Karina in Zamora was the Angel who…

Karina in Zamora was the Angel who saved us from the extremely painful processes demanded by Santander. It is far too complex and could be made much easier. Particularly if you are not based in Spain.

A big thank you to Karina without her we would not have completed the processes.
It took weeks and many hours and Santander thought it was ok to block our account in the meantime !!

Worst company any problems like hours…

Worst company any problems like hours cut and having cancers a couple days late they raise the loan never let them be your loan company! Going to trade in mine to get rid of them if you get them as your loan company cancel and find another loan company

need a new bank

I have been a Santander customer for over 10 years
all my banking is online no personal interaction after the canton ma location closed.
Went to Abington location was told to wait for the next available person waited 30 an associate told be he would be a rite back waited 20 more he went in the back room and never came out so I left. I think he went to lunch. another person sat in her office by herself the entire time.

Absolute joke of a bank applied for a…

Absolute joke of a bank applied for a credit card was approved, soon after i had a request to take 2 forms ID into branch, 45 min drive each way plus a 40min wait in branch as only 2 counters open, for 14 people queuing, ID sorted, subsequent emails asking for same ID called customer service my bank statement was refused as it was initial not full name, sent copies of driving licence to escalations team multiple calls not sorted absolutly useless bank, now i cannot apply for a balance transfer card again for another 3 months due to credit file showing i have applied for additional credit when i dont have it …. avoid these idiots like. the plague

Cashback ISA offer is a scam …

Santander ISA cashback offer is nothing short of a scam. Don't be fooled by this misleading incentive as they just dont pay out. This bank is nothing short of a rogue trader. Avoid at all cost. They will promise anything to get your money and then find any rxcuse they can not to pay the incentive they promised.

Customer service very rude and don't want to do charge back of faulty shoes bought they have been requesting so many proofs of purchases and emails with purchas making me stressful for 7 weeks now to tell me i did not send back shoes so closed case told them to open it again as we can't send shoes as we asked company to send address and prepaid label which they did not Santander j ow this and make it awfully hard for us to communicate and it is the worse ba j in charge back Halifax is instant charge back then enquire so much better than satander yes satan bank

Great service

Hi, I have just this week joined your Wigan UK branch, should the excellent service, attention to detail and product knowledge continue.
I shall be one happy client.
I would personally like to thank “Rebecca”(sorry forgot her title) for making what I thought may be a difficult task quite simple.
Having never switched banks, invested money or indeed dealt with financial matters, thanks to Rebecca everything went smoothly.

Santander West Bromwich

Went to Santander in high street West Bromwich today to sort old paperwork out the way the staff dealt with the case were so professional and nothing was too much trouble even though there Was a customer was behind me trying to shout over me to get attention from the staff who was serving me unfortunately I didn’t get her name the way she dealt with the situation was perfect 👍

Do NOT use Sandtander!

Do NOT use Sandtander!! I bought a vehicle from the dealership and when they said "you've been approved for financing" they didn't say who it was through and me not knowing to ask a bunch of questions, realized after the fact that I had just signed a 15% interest for a 25,000 car. I told them when I bought it that I wanted the option to pay it off anytime I want and not to have any "rules" and was told that was fine and I could pay it off as soon as I wanted. A few months in, we try to pay it off and get the "payoff quote" they give you. I put the amount in only to be told "you've exceeded your payment amount for the month". I call them to ask what's up because I want to pay the whole thing and am told by Santander that it must be an issue with my bank. Call the bank, and it is definitely not an issue since I have the money sitting in my account and they told me there are no limits on my account and I can make a large payment to my car, and it is a certainly a Santander issue. I call Santander back and another guy says there's a $12,000 limit for the month (why didn't the first guy know this??). I decide to wait and pay the rest the following month. Try again on the 5th of the following month only to get the same message. I call them back yet again and he tells me that I made payments on April 3 and April 27 that put be at the $12,000 so I have to wait until next month. I explained it's May 5, why hasn't it reset. He says it's because it resets on the 17th when my usual payment would've come out. So I asked why did April 3 count in this period then, and he basically had no answer except there's nothing he could do. So I've literally had money sitting in my account to pay off this car for the last 2 months and they've still managed to weasel a few hundred more dollars out of me. NEVER dealing with this company again!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS BANK

DO NOT EVER USE SANTANDER BANK - they are the worst, I’ve been trying (with the help of my branch rep.) to resolve an issue for over a year with NO SATISFACTION.
Save yourself from many headaches and go to another bank.

Absolutely awful "customer service" if…

Absolutely awful "customer service" if you're unlucky enough to have to ring them up. Once you've battled past the appalling chatbot that understands nothing and gives you tons of info you haven't requested, you're then met by staff who are unable to do anything about your problem as they have to refer to teams that aren't actually available. Mine was a next day international payment that still hadn't been processed 3 days after making it. Oh no - have to speak to international help desk. Oh but they've packed up already. And as it's Bank Holiday weekend maybe try next Tuesday - only 6 days after you made your next day payment. Total frustration at the utter ineptitude!

Used to be such a good bank but it's time to can it!

This bank is gotta be the worst bank on the planet I don’t understand how it’s legal to deny somebody to cash a check that’s drawn on their bank from their customer because you don’t have an account with them it’s not their money. It’s the customers money how can they dictate whether they can write somebody a check or not absolute bull crap I really wish they would just go out of business. Absolutely disgusting.

Would give 0 stars if possible, switch went smoothly until it came to setting up online. Lots of different codes, take forever to arrive (2 weeks for 3 different letters). Two weeks later again and im mysteriously locked out of online banking again. Two more weeks of waiting for codes. Awful telephone service. Straight back to First direct I go.

Not all reviews are negative!

Having read so many negative reviews - I am delighted to give a five star review and a huge thank you to Santander Fraud Investigation Team. Notably to Jose the investigator who handled my claim. Classed as vulnerable, I was treated with kindness, compassion and a lot of patience. Being the victim of fraud, in my case a dishonest trader - had a devastating impact on both my physical and mental health. I spoke to several advisors throughout the investigation and all were understanding & sympathetic of the impact that fraud has on a victim. Jose - the main investigator in my case was exceptional! Consistently showing kindness and compassion. Though it was a complex case and took several weeks he tried to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Thank you Jose for resolving this matter in my favour - I am truly grateful. You are a credit to the Santander Fraud Team.
