Paperwork is very confusing, response erratic (sometimes good and sometimes really slow to the extent you think your question has gone into a bottomless pit), person responsible for property seems to change frequently and no-one informs you of the change, when maintenance needed often just get sent a quote with no info about problem.

Straightforward and easy to deal with.

Vicky has been easy to contact and easy to communicate with. She has guided me through what I needed to do to get the property on the letting market and has been a massive help. Vicky has made a stressful time for me less so by being calm and professional, offering advice when needed.

I called Scottfraser Summertown three times to chase the return of my deposit. On each occasion I was promised a call back, and not once did anyone follow through. No one seemed able to explain why a straightforward UK bank transfer could take up to 10 days, nor did anyone take responsibility for providing an update. After almost 10 years as a tenant, the complete lack of courtesy, communication, and basic competence has been genuinely appalling. A very disappointing end to a long tenancy.

We had reached out to Ben to view a couple of properties in Kidlington. He was very attentive during our call and replied promptly to our scheduling needs. On the day of the viewing, he was very punctual, professional and well informed about the property and the surrounding area. What made Ben stand out was his friendly and open communication on our queries. He is knowledgable about carpentry and was able to provide honest insights. The worst customer service I've ever encountered, Summertown Agents are rude, unhelpful, disrespectful, don't care about their tenants or thier tenant rights and seemed completely uninterested in addressing our concerns about the property or about the landlord disinterest in the issues that we have brought up to them. Property is overpriced for what you are given, their concept of this is mid boggaling and they do not know that the law for rentals have changed, and that tenants have way more rights than the landlords, they will never ever on their tenants side in any issues or complains. Extremely unprofessional, gave inaccurate information about the property, and showed a lack of urgency in finding a solution to problems or concern. Lack of information given to them as proof, lack of understanding of the rules and regulations that have changed not only in England but the UK as a whole. They push of your concerns, never wanting to find a solution, very bad management. SF failed to complete the inventory before the tenancy commenced. Having rented properties both nationally and internationally for years, I can confidently say that this is by far the worst property management company I have encountered, and are utterly incompetent at their job. will be applying for regulatory bodies to put official complaints for their licences

I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Caia Pereira during the purchase of my first flat and I was truly impressed by her professionalism. She went above and beyond in every aspect of her role, consistently addressing all my queries with effective solutions. Her contribution was essential in speeding up the process. Avoid at all costs - we rented from a dodgy landlord called Peter Leung through Scott Fraser. Mass incompetence, dishonesty and carelessness. Took 3 months to get deposit back.

All round excellent experience from start to finish. William Davis was super helpful and always on hand to answer any questions or queries both about the property and application process. His speedy responses and transparency made the experience easy and stress free. Scottfraser were also very accommodating in allowing for a virtual viewing as I was unable to view the property in person. Emma was incredibly helpful and video called me to show me round the property and also answer any questions. I am also thrilled with the property. I would thoroughly recommend Scottfraser to anyone else.

It is been a pleasure dealing with Caia for the purchase of our first home. She has been great though the entire process.

We rented a house in North Oxford through Scott Fraser. The initial experience was fine, from viewing to getting our tenancy signed and negotiating some issues to be fixed as a condition of the tenancy. But it all went spectacularly downhill after we moved in. There was no property information provided, and some of the information in the inventory was wrong. One of our appliances was dangerous to use and took 2 months to replace. We were passed from pillar to post, the property manager kept changing and the only thing that was fixed in good time was a leak. All other issues were put on a list to be dealt with goodness knows when. The end of tenancy process was awful - poor communication and they hounded us for spurious costs despite us leaving the property in better condition than when we moved in. Absolute sharks.
We did wonder whether this just was an unfortunate experience so we spoke to the following tenants when we gave them our forwarding address. They had the same issues repeated - all the information we’d taken the trouble to correct at the end of tenancy had simply been ignored, and if we hadn’t contacted them they would have had the same problems of trying to understand basic things like where the water meter was and the code to the burglar alarm. This company shouldn’t be fit to operate.

It is a great experience for me with the oxford store. They are professional and willing to provide the warm service, as well as the combined strength of both sales and letting. It is a joyful journey!

Scarlett rescued me after I managed to lock myself out of my apartment as I was moving out of it, saving me hours of waiting around outside in December in just a t-shirt and jeans. She then helped me finalise the details of my vacation of the property. She was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful throughout what could have been a much more stressful experience. Scott Fraser used to be an excellent company with a skilful and dedicated staff who looked after our properties brilliantly. It has gone COMPLETELY off the boil. They never reply to emails from landlords and never return phone calls. I strongly suggest any landlord avoids them at all cost.
