The School of Counselling is a CPCAB-accredited training provider delivering person-centred counselling qualifications across Levels 2, 3, and 4. Founded in 2023 by Ben Jackson, a qualified person-centred counsellor (MBACP, MNCPS Acc.), the school has grown from a solo operation to a community of around 130 students supported by a team of experienced, practising tutors. We teach one approach, and we teach it properly. Where most training providers offer integrative courses covering several theoretical models at surface level, we train exclusively in the person-centred approach. This depth-over-breadth philosophy runs through everything we do. Our students do not learn about counselling from textbooks alone; they experience the conditions of the approach in every lesson, working with each other as the living material of the course. Our Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies run fully online via Zoom, with small groups and live, tutor-led lessons. No pre-recorded content. No learning alone. Our Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling takes a different shape: monthly weekend intensives delivered in person in Hove, designed for people who want to qualify as counsellors while holding down work and family commitments. We believe this format is unique in UK counselling training. Every tutor is a qualified, practising counsellor. Every course leads to a nationally recognised CPCAB qualification. Every student is known by name.
