The company was efficient and had excellent customer relations. We had a problem that initially was not handled well leaving us without an engine. They could have been more helpful in the beginning as we were left to sail back to the base against a head wind taking more than twelve hours. We were met at the entrance to Palm Cay and towed in to a berth. The following day I discussed this with the base manager and she apologised and subsequently offered compensation without any hesitation.

Guadeloupe Charter
We were looking for a sailboat in Guadeloupe to revisit the island with some friends. This is off the beaten track for most UK charter companies so we asked Sailchecker to find us a suitable boat. This they did at a very competitive price and we had a great trip. We have never used a yacthbroker before but found the process exceedingly straightforward. Kate and Lesley were a joy to work with and we will have no hesitation in dealing with them again.

I can't speak highly enough of the …
I can't speak highly enough of the service and support we received from Kate at Sailchecker and her colleague Lesley. We got in touch with Sailchecker post Irma, when we learnt from another charter company with whom we were already booked that the yacht we booked for our trip in January 2018 was no more and that they could only offer us an inferior boat or a refund less their administration fee. Clearly a less customer focused organisation. I contacted Sailchecker to get their perspective and they pulled out all the stops to secure us a fantastic boat to match our budget. It later transpired there was a problem with that yacht but they got us an upgrade - a new and larger catamaran that met our spec for the same price. Communication was prompt and full and more or less immediate - regardless of the time of day. I can't rate them highly enough.

Hooked on Sailing
I had a wonderful time sailing in Greece last week. Elpida was an excellent resource person who answered all of my questions promptly and efficiently during the planning stages. Polis and his son Jason were professional, friendly, and caring hosts on the trip from Lefkada to Athens. I learned more sailing tips and appreciated their confidence in my abilities to allow me to carry out different tasks on the sailboat. The boat was comfortable, clean and in good condition. I enjoyed swimming most days in the pristine Agean and Ionian Seas. I am hooked on sailing and look forward to my next sailing adventure.

A very useful and knowledgeable company
I first encountered Sailchecker online earlier this year while browsing for sailing holidays. They quickly put me in touch with one of their partners, and I spent a very enjoyable week sailing the Ionian as a milebuilder in April 2017. Buoyed by the experience and confidence gained, I soon contacted Sailchecker with a view to a charter. The upshot of this was a very reasonably priced week from Lefkas to Corfu in the first week of October with friends. It was during the course of arranging this that I came into contact with Elpida, whom I cannot fault, and was fortunate enough to meet in person at Lefkas Marina. Her friendly and easy manner, her communication skills, problem solving and general helpfulness in all aspects of the booking is a credit to the company. She has already been in touch again and has provided some offers for next year. In short, everyone I have dealt with, by phone, email and in person, be they an employee or agent, has been courteous and professional. I am pleased to have found them.

Croatia was spectacular!

From the first contact, I had confidence that we had chosen the right people to help us. Our captain Josip Jospic was so knowledgeable about the islands, food, wine, and culture. We were disappointed by Croatia Yachting's resolution for the unreliable outboard motor and broken paddles. We appreciated your efforts on our behalf. At first I was unsure if this was a legitimate company and questioned who I was sending my money too. Was it a scam. But after careful checking we proceeded and had a great holiday sailing in southern Turkey.

Sailchecker is OK, no major problems, but... to contact them over the phone was a challenge. Kate's phone number sent me to a wrong answering machine, those on the website did not work, I only managed to find a working number on the invoice. One moment I even thought it was some sort of a scam. I hope they will put it right for the future.
