My Yema Meangraf Super Japan and new favourite shop
It's taken me a little while to review Scarce & Co, at least in past to ensure I wasn't simply gushing, but here we go.
First up I'll talk about the watch I bought: the Yema Meangraf Super Japan. I have a bit of a thing for 70's racing chronographs. I own a few vintage examples and thought a new example made sense: I would certainly have to baby it a bit less than the 50 year old examples I have. And after a hunt I landed on both the Yema Meangraf at Scarce & Co. The Meangraf might not be as iconic a chronograph as the Heuer Monaco or the Rolex Daytona, but it was around back in the day although typically with a black dial. This new version, with is striking black on white panda dial was inspired by a watch appearing in the anime "Lupin the 3rd" and it's as striking in real life as it is in the images. I could not be happier with my new Yema.
And as for Scarce & Co? Their prices are invariably reasonable, their sale prices genuinely impressive and if you are lucky enough to have a discount code or special offer they are bargains. Scarce & Co stock watches that are not commonly available in Australia, offer impeccable service are swift delivery.
Perhaps the highest compliment I can pay Scarce & Co is that I now visit their sore each and every week, checking stock and keeping an eye on prices: the Maurice Lacroix Aikon 39mm is particularly tempting....
