Hard to find things, easy to miss comms
Always hard to find things.
I did not have the app installed for a while, because my phone decided to uninstall it. And, I was not receiving any comms. No email. Nothing!!
After missing a couple of things, the teacher reached out directly and asked why we had been missing things. Then, I came to know that the app was uninstalled.

Easy to use
In the start a few dramas with not having a manual or step by step instructions available for posting etc. Tips page helps with this now.
Can be difficult to find a contact number on the helpdesk area. I look at the webpage for this info (and now have it written down)
Looking forward to the upgrade to have multiple tick boxes and logos present.

have to "Clear Data" on Android to keep phone up to date.
When data has been deleted by the school, it doesn't disappear off my Samsung Galaxy S5 unless I go to Steeeings - clear Data. A little frustrating.

Very good communication app
Once we have learned how to use the app, it is easy and clear to use. The parent feedback has been good and they have engaged with the app. Providing a facility that the school can make available at times for parents to provide ad hoc feedback would be useful. Also, if it was able to run on Windows phones, that would improve the available penetration of the market.

Great step towards paperless, fast & reliable communication
We have been using School Stream App for almost all kinds of communication with our parent body. It is a very convenient and flexible tool. The formidable forms feature gives you the opportunity to design forms easily.
There's just one concern that it gets slow, due to the amount of data probably, add at times over taxing for the phone.

In regards to the phone getting slow, would you mind emailing support@schoolstream.com.au so we can identify what is slowing your phone down? We'd need to know your phone make, model, operating system version, memory capacity and memory availability.
It would be unusual for the app to slow your phone down as it is downloading very little data (all content going through the app is mobile optimised automatically for this reason).

Our parents and the school just love School Stream. It is a fantastic way to communicate with the school community and can be used in so many different ways eg. alerts, school events, attaching documents, a click to send an email reply, school absences, ability to 'add to your calendar', and so much more.

We find it extremely handy.
Parents are able to submit absence notes.
We can upload newsletters and notes for parents to access.
We can send out instant reminders of events.

Great tool for communication with all stakeholders!
We have been able to minimise the 'paper trail' and increase the fluency of communication with families through School Stream.
Information is delivered the families instantly to their mobile devices.
The forms are handy for families to communicate with the service also :)
We use the School Stream app, which is embedded into the back end of our WordPress site, every day to share our children's day.
The training when we commenced School Stream was fluent and effective.
There are a few bugs in the site, but the team are very efficient and responsive to any and all issues we have encountered :)
We love it :)
