I've got no idea what Scanboat gain from this type of scam but it's very frustrating for both buyers and sellers.
Up to 25 % of boats are already sold.
I have been following the boat market intensively as I am searching for a used Bavaria sail boat. From 37 to 39 feet.
I thus use targeted filtered search to find the specific boat I look for in EU region.
In such search up to 25% of the boats that come up are marked as sold in the search result.
I have contacted Scanboat and they will not remove them from the page and say it’s the responsibility of the advertisers.
I can accept it for newly sold boats for example in 2 weeks after the sale. But for 6-8 month are not serious for a sales platform.
So I find it unserious to have a sales portal where the sellers can use it as they wish and have marked boats sold for 8 months or more.
Besides that I use the platform to find boats and if this get resolved I am ready to change the rating to MAXIMUM.
