We had another terrific time in early February 2020 despite the weather being a lot wetter than we had imagined for the time of year. The fact that we had some superb sightings is very much down to the expertise of the guides employed by Royal Private Safaris. The Lodge was excellent and provided exactly what we expected, comfortable & fantastic food!! Many thanks to Isaac and Sarah for yet again putting together an excellent trip in the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

I visited Kenya between 21 Feb 2020 and 29 Feb 2020
The whole trip was very enjoyable, with some excellent wildlife sightings, good accommodation and delicious food.
It met all our hopes and expectations for going out on foot, driving after dark and generally being flexible with the activities on offer.
As Oliver Twist might say, please can we do it some more?

I have gone on safari with Royal Private Safaris several times. Isaac and his driver are knowledgeable about the animals, and know the best locations to spot those which are rarer, such as leopards. Isaac is able to tailor the safari to your needs in terms of type of lodging, cost, and number of guests. I have always been very pleased with both the tented camps and the more luxurious facilities I have stayed at. An extra with this company is Isaac's knowledge about Kenya as a whole, as I am interested in more than the wildlife of the country. Most impressive to me is the involvement of this company with a school in an urban slum. There is even an opportunity to visit the school, and school supplies are always welcomed. So, animals/the big five/cultural information about Kenya/giving back to the country, Royal Private Safaris offers it all.

I highly recommend Royal Private Safaris to anybody trying to get the best out of their Kenya trip. I visited Kenya in 2013 with my family, including my mother and aunt who both lived there when they were little kids. Isaac and the crew were extremely knowledgeable and caring guides who took pains to accommodate all of our requests and needs on the trip, including to visit my mother and aunt's old stomping grounds. When unforseen circumstances complicated one aspect of the tour preventing us from making it to our scheduled lodgings, they were able to rearrange the itinerary on the fly, finding us new a new place to stay that was even more pleasant than our original destination. We never felt uncomfortable in any setting, and even didn't feel overly like tourists. Their deep knowledge of local customs, languages, and the environment was an unexpected boon to the trip in every way, and their philanthropic work with children and local schools made them stand out as a business. Perhaps the best highlights of the trip were scheduled stops at two children's schools where we were able to directly distribute much needed school supplies to the kids that needed them. It was our privilege to be able to be guided by RPS, and I cannot recommend them enough. You simply will not have as good of experience with any other company as you will with them. 11/10. I hope to visit the country again and will look nowhere else for a great guide company.

Isaac took me to the giraffe centre and Took really great care of me! I got to pet the giraffe and feed them as well!
