Very easy to add funds and withdraw funds. You always know how much more you can add to your ISA. The only gripes I have are the changes they made so we can’t compare performance using graphs, and I think the charges are too high.

I expected money to be taken out of my account on a specific date, and placed into an investment account. It didn’t happen and I had to contact Scottish Friendly. There was no clear explanation for why it didn’t happen.

I have been trying to resolve a login issue with my child’s junior ISA for month with no success. I have phoned multiple times and have an ongoing email exchange where nothing has changed. Not even an apology about it either. I am trying to increase payments to my son’s account anyone would think they don’t want the custom. I am stopping payments and opening a new ISA for my son elsewhere. Terrible customer service and an awful online system.

We set up this account for my son and only my husband has access to view the account in full, but it’s super easy for other family members to make contributions too. You just send them a link, they register their details, create their own pot so that my son will know who his payments for his future have come from and send the payment! The only negative is it doesn’t collect the payment immediately and you have to wait a few days for it to reach the account.

Scottish Friendly - a Scottish stereotype of not wanting to let go of money. Especially if it's someone else's money.
I wanted to register on their myplans site so I could start a pension drawdown. Their site rejected my details so I had to ring them. Phone was answered quickly and the person on the phone was pleasant. However when I gave them my details they told me they don't allow drawdowns, I could either take the lot and pay tax on it or take nothing.
If I wanted to drawdown I would have to move to another provider. So that's what I am doing.

I had a very pleasant chat with Catherine this afternoon who helped me out a lot with something that had been giving me some stress. It was reassuring to hear her lovely voice sorting out my issue.

I am completely disgusted with this organisation. I took out a child trust fund for my grand daughter which completed on 23rd December 2025. She lives in the US and the absolute morons in that office cannot figure out how to send it to her. She even opened a different bank account with Capital One and still they cant figure out how to send it. They even lied to me that they could send a cheque in dollars but couldn't figure that out either. We are now 4 months down the line and she still doesn't have her money. Beyond ridiculous..
