Thanks to everyone at SCVA for the exemplary care that I received. I got to see Dr Leatham, an expert cardiologist, within a few days of an urgent referral. All the required tests were available on site, results and diagnosis were quickly available, communicated well and further treatment arranged swiftly. At a difficult and stressful time, the team did everything they could to help me through to a successful outcome.

Try an Nhs appointment for comparison. I could park nearby not circle round for up to 40 minutes .A cheerful waiting area with coffee etc and helpful Receptionist. Nurse taking blood fun and relaxed not stressed out like in RSCH .Consultant likewise ,he saw you as a person not just another "case".

I met Dr Leatham to discuss the results of newly introduced technology/analysis from CariHeart which provides a more detailed assessment of CV risk based on CT scan images.
I found him very pleasant, thorough and passionate about addressing preventative measures, including using the latest technologies/protocols.
The staff at the clinic were also very helpful and responsive. Highly recommended.

I arranged a heart scan with Surrey Cardiovascular Clinic in Guildford for peace of mind 3 years ago.

I was surprised when the consultant informed me that I had significant plaque build up. I was put on statins and advised of various lifestyle measures to maintain my heart health.

I have since moved to Barbados where my local GP noticed some atrial fibrillation and put me on beta blockers. On a recent vacation visiting my son in Dubai I noticed on my Apple Watch that my heart beat had been inconsistent for a number of days.

Unsure of what to do I contacted SCVC who immediately arranged a telephone appointment with a heart consultant. Dr Leatham advised of the risk of stroke where AF continues for more than 12 hours, provided a prescription and advised that I immediately started taking anticoagulants. I was able to enjoy the rest of my stay with peace of mind while Dr Leatham’s secretary arranged for an ECG, echo cardiogram and CT scan during my short stop over in England. I have now completed a full heart assessment and have started a new regime to bring my AF under control.

I cannot recommend SCVC more highly. Their immediate response via their 24/7 consultancy facility may well have saved my life and the follow up procedures to allow me a full check up during a very short window were remarkable.

Their equipment is state of the art, unmatched in most countries and available at a fraction of the cost of equivalent facilities in the USA.

My wife and I have both had recent consultations, and various test, undertaken at the SCVC. All reviewed by Dr E Leatham, who we both find most helpful, polite and highly understanding of our differing needs.

I had a number of tests conducted at SCVC and all were conducted extremely professionally but also in a friendly and supportive manner which in my view is even more important as such tests can be concerning.

My follow up appointment with Dr Leatham was exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable, engaging, friendly and professional. Crucially his bedside manner is simply the best I have ever encountered in any Doctor. What could have been a nerve wracking experience turned out to be utterly enjoyable and helpful. I simply cannot recommend SCVC enough!

I was most impressed with Dr Leatham in all respects, and am extremely grateful for the additional length of time he spent with me. I now have a far greater understanding of things generally and specific to my own heart issues. His clinic is a great resource for Surrey, providing an essential service not available on the NHS (Heart CT scan combined with other testing, and consultation review).

I had 2 consultations with Prof Behr, supported by his team secretary Emilly. Both consultations with Prof were excellent, I was explained well with regard to symptoms, investigations, diagnosis and Treatment plan.
He was honest and discussed all the results with myself and son,
He was very kind and compassionate when explaining the results , findings and treatment plan.
We really appreciate the support and treatment we received during the difficult period.
Emilly was very helpful , listening and reassuring.
