Wow, what a delightful treat box!
Wow, i got so many different things to try! And everything was so good! The softness of the Apple Sweet Potato Cake and how it just melted in your mouth and had just the right balance of sweetness! So happy with my box!

After returning home a bit sad from Japan (I wanted to stay forever) I thought that looking forward to a curated selection of authentic, artisanal Japanese snacks, gifts, tea and beautiful fact sheets about different areas of Japan would be the perfect remedy!
These boxes act as a fun journey through Japanese culture and flavors from different areas of Japan, delivered right to your door.
Positive aspects highlighted by reviews
I love the focus on traditional snacks sourced from local, often family-owned, makers across Japan. I found it amazing that I was just snacking on walnut mochi as a seasonal star in Akita Japan a week ago and here it is in my sakuraco box when I got home!
There's good quality and thoughtful variety of snacks, a mix of sweet and savory treats, as well as premium tea pairings.
I really look forward to unboxing, the contents are thoughtful and elegant and impressive, from the beautiful box design to the detailed, full-color booklet. The guide knowlegely introduces you to each product, its regional origin, and its cultural significance.
I also love the bonus home goods, which are crafted in Japan such as a ceramic teacups, chopsticks, or a furoshiki (wrapping cloth).
It's a unique and thoughtful gift for foodies, travelers, and fans of Japanese culture!

Best tastes of Japan
My partner got this for me for my birthday and they know I looove my snacks. The snacks from Sakuraco are so tasty and I was surprised how many of the options I ended up liking. I also love the tea and ceramics that come in. The teas are really good and the ceramics are so pretty! I cant wait for my next box.
I had my doubts in the beginning
I had my doubts in the beginning, not knowing what I might find in the box, but IT’S SO WORTH IT! I love everything I received! There are some sweet stuff I wouldn’t say I loved (like the walnut mochi, or the sweet potato Yokan), but I still found myself enjoying the different tastes I never in my life have tasted before. It really is an adventure opening the Sakuraco Box. The thrill and excitement opening every snack is something I want to cherish with every box that I will keep receiving. What a beautiful way of experiencing Japan! Love it!!
I enjoy getting my box each month
I enjoy getting my box each month. I especially like the pottery and cakes. My September box had lovely blueberry tarts, dorayaki and tsunami cookie that were particularly yum.
Cozy, Delicious, and Wonderfully Thoughtful!
My Nikko’s Autumn Splendor box arrived faster than I expected, and it was absolutely beautiful from the moment I opened it. Every treat felt carefully chosen and perfectly captured the cozy, rich feeling of autumn in Japan.
The sweet potato yokan was my favourite, smooth, sweet, and comforting, and I loved the walnut mochi, chestnut shiruko sando, and apple sweet potato cake. The savoury items like the miso peanuts and nikko yuba chips balanced it all out perfectly.
I also really appreciate the little booklet included each month. It’s full of interesting facts about the region the snacks are from and detailed descriptions of each treat it makes the whole experience so much more meaningful!
Sakuraco isn’t just a snack box, it’s a moment of calm and discovery every month. I can’t wait to receive next month’s. ☺️ 🍂

I just love receiving these snack boxes. So yum and beautifully presented.
Great value and unique items
Extremely disappointed with Sakuraco's…
Extremely disappointed with Sakuraco's predatory autorenewal policy wherein they make no attempt to contact you in advance of the upcoming autorenewal before your credit card is charged. I'm on a 1 year subscription and, unsurprisingly due to the amount of time that had passed, did not cancel my subscription on time for the next year. I contacted Sakuraco hours after receiving the autorenewal email stating I had been charged for another year's worth of boxes - just under $800CAD. I've been a loyal subscriber for 2 years straight prior to this, and wanted to take a break. Instead I'm now subject to another year's worth of overpriced snacks with no remorse from the company. You would think that customer experience and loyalty would be more important than predatory autorenewal tactics - instead, I'll forever encourage people to avoid Sakuraco at all costs. Furthermore, there are a few experiences posted online where the customer was eventually offered a refund - so why am I not being offered the same thing as other customers? As with the large amount of similar reviews stating this same thing, I don't need your policies re-explained in response. I also don't want "a JapanHaul coupon worth $495USD" as offered via email. I simply want my money back, at least for the 11 unprocessed boxes still remaining at the time of writing this.

Absolutely delicious
Absolutely delicious. I've wanted to reorder multiple treats. I especially enjoyed the Daifuku. I gave this as a gift and it was well-received.
Lost Another Customer
I’m disappointed with how this company handles its subscriptions. Once you sign up, you’re automatically enrolled in recurring payments that renew without clear reminders, and canceling isn’t straightforward. You must contact support or cancel online at least 48 hours before renewal, and there are no prorated refunds if you cancel early. Even worse, they reserve the right to change prices or plans at any time without notice. The policy feels one-sided and designed to benefit the company rather than the customer. I would strongly recommend reading the fine print before subscribing.

My first month order
First of all it arrived super fast and was exited when I got it.I tried all the snacks of this month and it was absolutely amazing having so many different flavours and textures to try out.I can see why so many recommended this thank you!!
Highlight of every month
I love Sakuraco and look forward to my box every month! Each box lasts me 1-2 weeks and I can’t wait until the next one arrives. Last month I tried to cut costs and cancelled my monthly subscription. But the thought of not having Sakuraco was making me sadder than I expected so I started my subscription again after a couple of weeks 🥰
Had a question about teas
Clear, concise response to my question. Ensured my understanding, gave opportunity for questions, always maintained professional demeanor during interaction. Thank you.
Our fist box came
Our fist box came. It was. Beautifully presented and full of goodies. Can’t wait to try them all. The bento fabric is beautiful and I will be making good use of that. Great value for money. Tried many snack substitutions but this is the best.
Second box arrived today
Second box arrived today. Tracking is pretty good, better than some of the other sites I order Japanese snacks from. The plan is decently priced, however the shipping and fees are up there. I do live the snacks and small gifts. I choose the 3 month plan, and according to the site was to receive free chopsticks, still have not received those. Waiting to see if they correct that issue, I did email, and how delivery goes on last two boxes to determine whether to continue. Over all I really like the boxes.
Love it
I signed up for Sakurako box as a treat for myself when I was pregnant three years ago. Three years later my daughter now is looking forward to the Japanese box every month!
October Box
Today, we received our October subscription and are very happy about it. The box always contains very interesting snacks!
Very nice unusual snacks and sweets
Very nice snacks and sweets, that you don't get in any Asian or Japanese super markets abroad. Not too much of obe thing, but a big selection of about 13 things. And akways a nice present like plate or tea cup or furoshiki cloth... Very tasteful and a wonderful booklet with lots of explanations about snack maker, seasonal theme and allergens... Also great customer support, good tracking link, when my parcel was delayed because of customs, but came. Not cheap but worth it for Japan fans on the cultural side.
