Dysfunctionality. Many people who live a life of health and fitness might not realise how dysfunctional their body is and how it effects their training. One of the first things people do is find a personal trainer. The issue with today’s general PTs is that they only focus on training principles in regard to weight loss, weight training etc., They don’t know how to train their clients with potential dysfunction. This can range from low back pain from everyday like to risk of injuries during training. One of the best new discoveries come from the understanding of myofascial, trigger point therapy and anatomy trains. Combined with modern testing protocols such as FMS (functional movement screening) and NKT (neuro kinetic therapy) I can improve both health and fitness, reduce the risk of injuries and dysfunction. Not only do I use standard methods of personal training, I can combine with other qualifications around strength, conditioning and rehabilitation to get the best long term results possible.
