While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

I am writing to request an urgent…

I am writing to request an urgent public response regarding a serious product mislabeling issue with your Fidelis Duck menu.
I purchased jars labeled as containing 2.8% fat (the low-fat recipe). However, the product I received contains pumpkin seeds and other ingredients consistent with your 13% fat recipe. The label was never updated to reflect this formula change. Based on dry matter analysis, the labeled fat content is 9.7%, while the actual content is 34.2%.
This is not a minor labeling error. My dog has a history of pancreatitis and requires a strict low-fat diet for medical reasons. As a direct result of this mislabeling, my dog experienced a serious health crisis.
Dogs on low-fat diets have been medically prescribed these foods: often to prevent life-threatening conditions like pancreatitis. This discrepancy between labeled and actual fat content represents a critical pet food safety violation that puts vulnerable animals at genuine risk of severe illness or death.
I contacted your company privately but have received no response. Given the severity of this issue and the potential danger to other customers’ pets, I am now requesting:
1. An immediate public acknowledgment of this mislabeling
2. A clear explanation of how this occurred
3. Details on which batches are affected and how customers can identify them
4. Your plan to prevent this from happening again
I expect a prompt response addressing these concerns.
