I never write negative reviews as I don't believe in messing with anyone else's livelihood, but this was quite literally the worst experience I have ever had with any brand. Sent me the wrong item, promised to send the right one as soon as it was received, then quite literally ghosted me. Funny enough, it was the ONLY suit I'd purchased for my Mexico wedding, and they left me on read for such a long period of time that I ended up having to rush order a new one. Expecting them to ghost me again on the refund and to have to file a credit card dispute. Would 10/10 avoid.
Disappointing Customer Service & Misleading Policies – Shop With Caution
My experience with SAM Los Angeles has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, particularly when it comes to their customer service, return policy, and shipping practices.
First, their return and exchange policy is incredibly restrictive and feels unfair to the customer. Even if you want to exchange an item for the same exact product, if more than 14 days have passed, you are penalized. If the item is no longer available in your size or quantity, you are forced into either store credit or a refund—both of which come with fees.
If you choose store credit, a restocking fee is deducted. If you request a refund to your original form of payment, they deduct 12% on top of everything else. Essentially, no matter which option you choose, you lose money—even when the issue is simply lack of inventory on their end.
To make matters worse, I paid $50 for overnight shipping, which is widely understood across most retailers to mean same-day or next-day delivery (depending on the order cutoff time). While their website mentions a 1–3 business day processing time, it does not clearly state that this applies to overnight shipping. At checkout, the website specifically showed that my order would be delivered on the 17th. Instead, it was delivered on the 18th—making the “overnight” shipping both misleading and unjustified.
Charging premium shipping fees while still taking multiple days to process and deliver the order is unacceptable. Combined with their punitive return and refund policies, this feels less like customer service and more like a system designed to protect the store at the customer’s expense.
I strongly recommend reading the fine print and thinking twice before ordering, especially if you are unsure about sizing or timing. This was, unfortunately, a very poor experience

Thieves!!!! Don’t buy it from this company! The website looks like million dollars but in real life the product is not same as in the picture!!!!! They playing game when you try return the item! Sent you the link ( for return the product) to click but doesn’t work any link !!! Also not respond from your emails!!! When you buy it from them you are in the trap without exit !!!
Absolutely horrible company. My wife ordered 2 sizes of the same item bc she didn’t know how their sizes ran. When she tried the first one on, it fit perfectly so she didn’t even try the 2nd. Upon return they accused her of soiling the item and refused the return. On top of that they wanted to charge us an additional $12 to ship it back. Crooks. Don’t order from this crappy little company.

Bikini was way way too small. I returned the order and they now claim I made stains on it and do not want to provide a refund! Of course I cannot prove the stains were mine!

Bought a grace swimsuit.. as soon as i took it out of the bag one of the buttons fell off! And another one was hanging by a literal thread..so i paid for a $400 swimsuit and immediately had to sew two buttons back on. My husband asked me if it was a cheap knock off from china. Zero quality control
The size chart on their website is inaccurate. The bathing suit top was way too small and does not fit at all. I am usually a size small and this top appears to be a child’s size. They will not allow a return or exchange, despite my request.
I exchanged the mini ruffle dress for a smaller size and still didn't like the fit, so I returned the item with the expectation that I'd get a refund (as per their return policy). After two weeks of waiting for the refund the company sent me a boiler plate email saying "It's been a while since this return was started, so we canceled it for you." The item was sent into the mailing stream 2 weeks ago, so I don't have the ability to "start a new return" as the email suggests. I purchased the dress at full price, and was prepared to eat a 25$ restocking fee, not lose out on 395$!
AWFUL. Do not buy from this company the customer service is terrible.
They changed their return policy after I bought from them, meaning they no longer offered any return options. I managed to get them to agree to provide a gift card if I returned the item at my own cost. I return this tracked and now they are denying receiving it. I’m £300 down and with no product, I’m so upset.
No support from their customer service team at all.

I have bought 2 suits from this brand and both were terrible. The tops are wayyyy too small for anyone with more than a b cup. Was in the open ocean and as soon as the suits get wet, they no longer stay on your boob's. Flashed everyone on the boat and was so embarrassed.
Worst customer service. They don’t ship out on time. They don’t respond to emails and don’t have a phone number. Go read reviews.

I ordered a swimsuit in 2 sizes and returned the one that didn’t fit. Unfortunately, my 2-second mistake of not grabbing a damp cloth to wipe the small makeup transfer onto black (not white!) fabric cost me a $200 refusal-to-restock fee. So, when they wipe it clean and resell it at full price, they will double their profit and take in $400. SAME lost this customer today.
HORRIBLE Customer service!!!
I was on a short holiday to the US and decided to order there to make sure I can try on/ send back. It never got delivered.
Since there was a sale i redordered a second shipment to Europe and got it shipped there.
I contacted customer service. They are very slow and only reply once a week with no solution or empathy. Anyways, they finally answered and (without asking) initiated another shipment, which was unnecessary since I was leaving and already ordered my replacement.
I told them to stop that reshipment since I already ordered again. Their answer " no, we already initiated" (which, btw could have easily been stopped since the parcel didnt leave their warehouse for another two weeks). They said " just ship it back when it arrives"
Package arrives, I want to initiate the return. It doesnt work. I write them AGAIN, their answer: sorry but shipment cant be returned because of our T&C.
Why was I sent a return link then? Why did they tell me it is possible then?
This entire process has been going on for over a month now and is extremely frustrating since you cant talk to anyone and you are just being ignored and not taken seriously. This mistake of a brand cost me 400USD.
Save your money and go buy with a brand that actually cares about their customers.
BTW: The glitter swimsuit is the cheapest quality, and is absolutely terribly cut. It wont even fit a model. Absolutely NOT worth the price.
