Safecastle Order

I found Safecastle easy to use in search of products I was looking to buy and found their customer service very helpful, and shipment was delivered on time with no issues.

4 out of 6 Keystone chicken 28oz cans were dented and beat up. I am concerned about buying by the case. I think they are just off loading damaged cans to online buyers

Jackie we take our business very seriously and our customer feedback even more seriously. We always store and sell fresh product direct from manufacturer and take extreme care while shipping. There are multiple warehouses that ship our product and multiple shipping services that are used. We do our best to manage shipping and carrier but handling those shipment is something out of our control. Please reach out to support@safecastle.com and we will set this right.

***BUYER BEWARE!***Should have looked at the reviews! I received only part of my order, specifically the canned turkey, with no information on the dried bananas or blackberries. This lack of communication is unacceptable. I have asked them to cancel the dried fruit order and refund my money, including my membership fee. I am not expecting a response. I won't be ordering again.***BUYER BEWARE!***

I ordered some PRI-G gas treatment from…

I ordered some PRI-G gas treatment from Safe Castle. They sent me PRI-D diesel treatment instead (an honest mistake). I contacted them and let them know (they responded to my email in a very timely manner) and shipped out the right product to me right away providing me with a tracking number .

Unfortunately I never received my product (even after it was out for delivery according to the tracking company). I let Safe Castle know once again that I didn't get my order and Kay went right to work for me trying to find out about it. She always answered the phone in person when I called to inquire about my order and responded to my emails promptly. She had to try and file a claim against the carrier but it was denied (definitely no fault of hers). She refunded all my money to me the same day.

Bottom line is it was a pleasure doing business with Safe Castle even though I never received my order. Kay is a woman of her word and full of integrity!!! These are people you WANT to do business with, give them a try and you won't be disappointed!

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE! We bought 3 cases of rations from them but only one was delivered. I called and they said they would follow up but never heard from them again even after trying to follow up. Don't try saving a few bucks with this company. Not legit!

Damaged cans Red Feather Butter not made right!

A case of 24 cans of Red Feather Butter was recently ordered for my long term emergency supply.
They arrived in a timely manner but 12 of the cans were damaged. A couple had severe pointed dents into the rims, most had dents just under the rims pulling the can's sides away from the seals.

I checked with a couple of extension officers and a local master canner ( who came to my home and looked at the cans), all 3 concurred that the cans were damaged and not trustworthy, much less for long term storage.

I was offered $70 reimbursement for the 12 damaged cans. Safecastle charges more than that for 6 cans, plus my yearly membership.

As I have no refrigeration nor freezer space in which to now store these damaged cans, I rejected this refund suggesting that they might at least replace 6 cans.

Also that I would share (advertise) the damaged cans with my prepper group who have never heard of Safecastle nor Red Feather Butter. And that I would consider reordering an additional 6 cans in the future, IF the replacement cans could arrive undamaged.

By the way, I have opened a can and the butter is very good and indeed creamy!!

I told Safecastle that I realized that the damage was not their fault, but that it was not mine either. I also told them that It's my observation that Red Feather did not package these cans for shipment and suggested that future cans have a thin piece of cardboard between the cans, similar to beverage cans

I was simply told that my $70 refund was on the way.
I cancelled my yearly membership. I've heard nothing more.

That's the sum of it. I'm very disappointed!!
My suggestion, DO NOT order a quantity of this product, nor any other heavy product from Safecastle.
It's not the first damaged product I have received from them, but they have usually made it reasonably good.

Last Note: It was my understanding that the butter was good for some time (and I know that it would normally be so) but the Use Buy date is 01/11/25, less that 1 year from my order date. I asked about this and received no response.
