They added a franchise which makes the insurance non relevant if you have a healthy joint cat as the vet visit are non reimbursed.

Santévet is a really good insurance for our dog, we get very quickly reimbursed and they’re available for any questions. I feel much better taking my dog to the vet since we got insurance with them!

As we have our new house member recently, I had to spend a good time comparing insurances for our newcomer. Comparing to all other animal insurances in Belgium (Figo, Perexpert by KBC, and Belfius), Santé Vet provides more realistic, practical covering at a better price. Mobile app is handy, and staff are nice and responsive.

Trouble free insurance. Claims settled with minimum interactions. Helpful support agents when we have to call. Definitely recommend

Aleays excuses why they dont reimburse. So far, i they payed me back once 40 euros. At first, this invoive was declined too, but after a phone call they paid me back. I don't have the cheapest formula anf i'm very disappointed in them. With the monthly amount I paid for the insurance over time, I could have paid a lot of vet bills myself. Waist of money every month but I'm stuck with a yearly contract

Impossible to get in touch. Most things they do not cover claiming it is preexisting when it is not. I am expected to chase the vet in cases where they cannot read writing - as I live remotely and do not drive, I can not constantly go to the vet to get clarifications. Before signing up was told the app will be fixed (as I do not have a local number), but 1+ years later still cannot register with app. Communication via email and it takes 3 months + to process, after which stage they ask for a clarification and neither I nor the vet remember after such a long time. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I submitted the form to get the reimbursement of an emergency but I received a letter indicating this can be covered because I need to wait 45 days after illness… it doesn’t make sense

I activate the insurance fot 50% cash back, sent 2x bills 66 euros each and i had 20 euros back.
Therefore i would like to be contacted to clarify please

They don’t refund for almost anything. They have too strict rules about what they refund for and the make huge assumptions on what should not be refunded based on an invoice. And this is not what they sell you before enrolling. They also make it extremely difficult to stop being insured and made you stuck with them for a full year with no refunds if you paid in advance. They also renew the contract without your prior consent and there you are stuck with them again for another year. I will never recommend this insurance to anyone.
