Don't buy a compound bow from an online retailer
Purchased a compound bow for a birthday gift on 8-29. Bow season starts 10-1, the local retailers were out of stock and the chain stores in the city had bait and switch advertising. Rustic Sportsman is an online retailer and I was impressed with their inventory prices and speedy delivery.
Gave this as a gift on 9-7 and after twelve days of target practice, on 9-19, the string came off the cams. A local outfitter wanted $120 to restring the bow. I then contacted the retailer and they told us that they consider that "wear and tear" and to file a warranty claim with the maker.
Don't buy a compound bow from an online retailer.
The retailer could have sent a return shipping label and a replacement bow. They offered 25% off coupon on a future purchase 😆.
I would by from a retailer who stands behind the stuff they sell. I won't return to this retailer.
