Great programs for pre-med students. I hope they will offer a 300 level parasitology class as well, like the class offered at New England University Online or university of Florida.

I took CHEM 351 5 week accelerated course online and it was a very good experience. The professors were helpful and although it was very challenging, they give you a fair shot at passing the class.

The professor for my course was extremely difficult than necessary and was not understanding, or accommodation friendly. I had informed her in the beginning of the course that I was deaf, and the professor emailed back with a link to SCU's accommodation team, which I didn't need because the course was online. The proctored test is excessively strict, because I had to pay out of my pocket for an external webcam. When I had to take a practice proctored quiz, I failed it THREE times, because she complained about the "background noise" and "I didn't show enough work space" and something else. I kindly reminded her that I am deaf and I am UNABLE to hear any background noise, because I live at a deaf university, so of course, it's loud here. She gave me a zero for that. She gave me a zero for another attempt because I "didn't show enough workspace" when I reviewed the video, and it clearly showed my hands, the table, and my paper & pen. We went back and forth and she eventually gave up and allowed me to take the exams. Just a heads up, she is extremely picky and will flag almost literally anything.
The pros of this course is that it's short and online, so I get to do it on my own time and at my place. The assignments were reasonable and was not overwhelming to complete for a 5 weeks course.

I felt like I didn’t receive proper credits for my final exam

A great option for a flexible and quick prerequisite class for Med/PA school. Work was tough, definite learning curve, but they want you to succeed and get on to the next phase of your education.

Very convenient, while attaining a great education! I am working a full time job and it was very doable. I needed to get transcript sent over and SCUHS made it easy to do. Overall, would recommend this course and University.

Teachers do not teach and then make exams exceptionally difficult for no reason. Then fail you on the “lockdown browser” protocols for the most ridiculous things like a milliliter of the camera frame being out of view. This is coming from a student that has received only A’s. It is a money grab and they don’t care about student success in the slightest. Another example: one time I asked the professor for important topics that might be covered on the exam and he responded “any topic that was highlighted as important in the textbook” which was 18 chapters of material and EVERY SINGLE WORD/PAGE was highlighted. A study guide was not provided nor lecture slides.

The organization and pacing of the course was good. Exams were a good length, but some of the questions were difficult to understand. There were times when I felt that the course material did not help prepare me for exams. If the study guides were more concise, I would had an essier time preparing for exams.

I enjoyed the learning process. I took nutrition course and learned a lot that I'm going to apply toward a better lifestyle I know that rally doesn't answer what's good about the
Company At the beginning of the course my grades were ok but I scored lower than the class average on everything so I reached out to the instructor and she sent me questions for the chapters to go over and I did. I worked through the questions as I worked through the chapters and I scored higher on everything. For the finale I scored well above the class mean all of my final scores were above the class mean.

I was surprised how compared to other classes at other schools these professors don’t assign extra credit work or the opportunity to retake an exam if you fail or receive a less than ideal grade. The grades seem very “set in stone” you have to be near perfect to get a good grade. I understand it’s online and self paced but there is absolutely no way to bring your grade up if it falls behind. Better get it right the first time.

Dr. Fathi does not get back to emails. The tests are unreasonably hard and not fully like the lectures we learn.

The classes are so expensive with the most minimal instruction from professors. You essentially have to teach yourself the material at an accelerated pace and you have one week to decide if you’re capable of doing that before you get a half refund. I was able to cancel within the first week and owed 1/3 of the price of tuition. With all of the non refundable fees (including a $100 fee you pay in order to pay your tuition. Which is different from the $70 registration fee), I got about $2000 back on my class that cost me $3700 originally with tuition and fees because I cancelled it within four days of beginning the class. It was truly such a scam. Maybe it would be good if one of your prerequisites expired but you’ve already taken the course and need zero instruction and your willing to pay 3700 for a self instructed lecture and lab

The professors were very kind, reached out, and responded quickly. The material was challenging, but not impossible and took a lot of studying to stay on top of it. The main reason for only 3 stars is the powerpoints and lectures were not helpful in the slightest. There was way too much information on them and they need some serious revamping. The rest of the class was pretty standard and I have no real complaints other then the powerpoints.

While I was able to complete the courses I needed to in a short amount of time for grad school, I was not impressed. The first few weeks of the course I had terrible interactions with professors. In one meeting I had with Dr Davis in the physics department we had to reschedule several times, and then he was very distracted, disoriented, and unprofessional. He cursed in our meeting, and overall wasn’t very helpful. I also noticed that many announcements from the four classes I took over two semesters had the same messages, as though AI wrote them for the department, again unprofessional and very impersonal. I also received tutoring almost weekly. One tutor, Shaina Rawal was very helpful, but everyone else seemed to be a waste of time. The professors couldn’t answer my questions and I found googling my questions to be more helpful. As I continued on for 10 weeks, I got better at engaging with the classes and figured out how to work with the style, but initially my interactions with SCUHS were poor. I apologize for these harsh comments, but I want you to know how this university comes across.

The professors are not mindful of the accelerated nature of the course, they do not make the PowerPoints or study guide and the recorded lectures are just them reading over the slides. This course has not been thought out. I don’t recommend anyone take it.

There was a ton of miscommunication and when I tried to figure anything out for the payments every person told me something different. When no one could answer and clarify my account got locked. I payed way too much in late fees for things that were not my fault. Whenever I tried and spoke to someone they were mostly rude and condescending, the disrespect I experienced was just not right. This was probably the worse experience and unfortunately for you guys I was going to take a few more classes but after this experience I’m reconsidering my options.

The expectation of time spent was extreme. I have other classes as well as working and they expected me to spend 4 hours a day to keep up with the demands of the class and they made that clear. Then I spent my own personal money to buy an external webcam to met with the testing guidelines and set it up best I could with the limited space I had and they still complained and refused to accept the best I could do with my set up and I wa denied from taking the exam. Thag was the straw that broke the camels back for me after going through some of the the most stressful two weeks of my life trying to keep up with the extreme demands presented to me. The class content itself made zero sense. The lecture videos were short and didn’t go into detail about the topic and would quickly move to example problems where he would come up with numbers I had no clue how he got to input into equations. Genuinely the worst class I have ever experienced in my life, including in person and online classes I have taken previously.
