Danger Danger ....This company scammed me

This company scammed me! My friend was not able to come to the Kean concert last year so I sold the ticket through seat surfer because it was supposed to be safer for both parts, I sent the ticket with tracking and I actually met the person who bought it because she was sitting next to me, she showed me she paid in the website, I even have evidence from her bank account. I never got the money that was supposed to be sent through paypal...the company never replied to my emails.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BUY/SELL…

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BUY/SELL TICKETS! Sold tickets to an Elton John concert last year and haven’t received money. Have sent several emails. I had a reply in the beginning but have been ignored since. I am owed £180! I am going to be taking legal action to make sure I get this money back.

Bought from Seat Surfer's own account on the site - disaster

I bought tickets from the actual account owners account (Lewis Danby). Got to the concert and had my tickets (e-tickets, printed), had a bad feeling about it from the start - i never use sites like this but had got the tickets for my BF for an xmas present to a sold out gig he really wanted to go to - got to the front of the queue and when the tickets were scanned (surprise surprise) the barcode i had had already been scanned. i was extremely lucky in the guy that scanned pulled me aside and i explained they were a present for my boyfriend and he let us in anyway to not spoil his day (standing tickets). I wrote a complaint to the seat surfer website afterwards and they didn't believe me (no shock there - the 'company' was replying to me but it was actually lewis danby himself as he didn't think i'd clocked he was also the seller). They claimed I was lying about the tickets not scanning, saying I was trying to get a refund for no reason and that didn't happen. absolute disgrace DO NOT USE. I was lucky I got a nice security person on the day but was totally SCAMMED out of money by lewis danby and 'seat surfer' - a fake company ran by a very cruel person with no conscience, please be careful and avoid like the plague.

Reply from SeatSurfer

Hi Emily, thanks for your feedback. However in a situation where a buyer claims they have been denied entry, we need proof of this. At the venue you would have been given a refusal of entry notice to apply for your refund. As you entered the concert and could not provide this, and when we contacted the venue we had a completed scan of the tickets, we were not able to grant your refund. This is standard practice across the ticket industry, if you would like a refund for your tickets I would advise that you obtain your entry refusal from the venue, then we'd be more than happy to investigate and refund if necessary.

A pleasant experience from start to…

A pleasant experience from start to finish! I've used Seat Surfer on a number of occasions and I have always been pleased with the service, give it a try. I saw Ariana Grande in Birmingham a few weeks ago thanks to last-minute tickets bought on the platform at a good price, I also saw Katy Perry last year with tickets purchased via the platform. It's a safe platform and whenever I've had any issues, the team have assisted promptly.

SCAM

Bought tickets from a seller through seatsurfer. Seller informed me tickets had already sold and didn't know why they were still listed. Seatsurfer wouldn't refund me. Luckily I raised a dispute with PayPal and received my money back. Avoid this company

Selling non transferrable tickets

I naively bought tickets on here for Ed Sheeran as I clicked through from a Facebook advert. As the date got closer I started to ask when I would receive the tickets. The seller did not respond. I contacted seatsurfer admin raising concerns about the tickets being e tickets and non transferrable they finally replied 48 hrs before the actual event to say I should’ve received emails (I hadn’t, and they weren’t in my junk either), and that they had procedures in place for such tickets. Given you needed your payment card to get them I wasn’t happy with this. Fortunately some tickets were relisted on ticket master so I bought 2 more and could still go. PayPal are refunding me. I would never buy tickets from seatsurfer again.

Scammmm

Scammmm, not received payment yet two months after the event. No one is replying to my contact emails. Absolutely rubbish. Called PayPal and was told payment was issued to another account.

Wish I could leave 1 star

Wish I could leave 1 star. Paid for 2 tickets last Dec for a gig in May. No tickets or refund. I opened a PayPal case against them and "Jess" emailed me begging me to close this and promised my money back. I naively did this and here I am 6 weeks later and still no refund.

I urge EVERYONE to stay clear of these scam artists.

Missing Money - £1200. Terrible customer service

This company is filthy, I never usually write reviews on companies however, this is a one off

I sold over £1200 worth of tickets last month (sold them end of March) however, the concert was 5th of April. They state that sellers will get paid via PayPal within 3-5 working days, I allowed this to pass and yet received no payment

I sent many emails, they requested I set confirmation of the tickets and my driving license - which I did. This was not enough as the confirmation did not show me home address

They then asked to provide a confirmation of my transactions along with my name. Which I did. They said that this was not enough as it did not show my address, they did not ask for this in the email. Just the name

Okay, I then sent a statement with my transactions and address. Was this enough for them? No. They said that my home address should be on my transaction page. I have over 3 pages of transactions, why would my name and address be on top of each transaction page, bar the first page with the account overview? My sort code and account number is on the transaction page, which is the same as the first page with the account overview.

I have over 41 emails in correspondence with them (mainly me, they barely reply). They know exactly who I am so I am wary of them reporting my review.

No matter what, I am getting my money from them I would like to add. Under the UK laws I am entitlled to getting my money and it seems they are a company willing to take the risk and break the law.

I wish I could give 0 stars. To be honest, if I do get paid when they promised I would have given the company 5 stars as the tickets were sold quickly and promptly but they have brought this upon themselves.

I would also like to point out, I created this account just to post a review about SeatSurfer. I am not SPAM (as reported by SeatSurfer on previous reviews), I would not be bothered to write a review this long if this experience did not happen to me

Update: after sending over 110 emails, they have finally sent me the money of 3 transactions. I am still however, missing one transaction for the value of £360. IT HAS BEEN OVER 2 MONTHS.

The main lady who answers the emails "Jess" is a compulsive and consistent liar. Her emails are so information she cannot even be bothered to write her name at the end

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO USE THIS COMPANY, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND THEY WILL REFUSE TO PAY YOUR MONEY

Missing over £1000 in payment!

Poor company to deal with, I will change this 1 star to a 5 star once I receive my payment

Sold 7 tickets on SeatSurfer amounting to over £1000 and have still not yet received payment. Everytime I get an email back from the company they mention to send proof of the tickets that I purchased along with a scan of an identification card to prove its me - which I have sent many times

Poor customer service, I have sent over 5 emails today along with a twitter and facebook message but yet still have not received any reply. It also seems they have no contact number, only email which is even more frustrating

This company would get a 5 stars from me if they decide to pay me the money I am owed as they were quite seamless sales however, until then I would recommend to everyone not to bother to sell your tickets on this site as they refuse to give you the money you have earnt!
