This is a new review for a charger…

Left one review to bad service purchasing the ec328
However after finally there being a charger for my 300mah battery
Technical service dont even respond , the upgrade which charges the 300mah however they are so far behind so it doesnt fit the psu, has to be stand alone £280 ive
already had a stand alone for £75 didnt realise at the time
My screen went off customer service did pass to technical but as yet no update nearly a week , fortunatly googleing for a few days sorted the problem .What they say is a replacement harness from the old unit , is just a plug with wires you hsve to connect manually, i decided a chocoblocks to join the orange wire had come loose
Now running with the stand alone charger

Ordered a EC 51 was told next day…

Ordered a EC 51 was told next day delivery.
5 days later still not recived it.
Tried phoneing and either no reply or the phone call gets cut off.
Not a very good service.
And the time i did get thru to place my order the person on the other end had no clue of the stock they hold.
As she said it would be with me next day.
Apparently they didnt have any in stock.
So that delayed it.
And now it is delayed because of unreadable label on parcel.
Hence i am not pleased at all and will buy else where in future.

How customer service should work

I've had reason to call Sergent several times now with various electrical issues - today was regarding the charger not working correctly. They answer the phone really quickly, but more importantly, the people that do so are very competent at answering your questions and following up with detailed information via email to confirm what they've told you. I wish all customer service helplines were this good - rarely the case though.

Rude bad customer service

I cannot give no stars
At my service last week my engineer removed both pleasure batteries.
I expected Sargent to call me at once but they did not, so I called them I was told by support that my backup battery was once again dead but my worries over what would have happened if my caravan was stolen and their alarm did not work. On that call I got no answer just hung up.
I called back I was told you failed to maintain the system so it would be your fault if it was stolen ?? Wtf I emailed and got a rude reply. I asked to speak with a manager was told they don’t speak to customers email in. I did got no reply until today now I have purchased a new backup battery installed it myself checked its working I am told my unit is obsolete and I would be better off buying a new tracker from them for £178.
I am going to raise a formal complaint the unit I paid for and maintained is obsolete a refund is required for battery I just purchased and the head unit to cover the cost of a new updated 4G unit

Can not contact them, very rude man on there lines ,not helpful when eventually got through, took my subscription then rang three days late to say it had not been working for a while, having it taken out and anew one fitted NOT SARGENT

We had a problem with our caravan…

We had a problem with our caravan control panel not connecting via bluetooth or mobile, after calling Sargent and speaking to an actual human being -who spoke and understood the english language ( a real rarity these days when calling a call centre ) Daryl was a great help and diagnosed the problem. Got a call back about an hour later from Andy who walked me through how it it was actually the caravan tracker that had went faulty and he explained what i needed to do and he sent a new one out to me to replace the faulty one. Really easy and so helpful. As the caravan was still under warranty it was all covered. This is how a company should be. Excellent staff. Five stars, well done

Arranged an interview for me which I wanted to prepare for, was promised material I didn’t get. Turned up for my online interview and it didn’t happen.

Totally unprofessional and a terrible way to treat people who are looking for a job.

I won’t name the consultant this time but if I don’t get resolution I will.

I had a new Sargent Tracker System…


I had a new Sargent Tracker System fitted June last year. I have just been contacted by Sargent team letting me know it’s stoped working when I was in Portsmouth 45 days ago it’s a massive Vodafone issue. WHY it’s taken them 45 days to contact me no idea. Just letting you ALL no if you use them FOR SECURITY TRACKING to check to make sure your security system working. You can connect to your app mine shows my last position Portsmouth and will not connect. You will need to connect them tomorrow to tomorrow if you are affected and take Vehicle back to dealership.

Do not rely on this company to protect your Vehicle from Theft!

Purchased a new Swift Motorhome in 2017 which had a Sargent Tracker and have paid the annual subscription ever since as it is a condition of the vehicle insurance that it has an active tracker. In the summer we discovered by accident that this was not working. We immediately contacted the company who informed us not to worry as although it was not showing as working on our app it was still being monitored for theft. They recommended purchase of a new battery which still did not rectify the issue and we then purchased a whole new tracking unit which did sort the problem out. We then discovered that it was untrue that their systems were still able to monitor the vehicle and the vehicle ended up being unprotected from theft for a period of three months, a fact borne out by them refunding us the cost of the subscription for that period. Given that the vehicle was unprotected for such a long period which would have invalidated our insurance in the event of theft of a vehicle valued at around £50k and the fact that at no point did they ever contact us to inform us that the tracking was not active and the vehicle was at risk I contacted them to ask for an explanation of why we had not been informed and asked for reassurance that this scenario could not happen again. In a nutshell they claimed it was our fault as the tracker had not been maintained and had never had the battery replaced, a fact which was nonsense because they themselves had previously replaced the battery under warranty. Despite a follow up e-mail which they took weeks to respond to and only did so after being chased, they are still just using the same old chesnut of the battery not having been replaced! I have absolutely no faith in them whatsoever to keep our vehicle safe in the future, they are quick enough to take your money to provide the tracking service and then fail abysmally to do so. We were lucky that we discovered it wasn't working, albeit by accident (in July) because had we not have done so we would still be totally oblivious to the fact that the tracking was not working or even worse might have been stolen from storage

C44 FUSE BOARD BURT OUT

C44 FUSE BOARD BURT OUT, contact swift dealership and they said my warranty had just expired, service every year. But the fuse board has a push connector block and safety clips spade ends. The parts that burned was the feed 20amp to the fridge, it’s probably been like this from new,
My caravan was nearly on fire, because fuses are under the front n/s just poor response from Sargent.
Can’t speak to anyone on the phone raising a ticket for calls back twice, but no call no response from email.
This should be a recall for safety reasons just very lucky this wasn’t a burn out especially as the fuse didn’t blow??

Tech support are not helpful when they eventually get back to you. They sell to the general public but won't give support/help.
Not a great company to deal with.

CANT PRAISE THIS COMPANY ENOUGH, PAID FOR THE FIXED PRICE REPAIR. IT WAS COLLECTED ON THE MONDAY AND RETURNED TO ME ON THE THURSDAY, FIXED TESTED AND UPDATED. EVEN THE TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT WERE IMMENSELY HELPFUL DIRECTING ME TO THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM IN MY CARAVAN THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE

Pointless products and technical support

Have one of their battery to battery chargers. Set up correctly but keeps faulting out as it detects a wrong battery type is selected but is not. Contacted Sargent technical support. They don't seem to answer the single phone line and so you have to email and wait. Their response was to blame it on Euro 6 systems. With no suggestion how to fix the problem and no reply when I pointed this out. Seeing as the reason to have a B2B charger is for Euro 6 vehicles then pretty rubbish product with equally pointless technical support. If you need campervan or motorhome electric systems there are plenty of better alternatives than the antiquated Sargent products. I recommend to avoid

I have a Swift Caravan with Sargent…

I have a Swift Caravan with Sargent electrics in it.

Sargent are a very poor company to deal with. Support never answer the phone or emails. The main sales number eventualy gets answered and they make promises but you are never called back.
Don't buy anything with Sargent equipment in.

Bought a new EC160 from magnum…

Bought a new EC160 from magnum motorhomes. raised a query with sargent re compatibility with new thetford fridge via there ticket system only to wait some 4 weeks without response which they promise is between 6-10 days. chased them up on the telephone and was promised they would pass message onto tech dept for an immediate response. spoke to lady answering my telephone caal only to be put through to tech dept and to be kept waiting in que 1 for 21 mins without answer. Days later still no response so sent email of complaint in. someone responded only to send me the same installation instructions which i received with the unit and after telling them that I already had them. Received another email from their (supposed tech dept) with the same standard installation instructions.
If you want service backup don't buy Sargent gear

Customer service desk does not answer

The customer service desk ran down the clock on me to 4pm when the office closes and hung up on me.

After waiting 1 hr to get in the 6 operator queue and then a further 1hr 7 mins to get to position one in the queue, 30 mins before the office closed at 4pm, the phone line automatic shut me out and disconnected the line. I am in the South of France, in trouble, where are you when you are needed?
I have a screen shot of my call time, wish I could post it!
