Nick has been extremely helpful with me a progressing through my driving experience. He has been very patient with my learning and always accommodates to my needs when necessary🙂

I had some refresher lessons with Nick having not driven for nearly 10 years and now feel confident to drive again!
He is a patient teacher who listened to my needs and tailored the lessons to what I required.
The lessons have boosted my confidence massively and Nick is full of practical tips that I will remember!
Thoroughly recommend Nick and his fancy electric car.

I was one of Nicks first learners from when he went independant and set up 'RPS driven school of motoring'. Having just passed my test i wanted to leave a review and a reccomendation to use Nicks teaching professionality to learn to drive automatic. He always made me feel comfortable and i never felt rushed in my lessons. He always comminicatwd with me clearly and there was never any doubt about when i was having a lesson, when he was arriving to pick me up, or any additional lesson slots avaliable. Would reccomend to anyone looking to learn automatic, Nick is very knowledgable in the world of teaching, electric vehicles and just about everything else regarding motors!

Older learner here, just passed my test. Nick is a great instructor, very patient and explains the 'why' not just the 'how'. When I've struggled he's come up with a couple of options to try and we stick with what works best. Extra points for quality chat and an awesome singing voice!

Absolutely fantastic.
Once I passed my theory test I started to search for driving instructor but everyone were refusing as I have disability and I almost lost hope to find any. I didn't know what to do. Nick organized assessment for me with disability driving instructor to check if I am able to drive in regular car. He attended this assessment. Everything was agreed, I was able to drive with Nick. He even practiced adviced driving technique by himself to provide the best service. Help, understanding, support, patience and amazing knowledge it's about him. I'm very pleased and would highly reccomend.

Amazing instructor, Nick is very patient as I’m a nervous driver- he reassures and works at your own pace. Iv had instructors in the past however feel like Iv benefited so much more with Nick! Every lesson I feel such at ease and finish every lesson knowing it was helpful and ready for the next

I passed my driving test with Nick. I was very nervous to restart driving lessons after a few failed attempts of lessons with other instructors.
Nick put me at ease from the first phone call we had. He was very encouraging!
I would recommend Nick as a driving instructor.

I had to stop driving for a while due to my health conditions. When the time came to start driving again, I was on the look for a driving instructor for a long time. When I met Nick (in the Starbucks drive thru as he ordered his very regular drink) we instantly clicked and I knew he was going to be great! We booked in for my first lesson again and he was so calming and reassuring that things will be done be effectively but at my own pace. Although that lesson there was snow and ice on the roads Nick helped me feel confident enough to drive and we had a great first lesson and they’ve all been brill ever since.

Not only are the lessons amazing at learning to drive you have a laugh along the way as he’s quite the sarcastic joker and big coffee lover! I wouldn’t have one bad thing to say about Nick and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Nick is the second instructor I have had and I am so glad he was recommended to me! My previous instructor made me nervous and dread my lessons, whereas with Nick I actually look forward to them! He puts me at ease and explains things to me in ways I can actually understand. He also has a Facebook group and blog where he posts lots of useful info. So happy to have to my lessons with Nick and looking forward to more!

Nick is a fantastic driving instructor, he’s turned me from a nervous, overly cautious learner to a mildly competent (most of the time) driver. Not only is he great teacher but makes me feel at ease on a personal level, helping me move on from an incident during the lesson. Nick knows how I take things in and learn, with that I hope we can pass together

Nick is a really understanding and patient instructor. He has helped me overcome my driving anxiety and ensured that all my concerns were addressed in each and every lesson. He has helped build my confidence and enabled me to become a confident driver.

Nick was an encouraging & calm instructor.

I had him for two mock test lessons before my test, and another test the day of my test.

All times, he was encouraging, gave constructive criticism & was also quite fun to be in the car with.

I passed with Nick Smith (Electric Automatic in Sheffield) and I can honestly say he is AMAZING!
As an adult with PTSD feeling safe is something very difficult for me and Nick was able to create a space in which I did. He covered the standards that were expected of me as a learner driver as well the wider skills of driving in the 21st century such as being able to use cruise control, voice controls and the subtleties of driving an electric car!
Nick made learning to drive a wonderfully positive experience!

I have been driving for 23 years, but always petrol engine. I was renting an electric automatic for a holiday abroad for 3 weeks and was looking for an hour's lesson before going to help adjust.

What I got from Nick was everything I wanted and a hell of a lot more. Professional, friendly, and hugely knowledgeable, Nick was a perfect instructor who explained everything in clear detail, sharing lots of little tips and extras, so I came away not just completely comfortable driving electric automatic, but also with a tonne of understanding about the mechanics and the finer details to get the best out of it. Genuinely considering replacing my petrol car as soon as I can, too.

I passed my test with Nick while he was training as an instructor, and he has only improved as a teacher since then.
Having failed my first test with a different instructor, (who had left me with some bad habits as well as nerves) Nick was great at patiently working with me to correct the issues (including realising I'd not been taught how to hill start without an assist previously) and is keen to share his vast wealth of knowledge as a professional driver of many years.

We then put in for test, which I passed, and I then took some motorway lessons/confidence building sessions with him. These have really helped me, and as a result, I feel confident driving both long and short distances, and in the case of breakdown or issues knowing what to do (to the point that i've done over 500mile round trips as well as get my car both home and to the mechanic with a failing clutch)

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nick, who I know has since also trained as a test nerves specialist, and is also willing to take on customers with additional needs, and work with them to achieve their goals(I am one of them - having a long term knee problem).
He has a good teaching style, and also won't beat around the bush - something I appreciate.

I’ve put off learning to drive my entire adult life (and I’m now 33!) so to say I was anxious is an understatement. I didn’t really want to learn to drive but work/being a Mum meant I had to.
From lesson 1 Nick completely put me at ease and has built my confidence up massively. Nick is incredibly patient, understanding and will go above and beyond to tailor learning to your needs (very good at drawing a roundabout diagram!)
I really enjoyed my lessons with Nick, he’s got a great sense of humour and most importantly I felt very safe when learning.
I’ve finally passed my test and would massively recommend Nick to anyone anxious about learning and looking for a reliable, friendly and patient instructor.
