Santiago Ways was tremendous! I can easily give our experience 5 stars. Once we gave you our trip parameters, (days we planned to be on the trail and distance we thought we could walk each day), you did all the rest and put together a wonderful daily itinerary. Loved having our luggage dropped off at our next hotel; it was there every day by the time we arrived. For the most part the hotels were wonderful, some better than others, but all very nice. Meals were mostly "very good". Again, some hotels did better than others. Now that we know there are so many cafes and bars along the way, we would not opt for the bag lunch. Overall Great job!

Santiago Ways was very accommodating, easy to work with, responsive and friendly. Our trip went off without a hitch and everything was in perfect order for us at every arrival. The hotels they chose were all great, minus one that was mediocre but worked out fine. If traveling in summer, maybe request AC as much as possible. Having the included breakfast and luggage transfer was heavenly and I can’t imagine another option! Highly recommend for your first Camino as you get your bearings.

We contracted SantiagoWays for our walk from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. We were very disappointed in the agency. To start, they made a mistake in the proposal and contacted me for a further 30€ deposit which resulted in additional international fees for me. I still had to pay 80% of the trip and they wouldnt roll the 30€ into the next payment even though it was their mistake. They were rigid and ridiculous.

Just prior to our trip, a family member fell ill and they had to withdraw from the trip. Although we had purchased cancellation and trip insurance, it turned out that there are very strict cancellation windows for any type of cancellation, even due to sickness or hospitalization. We had documentation from both the hospital and the doctor and it was quite stressful to resolve with the agency. Again, it was very disappointing.

Two members of our group continued on the journey, only need to find out that many of the hotels that had been secured for us had no air conditioner!!! Spain is experiencing one of the worst heat waves in recent history, and when we contacted the agency to accommodate our request to move our accommodations to a lodging with air-conditioning, they told us they could not make any changes to the itinerary once the trip began that they never guarantee AC. That should be in bold print on the proposal.

The accommodation secured for the most part, were very low end, dirty, moldy, and rundown. Many of them didn’t have basic amenities, such as soap and shampoo and the food was not good. To make matters even worse, our lodging in one of the cities had bedbugs!! One member of our group was bitten severely.

We also got nickel and dimed with our luggage because one suitcase was a pound over. It then became an emergency to pay an additional bag fee and overweight fee, and they would not accommodate or facilitate the issue with ease. I later found out that there’s a local transfer company who does it for 5€ instead of the $12 plus the penalty for overweight fee that SantiWays charges.

Overall, I would not recommend them.

Trip went well

Santiago Ways gave me, my husband, and sister-in-law’s walk, from Tui to Santiago de Compostela, appropriate planning as to how much kilometers per day we can accomplish. All, being senior citizens, we were all able to finish our pilgrimage with very minimal stress to a day’s walk. Not worrying on things but we were all able to reflect our religious reason why we did this. Santiago Ways gave us security to rest of our belongings by transferring them to our next hotel. Great company to rely on to. Thank you Santiago Ways! Jun 8 to Jun 14 walk.

Everyrhing was handled well - from accommodations to luggage transfer, though there was a couple of restos where we had dinner that the food was not as delicious as the others.

We just finished the Camino Santiago from Porto as arranged by Santiago Ways. it was fantastic and everything worked out as planned: Hotel reservations, luggage transfer, taxis, etc.

This was the 2nd time I used Santiago Ways, and I was just as happy with the whole experience this time as I was back in 2018. Gracias por todo que hacéis!!

Company was efficient and put together a very good group of hotels to stay in transportation was very good as well just one problem hotel but I’ve done that it was excellent and I would strongly recommend you eat in the hotels significantly cheaper and include wine or beer soft drink as well

Advice provided ahead of time and daily summaries were a great help during the Camino.
They were extremely helpful in assisiting me to prepare and knowing what to expect along the way.

Accommodations were excellent, which made the pilgrimage very memorable and special. Spain is quite beautiful, especially the rural culture and home dwellings. The food and its preparation were delightfully delicious!
Enjoyed the trip immensely!

The luggage transfer was perfect. We had to have it in the lobby by 8am every morning but that got us up and going each day! Use the luggage service, it is well worth it!

Santiago Ways played a part in a memorial walk. The accommodations were varied and the people there were great. The meals were a helpful part of finishing a long walk.

Very poor experience. They quote an itinerary with the correct cities…..then you pay quite a lot of money…..then they book hotels in other cities….that you can reach BY TAXY. As if one person committed to the Camino wants to take taxis. Also, I paid more than 1600 euros, they set me up in hotels that are 50 euros a night in different locations than original agreed BECAUSE they say….the hotels are full. Except that I found options in nice places 140 euros a night. I am spending 6 nights….so 50 euros per night overall is 300 euros….where are my remaining 1300 euros going? In packet lunches??? In my backpack being moved to the next (faraway….) place??? Seriously.
