While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Shocking company

Shocking company. I am currently paying over £1,000 per year for a policy that I have paid monthly premiums for over 20 years which is supposed to pay a monthly income if I cannot work for 6 months for any reason. It turns out that it only pays out if I cannot speak, cannot use a keyboard, cannot use a pen, cannot lift a 1 kg bag of sugar. My advice is buy nothing from Scottish Provident.

Appalling customer service.

Appalling customer service.
7 weeks and counting for an acknowledgement to a request for a decrease in premiums
We've made 5 phone calls to chase the document -broken promises every time , no follow up calls or refund.
But we have received letters advising of the new "increased" payments and reminders to pay!
Rude customer service reps and complaint team.
Thank God we didn't need to make a claim
Would not recommend

Income protection wasted money and time!

Paid income protection for over a decade. Expensive payments, but thought it was a sensible move, just in case. Had spine surgery recently and off work for extended period. Processing the claim application took months, and they rejected my claim. Very little communication. What an enormous waste of my time and money. Cancelled the policy. Would never deal with them again. God only knows what it takes to qualify.
