Congratulations Scarpa

I would just like to give a massive congratulations to Scarpa’s after sales service absolutely 2nd to none, for the third time they have come up trumps!😁
1st Manta pro’s 2 years old small frayed stitch replaced with new boots no quibble at all
2nd R-Evo GTX 18 months old again a small frayed stitch immediate new replacement
3rd today Mojito trail shoes at least 20 months old right shoe started to squeak a quick inspection, and immediate replacement with new shoes he even took out my old laces and beds and put them in the box for me!😁😁
Congratulations to Scarpa, as a result I wouldn’t wear anything else, and seriously recommend their boots and shoes totally waterproof and comfortable
Thank you

Rubbish boots trk L

Rubbish boots trk L .
Purchased these from go outdoors only a week ago, fell apart only fell walking. Poorly made, more of a street boot than a bill walking boot. Feet wet, rubber split apart. £190 quid for these and there terrible.
Had my old boots for three years. Scarpa build quality is really low.

Bad quality. Overpriced.

I purchased recently a pair of Mojito Rock all the way from Germany as I couldn't find any in the UK.
Extremely disappointing quality, not at all like it's used to be. Some parts of the shoes didn't have enough glue, and some had too much glue, and it's very visible on the suede. Lots of glue drippings on the soles, like it was made by a 5 y/o; really, really bad finishing. They're made in Romania and not Italy.
Not the Scarpa I used to like, and I think they're way overpriced for what they've become. Needless to say, I've returned them.
It's time to move to something else, unfortunately!

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. I contacted Scarpa as I felt there may have been a manufacturing faullt with my Terra boots (which I have to say are probably the most comfortable I have had). Scarpa fully investigated the issue to a satisfactory conclusion (not the one I was expecting but nevertheless I was happy with the outcome). They also told me a lot about how I walk and the way I wear walking boots - more than I knew myself!

Having been very happy with Scarpa boots in the past I'm now just about to invest in another pair!

NB not all boots are re-soleable which is basically the upshot of my enquiry...

Great customer service

Cyrus women's boots very comfortable but sadly started leaking after about 18 months' moderate use. However really prompt and helpful customer service changed my disappointment. Boots were replaced and I am back as a happy (and dry) hiker.

Rubbish brand

Absolutely dissapointed with this brand first and last time will ever purchase this rubbish, after purchasing a pair of expensive gortex hyking boots from blacks 2 years ago the boots now have a large hole in the side of one of the boots. I should have taken them back after first experience when I started to climb scafell in a shower wasnt out long and my feet where squelching wet. Friends believe I got a dodgy pair. But am afraid wont purchase anything scarpa in future. Wouldn't recommend this brand.

Terrible experience with Scarpa USA

Terrible experience with Scarpa USA. I ordered the Phantom boots ONLY after checking with their customer service and their website that they had them. I ordered and they charged my credit card. Then next day I received an email saying they did not have in stock even though their website still showed them available to order. The took a week to refund only SOME of my money (I ordered from Canada so lost $102 in exchange rates on Visa). Scarpa not only refused to refund me in whole, even though it was their mistake, but consistently took 2-4 days to reply. I would NEVER deal with this company again.

Conmen!

Boots advertised as waterproof online... feet soaking after 5 mins of walking in wet grass. They tested them and concluded that the boots were perfectly fine, sent them back to us. Conmen. Do not buy from them. We are taking it further.

Bought some Scarpa Mavericks

Bought some Scarpa Mavericks. The first outing with them was two days in the lakes. Dayone - The glue around the rand on the toebox had started to fail and the rubber started to lift on both boots. By the middle of the second day both rubber rands had completely come away and parts of the sole were boegining tob
seperate, again on both boots. At this I made the decision to return home early. The boots are absolute garbage. Returned immediately for a full refundn. Seller inspected and issued refund without quibble.

My pair of Scarpa Terra boots

My pair of Scarpa Terra boots lasted 20 months. They cost £160 and split between the sole and the leather upper. The company refused to honour their two year guarantee saying that the boots were worn out - they admitted that any wear was because they hadn't been fitted properly by Cotswold Outdoors. But the split had nothing to do with any wear - it was faulty workmanship. Scarpa say the boots are not as durable as some of their models - apparently I caused the problem by walking too much over too difficult terrain. No one ever told me when I bought them that they were not proper walking boots! Buy another brand

Brand new boots (Scarpa Maverick…

Brand new boots (Scarpa Maverick women's): the lace cleat came right off as soon as I went to tie up the left boot. Fortunately Cotswold Outdoor replaced these but Scarpa would not compensate for the 30 mile round trip that was needed. Disappointing reaction as it was clearly a manufacturing fault.

Scarpa GTX: Extremely comfortable, grip inexcusably poor

Update 2024: Scarpa replaced the boots - no quibble. Grip was marginally better but I think whatever changes they've made to the soles of this model are a retrograde step.

Bought a pair of Scarpa GTX, as my previous pair had performed exceptionally for around four years but the soles had seen better days.

Same incredible levels of comfort from day one but what has Scarpa done to the soles on the latest model of the GTX - the grip level is dangerously poor on pretty much any, slightly wet surface; grass, Tarmac, stone trails etc?

Incredibly disappointing, my old, almost-worn-out pair offer better grip, while this latest model of the same boot simply does not give me the reassurance that my footing is not going to slip, even on a simple country dog walk.

Has anyone found this problem - these are not cheap boots, and I only bought a second pair based on the performance of the first.

Cannot recommend this model in particular, not fit for purpose.

Brand new goretex boots faulty. The worst customer service.

Brand new goretex boots faulty and leaking. Jack Bedford refused to give me refund within 30 days or order and said they are not faulty. He then said he will send them off to goretex for them to be tested. He refused to put me through to a manager or anyone else that could help me. Still awaiting refund.

Great Customer Service

Brilliant after sales service from Scarpa. I had problems with Cyrus mid GTX boots as stitching failed on 2 pairs. First pair replaced by Blacks in Chichester after less than a year of light use, 2nd pair sent back to Scarpa for inspection for the same fault as the first pair. Jack in the after sales was great and I'm now in possession of a new pair of Terra GTX as a replacement. No quibbles and great service

Unexpectedly generous customer service

I bought Scarpa Mistral GTX boots in 2017 and still wear them most days when I’m not in work, and they’re still great. Last week, I emailed them to ask about replacement insoles, since I couldn’t see them on their website. They sent me a pair - for free! I was only inquiring, and twice said I would pay, but they wouldn’t let me. I’m really happy with them. Ironically, a couple of days later one of my laces snapped (again, after more than five years), but I ordered and paid for them myself.

So disappointed

Ive had my scarpa guida city gtx boots for 1 year. At first they were brilliant, comfortable, light and didnt require any breaking in aswel as stylish.
I treated these boots with a high end boot wax/ oil from the off, after all they did cost £200 and continued to clean and apply protection regularly to get a good lifetime out of them.
Quite recently they started to get horrible white stains/ marks/ patches around the top of both boots, i now know this to be blooming.
I sent the boots back as you have a 2 year warranty. Customer service and the after sales manager suggest it’s discoloration, caused by my feet running at a high temperature (sweat). The lower part of the boot admittedly has discoloration, however the top part of the boot is 100% blooming and they have lied there way out of honoring there own warranty.
I will never ever buy scarpa again.
