Absolutely incredible experience. Everything from choosing the right boat and itinerary was made easy. Communication was quick and easy. They do a great job of presenting all of the information to you prior and then delivering on the day of. Our captain Davide was amazing - very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Choosing a full day tour on the water allowed us to see some of Sardegna’s most beautiful spots. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately everything seemed lovely until the end of our day when they scammed us for the fuel. I highly recommend all of you to fill your tanks by yourself in maddalena with 2.13€ per litre as they charge 2.3€ and also lie in your face that the boat fuel tank capacity is bigger (70 litres instead of 60) and that you’ve spent more fuel as the boat is moving.. lol! The boat was perfectly stable and we’ve consumed less than 25 litres which is 54€. Well, they took from us 80€. We don’t speak their language so of course let’s rip them off just because we can, right? Not to mention the owner is crazy, on the boat due to the wind and waves we lost the ice bucket lid, so because we are educated and good mannered people we went to the shop and got a new ice bucket for them (otherwise they said to give them €50, and we got it for €30 from the shop). We gave it to the employees, they said it’s perfect and we left. The owner called us back and treated us horrible asking us to drive back half an hour to buy another ice bucket as this one is smaller than the one they had. We are in a different country, we don’t speak their language. How are we supposed to do that? Trying to ruin our holiday, you are dealing with cold animals not a serious company as they pretend they are, unfortunately.. shame on you for treating your customers like this!!

My partner and I live in Boston (originally from Canada and Spain) and rented the Antares 32 bareboat from Free Charter for 4 days (Tues-Fri) for our honeymoon (we're in our young thirties). We had a wonderful experience. Kamila, Davide and Marco were incredibly helpful, insightful, honest and accommodating. The boat was perfect and ran very well, and the bays we visited and anchored overnight were incredibly beautiful. Truly white sand and electric blue water, with lots of fish you can feed. Many bays had their own beach bar you could boat/swim to. Cannigione is the perfect launching spot to explore the islands and hidden bays of the Northeast. Our only comment was that the water (71F, 21C) was a bit cold, but honestly not too bad! Nights were cool and the days were boiling hot. We didn't have AC and honestly didn't need it due to the cool nights in June.

As a bareboat rental, I had to perform a driving test with Davide and Marco which involved three docking attempts, English (sideways) and two rear. They were helpful with the warm up period it took to get used to the boat controls and they demonstrated what they wanted to see before hand. If you've been boating for a while and have developed an intuitive feel for driving boats you'll be fine. There was no VHF/Radio test. All in all a very casual test, but you do need to have experience and comfort driving.

All-in-all Free Charter is a 5 star place. They have about 17 boats ranging from day trips to 46ft+. Trustworthy, reliable and working towards building long term relationships. You are in good hands here!

Great experience with Kamilla and Fabrizio. Boat was as promised. Detailed instructions and routes, we hot a crash course on the boat when we picked it up. There was a bit of rough sea, but I guess it's normal for this period. If you pay attention in the briefing, there should be no problem whatsoever. You can ask for recommended routes, they will explain with details, so you can make an informed decision. Nice, will rent again if in the area.

We used Sardegna Luxury Rental for a helicopter tour of Costa Smeralda. The tour was beautiful, and the pilot was very friendly, professional, but also very knowledgeable of the local highlights.
