a massive thank you to John Wilkinson who is always there to help with all the questions and who is always willing to go extra mile to keep us happy and satisfied.
Great company and lovely people.
I would really recommend them to anyone.

I had purchased a Monza

I had purchased a Monza, 2 Drawer, wall hung, bathroom Vanity Unit a couple of years ago. The drawer runners on the bottom drawer were starting to 'play up' a bit.
I telephoned Ultra Finishing Ltd and explained to their operative, Debra who not only was polite and cheerful but checked for stock, located the drawer runners and then had them shipped out to me by courier super quick.
Debra was superb and a real asset to the company. If only all employees were as efficient as her, the world would be a better place.
Thank you Debra for your excellent, quick response and really helpful can-do attitude.
The new drawer runners are fitted now and all working like new!
Keep up the great work.

Avoid roxor group taps

Purchased a tap through roxor group. The tap is low use and started leaking within 18 months of installation. Company policy is that the guarantee for this fault is for 12 months and will not replace/repair the tap. I'd think carefully about buying anything especially taps from this company or expect issues with the item fairly quickly. I suspect given the low use of the tap that it may have been faulty or just not fit for purpose. Correspondence between the company was polite but unwavering in their reluctance to come good. Won't buy another item from them and would advise others to avoid at all costs.

Worthless Warranty

Worthless Warranty. Vanity unit has split after less than six months use. Actually purchased Aug 2018 from agent of Ultra Finishing , Ergonomic designs in Northampton, but builder schedule meant Kitchen / extension was done before bathroom causing delay to July 2019 before fitting. 5 Year warranty. Response is because it may have got wet in a bathroom so out of guarantee. Nothing we can do. Tried to be reasonable with them willing to accept a drawer front and replace myself. This is not the end of this.
If you are thinking of purchasing Hudson Reed Products just remember 5 year warranty actually means 5 mins if you are going to put a bathroom vanity unit in a bathroom or have steam close to it. Unfortunately for Ergonomic designs legal action is being taken against them due to contract law.
