5/16/25

5/16/25. Just got a strange sales call from our own phone number using the unique business nomenclature I invented for our contact list. (Red Flag). They "spoof-called" us with our number. We investigated and found this site, which helped us learn how much of a scam this is. The sales consultant's name was Parker (Parth Singh). Thank you for this site!

RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!

This entire business is a disgraceful sham. Outside of their primary metropolitan area, they hire dishonest sales persons (Christopher Mitchem) and make promises they know they can't keep. My experience cost me time, money and customers as I could have taken my $4K investment elsewhere. My receipts were not printed as promised, my services were not well advertised and when I asked for some sort of fix they decided to stop responding to me. I hate that I was able to be lied to by these people. They make no effort to right their wrongs and essentially have no oversight.

Nice try. Also she has some anger issues and don’t know how to speak with customers.

Register Tape Network/shopper local scam

Register Tape Network, shopperlocal SCAM.
Multiple names for the same company Linked to some north Carolina address, in fact is some India based company. They don't seem legit at all; when calling the stores have never heard of them; don't sign any agreement don't give any credit card or misinformation to them.

I was told that I can expect to receive…

I was told that I can expect to receive about 5-10 customers per day from their sales representative at our store Eden Life Market from their register tape advertisement. Up to this point, we have gotten zero sales, not one person came into our business, from the Advertisements.

I tried calling the regional manager, to discuss the cancellation of the Register Tape Advertisements February 26th, March 6th, March 13th, and March 19th. I kept going to voicemail so I decided to write her an email on March 12th, 2019, to cancel the service. She told me that she would have called me the next day. She did not call the next day, so I sent another email. I did not receive a response to that email neither received a call from her until TODAY, one month later.

I also called Customer service March 19th and Spoke to a customer service representative about canceling the service after getting their customer service number from a bad review on Facebook. I explained to her what happened and that I wanted to cancel the Advertisement, and she told me, which was a surprise to me, that I signed a ONE year contract that CANNOT be canceled. I was never informed by the Sales Representative about signing a "non-cancelable contract", and that we were set up for auto renewal for that contract every year. That is misrepresentation and fraud. I was rushed to sign the contract at our store. So I was told by the customer service rep to write an email to cancel my service.

Finally, after a week, I spoke to the manager of Register Tape Network, a Subsidiary of Shopper Local, today. He informed me that I signed up for four cycles, one cycle has passed, and the second cycle had already been printed and that he is only able to cancel the remaining six cycles. I have been trying to call for one month, and the regional manager never answered my calls, nor responded to my latest emails. And the reason why I have been trying to call her was to cancel the order before the next cycle was printed.

I believe that she purposely didn't answer my calls so that I would have to be stuck with paying money for another three months of something that is not working for us. I felt cheated. I cannot recommend this company. From the moment they weren't answering my calls, I knew something was up. I will be seeking legal advice about this matter.
