We hired a bus for an 8 hour trip around Noto , Ragusa and Modica. The bus was very comfortable, clean and spacious . Our driver was helpful , friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this company .

I had a perfectly fine experience on this bus. The seats recline well, more comfortable than an aeroplane I think. The ride was smooth and service was on time. Seemed like a great deal to me, a short and comfortable trip from Palermo to Catania. I think reviews just aren’t great because most people only review something if it’s a bad experience. I also left my laptop on the bus and a passenger kindly alerted me and jumped off the bus to give it to me. Thank you <3

On a recent visit to Sicily, we were so impressed by the hospitality of the Sicilians that we felt that we had to share a little of our experience there, and in particular, strange though it may seem, one of the stand out experiences we had, was when we came across one of the drivers in Syracuse, on the SAIS bus line. We recall that his name was Mario, (but unfortunately, we didn’t catch his surname) but he had a truly warm, genuine and beautiful personality that if it hasn’t been called out before it should have been.
In the short time we had together, we got the sense that he was a very decent, loyal and hard working person with an enormous passion for Sicily and his life there.
His bright, clean, friendly smile is almost infectious and certainly unmistakable. We would have loved to have chatted with him much longer, and by chance we did manage to catch him again on another journey we made, and when we saw him, he had the same beaming smile and greeted us on board in a way that made us feel like old friends, which is a priceless feeling to have, especially away from home.
All that aside, Mario was keen to share some great suggestions and information on the many things to see and do in Syracuse, not least of all on the good places to eat, which made our lives so much easier, and such good suggestions they were too!
Whilst we met many fabulous people in Sicily, none made a bigger impression on us than Mario, and should we visit again (which we hope we will), we will certainly look out for him! He really got our stay in Syracuse off to a really amazing start.
Perhaps, if he sees this post, we hope he will get a real sense of our appreciation! And maybe, one day, our paths will hopefully cross again.
