I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with SAT Japan. I won the bid for my vehicle on 26th December 2025 and completed the payment on 30th December 2025. However, the vehicle only arrived in Sri Lanka on 23rd March 2026, which was already an extremely long and frustrating delay.

The problems did not stop there. The shipping documents were also seriously delayed, and I only received them on 14th April 2026. Because of this poor handling and lack of timely coordination, the entire process became stressful and inconvenient.

Communication and delivery timelines were far below expectations. If you are planning to import a vehicle and expect professional service, timely shipping, and proper document handling I never recommend SAT. Finally I got support from Misaki from Support but she also couldn’t anything to expedite the process due to SAT operational delay. Due to this I had to revise LC had to pay demurrage etc. Worst Exporter ever 😡😡😡

We would like to clarify that part of the delay occurred due to the New Year holiday period in Japan, during which many businesses, shipping companies, and related service providers operate with limited capacity. In addition, there was an unexpected delay in processing the shipping documents as the bank representative handling the documentation contracted influenza, which unfortunately affected the timeline further.

We understand that these delays impacted your LC arrangements and resulted in additional expenses, and we genuinely regret the frustration this caused. While our support team, including Misaki, worked to provide assistance and updates throughout the process, we acknowledge that the overall experience did not meet your expectations.

Quality vehicles and excellent customer service

I have now purchased 4 vehicles from Satjapan and I have been very pleased with all my purchases. The vehicles were in excellent condition in terms of exterior, interior and performance. Equally important is their customer service. Erica is fantastic as she responds to emails and WhatsApp messages in a timely manner and always goes the extra mile to help. They once canceled my order because after their inspection it did not meet their standard. My experience doing business with this company has been amazing.

I purchased a Toyota Raize 2025 hybrid…

I purchased a Toyota Raize 2025 hybrid motor vehicle from SAT. I am very satisfied and happy to say that my team member Mr. Ryohei and Ms. Emika assisted me to get the vehicle to SL from the beginning to end via my Watsapp group chat and voice calls. Hence I was able to get my vehicle without any delays due to the help of them. As well as take this opportunity to Thanks Mr Suzuki(Team Manager) and as well as my special thanks to Mr.Ryohei and Ms.Emika who did a great job behind the scene on behalf of me.

Stay away from these dishonest guys

Stay away from these dishonest guys. I bought a car from them, and after two months, it still hasn't shipped. I had to open a case through PayPal to get my money back, and they haven’t even returned the reservation fee I paid in advance. Stay away—these people are scammers.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify a few points regarding this case.

The customer initially purchased a vehicle; however, it did not pass the mandatory inspection, so shipping could not proceed. The customer then decided to go ahead with a replacement vehicle, and the updated shipping timeline was clearly communicated.

Due to ongoing global situations and shipping disruptions, there was a slight delay in the vessel schedule. The customer then requested a refund, and it was agreed to process it in full, including covering the platform fee.

Regarding the reservation fee, this is non-refundable as clearly stated on the website and agreed upon at the time of booking.

I ordered several cars from SAT Japan…

I ordered several cars from SAT Japan within last three months. I got my first car Toyota Raize 1000 cc, then I got Toyota Yaris Cross. Now another car has arrived to the port. My 4th car was shipped on 30th of March. Three more cars are to be shipped within this month. My agent is Kai Suzuki who is very helpful and trying to search cars according to my requirements. Ema is my supporting agent who has been working tirelessly to ship my cars.

Their services would have been more improved if the shipping department and documentation department are coordinated well with the Ema and Suzuki. I recommend their management to link all the departments closer so that the customers are more satisfied
