Cannot recommend this company enough
Cannot recommend this company enough. I’ve had pet insurance for 10 years and never had to make a claim and in the past 2 weeks we’ve found ourselves in a terrible situation and had to make two different claims. Our beloved dog Honey started with glaucoma and rapidly lost her vision. A week later experienced horrific bloody stools and dehydration so bad she had to be admitted to an emergency vets. The vet bills are frightening even though you know you’ve got peace of mind but sometimes you’re waiting for a BUT about paying. I can honestly say we were not waiting long to be reimbursed for the first lot of treatment and the second lot was dealt with directly between the vets. Customer Service is exceptional Elise was so lovely I spoke to the same advisor twice, unheard of with most organisations these days. She was compassionate and supportive. We have insurance for both our cats here and feel very lucky and confident we are with the right insurers.

Taking this to the FCA
Given the sham nature of the review of my claim, I will now put this matter in the hands of the Financial Conduct Authority. I am hoping they will apply a more balanced assessment of my genuine claim.
Still looking for every reason NOT TO PAY a 100% genuine claim. I challenged the original claim decision, but without presenting any new evidence they rejected the claim again. They spent all of their time highlighting policy small print without making any further CLINICAL investigations. So they are continuing to make an ASSUMPTION regarding a pre-existing condition without having any proof whatsoever. The assumption suits them because it allows them to renege on their duty to pay.

Good efficient service and quick payment of claim
My french bulldog unfortunately was diagnosed with IVDD. This required an MRI scan to confirm and surgery once it was. I found the scratch and patch adviser on the the phone very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The phone system to get through to an advisor was very chaotic but I got there eventually. You have to claim online which was straightforward but did take some time. I had to make multiple claims for the treatments at various times. I was kept informed via email at each stage and my claim was paid into my bank in a week which I was amazed at but I did have all my receipts & vets information to hand. This is the first time that I have had to make a pet insurance claim and have been very impressed with the service from start to finish.

Handled quickly
Only a small claim as far as vet’s charges are concerned but handled quickly. Was quite surprised that some of the claim was omitted due to the vet charging over 100% markup on one of the drugs. Will know in future to ask the vet. Just shows how we as loving pet owners are being ripped off by vet’s charges.
