Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. I've stuck with BRDY / Big Blue / Sat works and every other name they've used but i'm on the verge of leaving. Incompetence after incompetence. The only reason we've stayed is because they are cheap. But they've just hiked prices so any more issues and I'm swapping immediately. no reason to put up with it anymore

Living rurally mobile or fibre Internet…

Living rurally mobile or fibre Internet is unavailable. I originally signed up with Konnect who provided great service and I was very happy. Then the company changed hands to Brdy, unfortunately my signal hasn’t been as reliable nor is it as easy to contact the office. Customer service and fault reporting is done online which isn’t much use when your internet signal has gone However the much promised update (with subsequent price increase) has now been fitted so I hope the service will improve. On a positive note any of the staff I have had dealt with have been polite and helpful.

The truth of the matter!

To be perfectly honest I was on the vege of cancelling all arrangements with BRDY having been a client of Konnect whose service I found reasonable enough, not great but reasonable enough. I had complained on many occasions to BRDY about the terrible internet service I had and each time they sent out an engineer. In fairness to the engineers, they were all very courteous, professional and highly attentive towards their duties. The service would inevitably be great when they worked their magic on it and it would remain so for maybe a day or so afterwards! THEY did a great job each time!
I had been told over and over since last September about this super duper new system with "it'll be with you in a month"🙄.
Then a few days ago and engineer called, a man from Tyrone who I was glad to see. He installed the new system and in fairness, so far, so good!
As far as the company that installs and maintains the system is concerned, I couldn't hear a bad word said about them, all gentlemen beyond doubt. Trustworthy, honest, friendly, chatty and totally committed to what they do, with an eye to keeping the client happy in a personal way. I'm very happy with all the people in that organisation.

No phone call to confirm times either…

No phone call to confirm times either the day before or on the day. Waited till 7.30 pm only to find out the engineer was miles away and couldn’t make it. Rescheduled for a week later at 8am. That day the engineer was still miles away at 9.30 so rescheduled for 3.30. 6.20 when he turned up. He then did a good job. Apparently the booking system had sent him to other jobs instead of prioritising me. Clearly this system needs fixed.

Living in a remote & rural location

Living in a remote & rural location, my internet speed was rubbish. I contracted with BRDY for satellie internet, and sat-works are their contracted fitters. They in turn sub-contracted to a local firm, as we are very remote, and the installation was carried out on time, by a highly professional fitter, who did an excellent job. Highly recommended.

The very best service!

I live in the middle of nowhere and have suffered bad internet for years (struggle to get 1Mb from BT). This has been a game changer. Easy to order, comms were great. Howard the installer was perfect.
Even though I don't get 4G signal on my phone, I can get 30Mb via the external antenna. I can't recommend this enough to anyone that needs reliable broadband.

Very straight forward install

Very straight forward install, quick and efficient, the installer was a nice guy. I would recommend the service to anyone, especially those in remote places and living in a small stone cottage.

Dreadful Appointment Scheduling

The engineer when he arrived was helpful knowledgeable and efficient.
Scheduling the appointment for the work was dreadful. You are told the day on which the installation will take place, that you have to be in between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM and that the engineer will contact you on the day with an ETA. The engineer did not contact us until early afternoon with an ETA of 5:00 PM. He arrived sometime after 5:00 PM. In the meantime I had waited in all day. The engineer said that we were the last job of the day. He must have known how many jobs he had, approximately how long each would take and the approximate driving time between each job. There is therefore no reason why we could not have been given a time slot; even plus or minus an hour would have been better than nothing.

Please accept our apologies. Sometimes, we never know how long each job will take and sometimes we are in remote areas where there is no phone signal. Saying that you should have had a call with an ETA. This will be relayed back to our engineer.

Spoke with Engineer Paul prior to…

Spoke with Engineer Paul prior to installation and made him aware of my special requirements as to location of antenna etc. He was extremely curtious and professional throughout and carried out the installation as per my request perfectly. We could not be more pleased and the results are far beyond our expectations. Signal strength amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone with poor wifi.
