Beautifully made shoes, very good quality but unfortunately not what I’d call “wide fitting” (for my feet anyway!). The star trainers are lovely but look like a normal high street E fitting when you get them out of the box. I also bought some loafers but again they were too narrow. So both sadly retuned.

However I did buy a pair of sling-back shoes a while ago that were fine and I loved them. So either my feet have changed since then or the ‘lasts’ that are used to create the different shoes are all various widths and it’s a “luck” situation.

I ordered the Penelope shoes and they arrived promptly. They looked fabulous but the left shoe was slightly uncomfortable but I have a bunion and arthritis in that foot. After speaking to customer services I ordered the Phillie to compare the two.
They were much more comfortable for me and looked just as gorgeous.Returning the other pair was simple and straightforward.
They are expensive but so worth it. Thank you Sargasso and Grey.

Lovely shoes. Look great. Elegant and timeless. The wide toe area makes them so much easier to wear and walk in.
The original pair in my usual size were a bit too big so I returned them for a pair half a size smaller and they are great.

Really comfortable - I danced the night away! Looked special, too. I’ve now got 2 pairs - one black which I bought a few months ago and now the same sandal in silver.

I have narrow feet with bunions, and was really struggling to find elegant and comfy shoes for a wedding. (I wear 'barefoot' style shoes most of the time, and comfort is important to me.) I wouldn't have ever considered spending this much on a pair of shoes before, but having tried so many brands, I do think you get what you pay for in these (the welcome discount code was helpful). The free returns allowed me to try a few different styles. I settled on some extra wide suede flats, got loads of compliments, and was comfy all night. Would shop here again for special occasion shoes.

I have spent years trying to find shoes to fit me with comfort to no avail till I came across sargasso & grey. What a find! They are a wonderful find. They do tend to be on the long side so I exchanged them from a size 6 down to a size 5. Perfect. I will be trying a pair of court shoes next.

Delighted with my black Krista sandals which are just what it said on the tin. Extra wide fit. In addition if like me you have very wide feet the cross over part of the sandals is high enough up your foot on the inside AND outside of the foot. They are very elegant and extremely comfortable. Danced all night!

Cannot believe I have nice occasion sandals that hide my bunions and look lovely. And are comfortable. Well well worth the money

They fit! They look so flattering! I needed pretty, seriously extra wide sandles for a very fancy wedding to go with an evening dress. I bought the electric blue suede ones with the ankle strap, they even seem comfortable! Thank you.

I have 38 (maybe 37 in truth) sized very wide feet with a high instep. I have resigned myself to Clarks' wide fitting (which are sometimes OK...) but on buying my latest replacement pair, they had changed their plain white leather trainers to a stiffer form of leather and after 3 months of pain and blisters I have to accept they are no longer for me.

I scoured the internet, found your brand and with no hope whatsoever ordered some new white trainers (with a snazzy silver star). I am in HEAVEN! They took about 20 mins of cautious wear around the house before they felt as comfy as socks.

I am delighted!! I will be back soon to peruse the rest of your website. This could become an expensive (delightful) habit!

I've been meaning to order a pair of the trainers for ages, finally got round to it and was not disappointed. They are gorgeous, well made, and stylish. They were snug to start with but are super comfortable.

I was so excited to receive my beautiful trainers in their stylish bag.What could go wrong? Sadly everything! They are not wide fitting and made my bunions very sore. I thought at first they needed some time to break in but this is not the case. After 6 weeks of fairly moderate use they are now falling apart. They were very expensive too! Just goes to show expense is no guarantee of quality.

I ordered a size 10.5 wide shoe. This was much first pair of shoes from Sargasso &Grey and I have historically had bad luck with dress/work shoes because nothing is made to accommodate bunions. The shoe arrived within the expected shipping window, in great condition and it just gorgeous. It fits perfectly and is comfortable to wear. Looking forward to enjoying these slingbacks for a long time.
