I don’t subscribe to many things, but this site is definitely worth it. I’ve learned so much from their tutorials on topics on which I am interested. The speakers are generally very good, though I must confess to a preference for Don (The gentleman who started the service) and Allison (who’s enthusiasm always comes across).
My only “complaint“ is that I have suggested apps to review over the past few years, but they often don’t get reviewed. I suppose this is inevitable since there are so many apps deserving of reviews.

I want to highly recommend ScreenCasts Online. I have learned so very much from these tutorials over the years. Always professionally done & easy to understand. If you ever need to reach out to them they are so quick to respond. They go far above & beyond whenever they can to help solve a problem or answer a question.

Honestly, most of the time the reviews don't pertain to anything I can use, but I've gotten several absolute gems (Like Devonthink) from the screencasts that I'm sure I wouldn't have ever found if I hadn't been a subscriber. For that alone it's worth the price of subscription.

I've been a subscriber to Screencastsonline since around 2007 when Don did every show himself. I've been a willing subscriber ever since.
Don, Todd, Rosemary, Lee and Alison are all great presenters, each with a different style and focus. Don's production teams always deliver a quality screencast, as well as a magazine!
Through them, I learn enough about various Mac software pieces without having to download a trial and just dabbling. (I do that after they've reviewed it and feel adequately prepared to honesty decide if I'll use something or not!)
Even if the software under review isn't something I'm immediately interested in, I always learn something that tweaks how I might use another piece of software differently!
I have no hesitation in paying the subscription fee and recommending SCO to anyone who is new (and not so new) to owning a Mac. Screencastsonline is one of my 'must-have' resources; I always install the SCOMembers app when I upgrade a machine or my OS - they're just part of my operating system.
Yup, I'm a fan!
I have been a subscriber to Screen Casts Online basically since Don started it. I have to say that I think that it is the best podcast online, particularly for Apple products and software. The shows are always interesting and well presented. I cannot recommend it highly enough, it is a great show.

I have been a SCO member from the very beginning. I am always learning something new, even if it is only a short cut or a slightly different way to do something. I don't necessarily watch all the sessions but know I can always go back to the online 'library' of shows or the magazines if I need to refresh or review an aspect I’m working on at the time.
Very much appreciate the way Don has the programs running as it suits my style of learning.

Excellent way to keep up to date of useful Mac Software and to learn how to better use it.

I can' remember how many years I've been a subscriber to ScreenCastsOnline. Too many, I'm afraid. Maybe as far back as Don goes when he started. Whenever I have needed to know more about important products, I have trusted his service to provide me with the answers I need, whether it is possible pre-purchase information or how to work with a product I have already purchased. Keep up the excellent work, Don!!

Overall, this is an incredibly useful site. It would be nice if they considered trimming some extraneous detail from their scripts (e.g., I don't think we need to see how to download an app and its installation prior to the tutorial—unless the install is really out of the ordinary), but otherwise, they cover apps very well and have helped me navigate several apps before I decided to purchase them too.

The instructional videos are informative for beginners to moderately experienced users, of a uniformly well done quality, and mostly relevant. When major updates occur to something they’ve covered in the past, the service often issues new instructional videos to cover the updates. The Apple TV app is very useful.

I have subscribed to Don's screencasts for many years. I have found the quality of the screencasts to be extremely good, unsurpassed by anyone. The variety of the screencasts are always interesting and timely. I especially appreciate the library of screencast maintained on the website and I am constantly referring to past screencasts for review.

Interested in mac & iOS software but not sure what’s available and more importantly is it for you. Look no further ScreenCastsOnline is worth ever dollar. I’ve been a member for 10 years+ and still look forward to what’s on this week.I’ve learnt a lot even about topics I only have a slight interest in.

One of the most useful assets - especially when searching old episodes for info about little known apps.

When a tutorial is of interest, I enjoy the depth and presentation. However, there are less of the tutorials that I actually listen to as I find them gearing more for the corporate or business environment, or on topics that are of no interest to me.
My rating is based on the decrease of tutorials that I watch, and not on the quality or depth of presentation.
