Justine Greeson took over from Chloe Kennedy looking after our building in Cheshire. Justine is just as effective as Chloe was, very quick to follow up on enquires, lovely positive manner on the phone and very knowledgeable in property management matters. She has been extremely helpful to me s a leaseholder and is a great ambassador for Scanlans PM
New guy not up to the job
We are at a big complex in Runcorn The Decks.We recently were informed our property manager had left and a new guy was to take over .
I wrote to the new guy with concerns from a number of residents and Leaseholders .A week later after not having a reply I wrote again but copied in Scanlans management .I got an automated response telling I would get a reply within 48hours.I didn't,so after another week contacted them ,again.I was told automatically if I didn't get a reply to contact our property manager ?
I could but he still hasn't replied to my initial e-mail.
I've just paid my service charge, quarterly bill in advance for a service we are not getting.I bet if I stop paying they will contact me
Oh! Its not just me,others are awaiting replies too.
I'm not impressed by their pathetic lack of service.
I shall be advocating we look towards having a New Management co or self manage

To say this lot are useless would be an understatement.
To say this lot lie and come up with pathetic excuses would be an understatement.
If I was running a business and getting negative reviews I’d be mortified and would do everything in my power to rectify the issues, the fact Scanlans never reply to reviews on here proves how little they care.
If anyone is thinking of using these for property
management I suggest you look elsewhere.
Next stop social media, mainstream media, the ombudsman and if necessary a solicitor.
Unresponsive and overpriced
Unresponsive and overpriced. The state of the complex is shoddy and slowly becoming more so. After repeated requests to improve the overall appearance nothing has been done. Requests are not even acknowledged. They are just ignored. Service is poor.
Property Management
Susana Romao is the third property manager at this property since is was built and she is the best we have had in seven years. She listened and quickly responded to our issues and has given us good advice and recommendations for the repairs that have been done. Always helpful and very approachable.

Susana Romao - A credit to 'Scanlans Property Management'
Susana Romao has been the point of contact at my Apartment development complex for in excess of four years, and has always been very professional, helpful and responsive to any of the day to day 'problems' that may occur in a development consisting of fourteen apartments across two buildings.
I have found her to be very capable of efficiently dealing with all the various matters that arise from time to time, ready to explain any concerns of the Leaseholders or tenants, acting on behalf of both these groups to explain all matters related to the development, such as Repairs and Service Charge queries, as well as quickly responding to telephone enquiries on which the residents or Development Management Company may seek advice or clarification on, from time to time.
Susana is a credit to 'Scanlans' and a welcome point of contact for all the residents. Well Done!!

Trying to get a deed of variation signed off so we can sell our property has become a joke.
First a manager Chloe Kennedy told our solicitor the fee for getting all paid, no sign of the deed. Every time I called spoke to someone different who gave a different answer. Spoke to another manager Toni Rodgers who got very shouty and told us our solicitor had to draft the deed up for them to sign. When our solicitor challenged her on this that it was never communicated as that she slammed phone down. How professional !!. 1 week later after paying still not signed. Now in danger of losing house sale. Thank you Scanlans, you cowboys.

Our flat of nine flats was taken over by Scanlans. After my initial scepticism at the idea of a new management company my fears were alleviated by Nicola Hall. She has worked with the leaseholders to maintain our property along side the landlord and proven to be honest and reliable. There have been teething problems but Nicola has communicated every step and helped where possible 🙂
Incompetent
I have been dealing with Ian Magenis (partner) whose main aim is be as unhelpful and antagonistic as possible. Over 10 months since I originally requested my data subject access request and I have still not received.
ICO have had to get involved and tell them they have to supply however they keep delaying and I have had to go back to the ICO.
I own my property and they left me without my main bathroom for over a year due to a communal leak and Scanlans using substandard contractors. I spend 12 months being lied to, fobbed off and inconvenienced then when you make a formal complaint Ian gets involved gaslights you, refusing to speak to you verbally to ensure a thorough investigation takes place and gives you a computer says no response.
He spends his time blaming you or the directors who employ Scanlan’s but refuses to give you their details or allow you to speak to them.
Once I have my DSAR I will be taking legal advice because the only way these bully tactics from this company will stop is if people hold them accountable.
Also the way they run the accounts is questionable, I wonder if they are ever audited as every year we get a considerable increase (which I get due to cost of living) however because we have yearly increase to account for this I don’t understand why we are always having additional charges added in for previous years over spend and in some cases charges for overspends for two year previous.
Great customer service
Louise has provided me with great customer service throughout the process so far of providing everything I need to sell me property and make sure that my account are up to date so that there are no delays.
I was a bit apprehensive when we sold as know that it is sometimes not easy to even get in touch with the management companies let alone them be helpful but I have been proven wrong.

They ought to be call scam lans, I pay a extortionate service charge for a coach house of 41.60 and people in bigger house are only pay 12.50 .to 25 and they do no work, get no help only excuses they should be stopped and this racket stopped ripping of people.
Very poor workmanship and rip off prices
If you can avoid this company, do so!
This company provides shoddy workmanship. Has to be constantly chased to do jobs that should be done routinely.
Then, in the middle of a cost of living crisis they see fit to increase their charge by 40%!
Oh, and they call that a slight increase!

I genuinely cannot express how disappointed I am with the service of this company and I will never purchase a flat again where this company is the management company. No accountability whatsoever!!! Rude responses from Account Management and the site is not being managed whatsoever. I have cleaned the communal areas more than the

Nicola Hall
Our building transferred to Scanlans in June 2022, the previous Management Company not being too good. Having identified an issue with excessive electricity bills I raised this with Nicola. Turns our the previous company had been paying over estimated bills for several years and not submitting meter readings. Nicola has worked hard over the last 18 months with the supplier, who are not over helpful, to correct the problem resulting in a credit of £1300 for overpayment.
She is quick to respond to any issues and get them resolved.

Racism & Harassment. Resident complaints made by British white people only, are actioned without evidence. If you don't fall under this tick box exercise, then you do not exist on the planet or have a valid opinion! Scanlans have subconscious bias, are emotive decisions motivated and unable to remain impartial with their flawed complaints process. Run a mile! Another company that adheres to the post office scandal and full of corruption.
